Poorly documented and long levels

This could be an excellent game, and it really is, except for two things.

First, the game is very poorly documented. If you're a hardcore gamer, you'll figure most of it out. But the one thing that I couldn't figure out is how to get to a point where I can actually save my progress. Either there's something I couldn't figure out, or the there is way too much to do between game save points. In either case, I got tired of having to do the same things over and over and over and over and over again just to get to the next part of the game.

Disappointed...

I'm not a hardcore gamer, and I'm fairly new to xbox games...but I really enjoyed playing Oddworld (munch's oddysee and stranger's wrath) and Fable, so I got this game hoping it would be as challenging and fun. Being an xbox noob, I didn't realize til I got home that "live and reloaded" was an online game. It says on the box 'online enabled'...but I understood that to mean you could play with bigger groups online if you wanted...but that you could also play alone or with a friend with just your xbox offline -- nope -- all the new content is online. I was disappointed to say the least...but, I hadn't played the original game (bad fur day) which is also on the disc, so I thought I'd give it a try. The graphics were ok, but the animations seemed too long at times and you can't skip through it unless you've watched it once. The dialog was lame (corny at best) and the bleeped out cursing seemed gratuitous and unnecessary. I felt I needed to give it a fair try though so I stuck with it for a few levels. The actual game play is easy but frustrating because the game mechanics were clumsy and counter intuitive. You are expected to jump and hover to places/switches that take about 100 tries (you have to trigger the exact key frame) before you can proceed. That quickly becomes very tedious and unfun. I'm guessing it lost something in the translation to xbox from nintendo(?). I can go on and on about the short-comings of this game but I won't bore you, after all this isn't the right place to review bad fur day. I just thought I'd share my disappointment, and hopefully warn someone (like me) who was expecting to be able to play offline.

What a huge dissapointment...

O.k... Bad Fur Day is one of the best games ever made...
I give you that , ... We all are fans of the game , .. that's why this version was so anticipated , ... But we basically got the same thing...
The "LIVE" , game , really , really sucks , ... There's so much going on the screen , that you can't even tell who's who , or what's what... I understand that each character has a name , for online pourpuses , .. But it's really confusing , ...

Buy this game , if you havent played Bad Fur day , ... but if you already played it , ... be warned , that the multiplayer ... it's not that good , ... you'll probably play it , twice before you get bored and move on....

THIS GAME SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Huge Let-Down

This X-Box incarnation of Conker is a Huge let-down. The N64 version is funny - sophomoric.

Why does the X-Box version psuck? Bascially its exactly like watching Pulp Fiction from NBC.

The graphics deliver, but as a game it's like the Church Lady has had her way with it.

My guess is someone at the gaming division of Microsoft tried to get it available for the X-Box and Then their Standards & Practices people went crazy Censoring everything.

The N64 version is actually worth buying an N64 system from eBay for; it's one of the few games actually worth more than it's original sale price... the N64 version that is

blows

the "live" is way to fast paced, its very confusing, nothing like the first multiplayer.

Don't waste your money

This game sucks. All the swearing is bleeped out and it is a platformer not a 3rd person shooter.

A great own unless you had Bad Fur Day on the N64.

**Word of Warning for Parents** - Don't let Conker's cute little noggin fool you, this game is for mature audiences only. Kids need not apply with Conker. There is violence, crazy amounts of profanity, sexual references and violence. If you're under the age of 17, might want to stick with something else!

A drunk fowl mouthed squirrel with problems urinating in public. What's not to like right for XBOX gamers? Well. The stardom this crazy squirrel had with his introduction on the N64 turned some heads for sure. Nintendo lost out to Rare by them going to Microsoft, or did they?

The money Microsoft spent to acquire Rareware seemed like a smart move 3 years ago. Or is it? RememberGrabbed by the Ghoulies? Most heard of it, but it was certainly not one of Rare's memorable games and considering it was their first game on the XBOX, people were ready for Conker. Conker has been delayed countless times and it was certainly a hotly anticipated title. I was expecting the delay to do some marvelous things for the franchise and I wanted Rare to redeem themselves. I personally expected this to be the best XBOX game ever as I am a big Conker junkie as I still played Bad Fur Day on the N64. Suffice to say, I was a bit disappointed when I found out the single player is a remake of "Bad Fur Day" from the N64 with XBOX graphics. While newbies to Conker will love this game, you might want to consider passing it buy if you've played Bad Fur Day.

As stated above, the adventure aspect of the game is a virutal remake of Bad Fur Day with better graphics. Certainly points up for gamers who have not experienced it on the dead N64, but what about the people who have? I played this game already and many others have too. Sure the luscious sweeet graphics are amazing and it's certainly one of the better looking XBOX titles I've seen, but I was wanting more, so I guess that's where the multiplayer comes into play. But back to Bad Fur Day. How about some new levels? Or a new adventure all together? Mind you, I like remakes too, but I didn't wait 3 years to play Conker's Bad Fur day all over again. If you never played the game before, expect naughty language, sexual innuendos, and some of the funniest moments in video game history. This is still one of the funniest games ever produced. Just don't let the cuddly looking characters fool you, this is for mature audiences only.

The multiplayer offers the game a little more replay value, but I personally have not played it enough to give it my honest opinion. If you don't have XBOX Live, you can still play the multiplayer solo or with a friend. The game takes control of the other characters and refers to them as dumbots. I've played a few levels, it's basically every man (well squirrel or Teddy) for himself. The objectives are not very clear, and it's clearly more fun playing on live than with the computer controlled teammates and opponents. I can say with confidence the multiplayer is not a Halo killer, but I know some people are diggin the action when they go online. The game supports 16 simultaneous players at once if you go online.

Rare disappoints me. I didn't want to play Bad Fur Day again. Sure, it's a great title, but it's nearly 5 + years old now and I wanted to play something new. But like I said, if you haven't played it, you're going to love it. But those of you that have played it before might want to look at something else to buy. Conker is a great game, but it's remade. Good for some, bad for many.

Warning to Parents: Intense Violence, Gore, Strong Language and Sexual Content
Conker, the most amazing squirrel comes to the Xbox! This game has super graphics, about 50 times better than the origanal on the N64. This game is very fun where you can use shotguns, Sub-Machine Guns, tanks, and more. The multiplayer is decent. In mutiplayer, it's a bit hard to switch weapons, reload, get in vehicles, and move. The single-player is the only good part of the game. In campaign mode, you have to defeat at least 5 bosses, collect a few million $$$, and do many fun missions. The campaign mode is a PLATFOTMER, not a shooter. If you're buying this game for campaign mode, rent it first. There are many puzzles and humorous spoofs such as the terminator and alien. Overall this is a fun game, but if you're easily grossed out and get bored with games with puzzles, don't buy it. Hope this review was helpful.

Best game ever.

This game is very great but I didnt like the crude humors because it's very gross. The xbox live is very cool and I'm very good at it.I thought this is only about gun-shooting but conker only uses a gun in 2 chapers(spooky and it's war).Conker uses a bat in every levels.
