Hot Dang! This game rocks!

Hoo boy. Where do I even start with Ninja Gaiden? How about the slick, amazing graphics? The fluid gameplay? The brutal difficulty level? The great variety in bosses and levels? How about all the bonus content and replay incentives? Just get this game, okay? And don't whine to me when it kicks your butt - it's hard, but worth it.

Only for the diligent

Ahh...ninja gaiden. I remeber the first time I played this game and died hundreds of times. Even the first level was trying.. I knew I was in for a hard deal. Yet I continued to try and die and try and die. I made it to Alma (probably the hardest boss ut not even half way through the game). Died I don't know how many times and FINALLY beat her. Then I fought the Vigorian Empire soldiers and gave up, traded it for halo two.

Then I heard of the release of Ninja Gaiden Black. I was inspired bu its release to dance woth the devil again. I persevered and beat it on normal ( which is like a cakewalk now). After that I felt unsatisfied and continued on hard, which wasn't much harder. Then I tested myself on Very hard which was hard AS HELL!(remember you can only progress to the next difficulty after you beat the prior). Then lo and behold I accoplished a feat that even only one of the game developers accomplished: I defeated the Master Ninja Level in 20 hours! It took me like 35-40 hours to beat it on normal. My point is that this game is about perseverance and progression. You must be patient. The sheer amount of work tean ninja put into the game is worth the try.. the graphics, the motion capture the gameplay, the depth and amount of moves you can pull off are all something to be studied by other developers. At 20 bucks this is an absolute steal. I look forward to the ps3 release.

i do NOT own this game

This is for the buyer's knowledge!
If the game is not under $15, including shipping, IT IS NOT WORTH IT!
Xbox Live offers this game for 1200 Microsoft points, which is approx. $15!
Save yourself some time any money and buy it from Xbox Live (unless you don't have 5.9gigs)

and no, I'm not a Microsoft rep., it's that I just discovered this myself.
hoped it helped someone :)

(Yes it is Ninja Gaiden Black I am speaking of.)

Rarely do most games impress me but this is great

Its fun once you learn how to play and overall a fantastic action adventure game.

Play the game in Ninja dog (easy) mode first and beat the game then come back and play it normally. Or be a man and take a whipping by playing it on normal the first time through. You will eventually discover what works best on which opponent and the game will be a lot easier on normal mode. Just keep playing.

For me this is the best action game on any platform including the fantastic God of War game for the PS2.

If you have the old one, consider before buying this !

Shortly : whatever features this game might have, you need to finish the whole game AGAIN to unlock them, since this game does not recognize the saved games from the old ninja gaiden.

Whomever gave it 5 stars rated this game like the previous one didn't exist ! From a stand-alone point, this game is probably a little bit better than the previous one, since Ryu has one more weapon and also there are some unlockables if you finish the game on normal.

But you might think twice before buying it, especially if you are a casual gamer and you don't want to play the old ninja gaiden again.

Once more, team ninja is giving the customers a hard time for no reason.

Wholy sh** they heard me complaining!

A dificulty setting!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I did feal like a little girl for wanting an "easy" setting, but then I noticed a lot of people did as well. Now you can enjoy the story that you heard so much about, and not need to spend hours on the game. Even if you were one of the people that could beat the game originaly, there is enough new content to make the small $30 bucks be worth the moo-lah.
New content is available(It's not a completly new game with a new story or anything, just some new stuff added), and just check out that price! Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go clean out my pants.

I beat this game so I'm the coolest person.

To be as cool as I am you must rent or buy this game and complete it on all of the difficulty settings, more than once. If you do all of these things, as I have laid them out for you to do, then you will stand a fair to moderate chance of being as "cool" as me--in the social, not thermostatic sense of the word, of course. Good luck on your expeditions toward a status of more coolness in the eyes of your peers.

Ninja gaiden on steroids! and Barry Bonds claims they dont help much!

Yes the game is tough! but its worth playing it again, simply to see the new enemies, and the old but improved ones.

In this game you basically get all the ninja action you can handle and then some more!

This game reminds me of the old school games like Punch out, and Contra. You have to play near perfect with little mistakes, or else you will pay!

good fun.

This game was created for the hardcore gamer geek, like me. When you learn to master the extremely tight controls, you will realize the unleashing of the highest quality a$$-kicking of any game ever made. This epic title may be the greatest video game ever produced.

Graphics - On XBOX - second to none. The fluid frame rates never stutter. Load times are short, despite the elaborate level designs. Level design is so important in a game and NGB excels with levels that contain incredible variety and top quality & creative designs. The character movements of Ryu Hyabusa and the bosses have to be experienced to be believed. No other video game hero comes close. Cut scenes are also awesome on par with Metal Gear Solid 3 for PS2.

Gameplay - The tightest controls ever. When you die in this game, (and you will die often), it won't be because the controls suck, it will be because you suck. When you defeat the game you will graduate to a whole new level of video game geekdom as all other games will be defenseless against your skills. Half way through the game, as you realize the full potential of a$$-kickery that Ryu Hyabusa can deliver, you are left in awe of the physical prowess of the character and the plethora of weapons of mass destruction at his disposal. For those who have a PS2 and played God of War, you know that game was awesome in it's own right and can be fairly compared to NGB. However, Kratos-GoW's hero, can't hold a candle to Ryu Hyabusa. This game is just so fun and satisfying to play.

Sound - Great ambient and special effects sounds that take full advantage of a good surround sound system with Dolby Digital capability. Musical score is A- Grade, although it is second to God of War's amazing musical score. Cut scenes shine, as well, in this department.

Overall - For those of you who don't fear a challenge and are ready to take on a truly epic title - then you must own and play Ninja Gaiden Black.

overall great game
