Fun for kids and the not so hard core gamers.

We bought this for my 6 y/o daughter to go with the X-Box we bought for Christmas. We have not owned a game system except for a game-boy since the original Nintendo came out. This game has been fun for us all. We all play at the same time, which makes for some family fun. My daughter is able to play some alone without getting too frustrated and does well when we all play. Personally I enjoy the comedic elements that have been well thought out. If you are a hard core gamer you will probably get bored of it quickly. It may not be as challenging as you like. We have gotten over half way through without a cheat book, which is amazing for most games.

Any little Shrek-head should have a good time with this

This is a quaint game geared for the younger set, but brimming with fun, but not too challenging puzzles. You control one of four characters from the movie in your group (Shrek, Princess Fiona, Gingerbread Man, and yes Donkey) and each has a special ability. Other characters join and leave your group as the game progresses (some new friends not even in the movie). You'll need each one's special ability to make it further through the games storyline. It's very gamer friendly (read, fun for kids), and you rarely die, just a 'do over' until you get it right. The camera controls get a bit awkward at times, forcing the player to zoom in to see the action. Also, the more linear environments get cramped and with 3 other characters helping you do battle, it can get confusingly chaotic. The game is spiced with many 'mini-games' (Hero Time) that feature one character that again, should appeal to the younger gamer. The voices are either the actors or dead-on imitations, so the dialog is snappy with plenty of humor presented in the movies. Aside from a few quirky camera controls and crowded fighting and the overall shortness of the game ... any little Shrek-head should have a good time with this.

My husband just bought this for my five year old daughter (preschool graduation gift:)). She hasn't been able to leave it alone. Now, she's a little more advanced in the world of gaming than some her age, and definitely better than me, her mom - so I can't recommend it for every kid - but if your kid is adept at x-box - they should enjoy this one. It doesn't hurt that she loves the movie as well.

Fun and easy enough for Mom!

We bought this game for my boyfriend, my 7 year old son, and I to play together. We had a BALL! I love playing Xbox, but I am really really bad at it. Even I could play this game! I've been searching for a fun and easy family such as Shrek 2 but I'm unable to find one. I highly recommend this game for one player or more...the more the merrier!

A Pretty Good Shrek Game!

Shrek 2 is a much better game than the first one. In Shrek 2, you can play up to four characters at once. You can play as 9 characters total. The game takes events from the movie and makes them longer, and also makes up new stuff. My only complaints are that the graphics are really ametuerish and that when you leave the game, you have to start the level over. Buy Shrek 2, and leave Shrek 1 alone on the shelf.

this game is alot of fun you get to play as a whole lot of
places, explore and beat pepole up. finishing the game is easy
expecially when you play multiplayer.the only parts that are
hard is where you haft to beat the fairygodmother at the
end. some levles you might find boring like the one with the three little pigs. so i would recommend you buy this at a
cheap price!!

Fun For the Family

I am the mother of four. I have three boys ages 2,4 & 6 and a little girl age 3. This game has been fun for all of us. You can play up to four players and the game is fun to watch as well as play. My older boys have had so much fun playing this game for hours and hours. We've won the game countless times and started over again from scratch. The game has many levels and lots of tasks to do. The graphics are great and the challenges are fun. My four year old has a little trouble with some of the harder parts, but my six year old is able to take the lead with ease. Great game for family fun, cheering each other on and playing a game with the familiar faces of characters they love in the movies. *It's a bonus that with each level, the four characters change to make it more interesting.

Hours of Family Fun!

This game (Shrek 2) provides endless hours of fun for your entire family. When I heard that Activision was coming out with a Shrek 2 game, I had some feeling that it would not be all that it was out to be. Well, my opinion changed after I rented Shrek 2 from BlockBuster. When my dad brought me home from the BlockBusters, I walked up to my Xbox room and began to play. "Wow! This game is really good," I said happily. Yes, my opinion changed after playing the game for 10 minutes.

This game is very fun. I even played for 4 hours straight once! I love that you can have up to 4 players; either on teams, or against each other. This was probably my favorite feature because I have a little brother (age 8) who is obsessed with the Shrek series. Before I got this game, I had Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which my brother really hated. Now, he wants to buy the game at GameStop so we can have even more fun with it. I totally agree!

Shrek 2 has violence in it, but not enough to make you not buy this great game. In addition to that, the characters are cartoon, making the violence even less realistic. There are no foul words in Shrek 2 either.

Remember how I said that Shrek 2 provided hours of family fun? Well, I was not lying. Kids (and adults) of any age, will know a bit about the Shrek series. This is why it is so entertaining for people of all ages to watch and play. In Shrek 2, you can play as almost all of the Shrek characters (Shrek, Fiona, Puss in Boots, The Gingerbread Man, etc.) You will also get to play as other characters that were not a big part of the Shrek 2 movie.

What are you waiting for? Get to Wal-Mart and buy this game now!
