Museum Raider - staring Anya Romanov

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 9 / 15

This is a great game with lots of atmosphere. Anya Romanov gives Lara Croft a run for her money (although she may catch up in 'Tomb Raider: Legend'). The animation of Anya, who must be the sexiest video game character out there, is superb. As are her moves, whether she swings from a pole or adjusts he knee high boots while waiting for you to decide on her next move. Also of note is the fact that while she may knock out her opponents, she doesn't kill them. Anya aside, there are other great characters in the game, not least Forge City, the setting of the game. Give STOLEN a go and once you are hooked, help build the game's premier fan site at www.forgecity.com.

Huge disappointment

The premise and the storyline of the game is standard, but the gameplay is annoying to no end. It is impossible to permanently take out any of your opponents. Whether it's a security guard or a surveillance camera, you can only temporarily knock it out. After a couple minutes they wake up and sound an alarm. Tell me, exactly how does a video camera magically fix itself after you zap it out of commission? This makes for extremely frustrating gameplay as you try to figure out what to do and where to go. The enemies always "respawn" but your ammo does not. I enjoy puzzles, but not when you're constantly being bothered by enemies you already took out. This pretty much ruined the entire game for me.
