If you see this on shelves, avoid it at all costs! Treat it like the plague because this is one of the most retchid, pointless, pieces of so-called software to ever hit the market.

I am a big fan of Dragon's Lair games but Readysoft must have been really hurting for money because this is unbelievably pathetic, even as a RIP-OFF! Basically what this 'game' boils down to is a bare-bones version of Dragon's Lair 3D. The 3D graphics from said game have been rendered into low resolution MPEG format that SOMEONE'S already played all the way through. All you do is control the correct outcome of the already played game. The gameplay is reminiscent of the first Dragon's Lair where your moves are based on correct timing. Sure this was limited as far interactivity is concerned, but the Disney Quality animation made up for this. The scenes were also randomly shuffled so you don't have to play the same scene over and over again until you pass it. On Dragon's Lair 3, you don't get Disney Quality animation but rather, badly rendered computer animation. The sequences aren't shuffled and it's nowhere nearly as interactive as Dragon's Lair 3d.

Dragon's Lair 3 is not a sequel to 2. It's a badly done remake of Dragon's Lair 3d that's solely meant to rip you off. You're better of buying DL3D for the same price if not less and at least playing it the way it was meant to be played.

Dragon's Lair 3 is pure rubbish. I wouldn't be surprised if it hasn't been recalled off of shelves yet.

Worst game to be put on the market

I find it unbeleivable that a company can produce software such as this and call it a game. This is the biggest money flush that I have ever spend on gaming software. First of all, I am not sure why it is called a game because there really is no action, or searching or even interactive play with the characters. The way this game works, is like watching a really, really bad cartoon feature (on CD ROM) and all you are supposed to do is press one of the arrow keys while a yellow signal flashed on the screen during a "fight scene" or a "leap off the escarpment". If you press the correct direction, then you go on to the next scene, if not you die over and over again until you hit the right one. Not only is this boring and pointless after 2 min. of play, but the graphics are so bad I have no idea how the software company can get away with putting this on the market. Literally I have seen better graphics on games that I played 10 years ago. The only thing that I can suggest is to not make the same mistake as me and choose anything other than this.
