It was worth the wait.

I love this game. It is nearly as good as its 2d predeccesors, the spirit of the game remaining the same. Also, in response to a previous reviewer who said he didn't like not being able to name your team, I say, You CAN name your team. Just create a new one, and you can name the team and all of its worms. Also, a couple glitches:

1. The jet pack: if you still have some fuel left, and are on the ground, and pick a new weapon, it wont let you use that weapon till all the jet pack fuel is gone. (This can be bypassed by switching to prod then whatever weapon you actually want to use).

2. The homing pigeons: These explosive birdies appear to be mildly retarded. Often, I will throw it, it will reach its target, hover there for 5 seconds, then zoom to the ground and explode.

3. The worms: Sometimes, a worm will randomly stretch its neck off into infinity. It looks really weird.

So, basically, the game rocks, but Team 17 should have taken more time to deglitch it.

I am a huge fan of Worms Armageddon for the PC. I liked GC Worms Blast, played for hours with the wife, but still missed the old concept.

This game is fantastic! Captures the feel and gameplay of the 2D version beautifully. Graphics are amazing, environments are really cool. Solo play consists of 3 venues (Challenges, Missions and Tutorial) with interesting varients with a gazzillion varients and a ton of unlockables. Moreover, solo play is NOT nearly as difficult as with W Blast or PC W Armageddon, which is good.

If you read the EGM review, the reviewers must not have known that the R button holds for 1st person perspective because their reports of undue difficulty aiming are dead wrong. I am a picky reviewer, and this game was beyond my best expectations. GET IT!

Worms 3D is a ton of fun. The best part of the game is you can change your worms' accents. There's French, Italian, British, etc. In the random game, the game is never the same twice. I highly recommend this game for anyone who just likes to have fun.

Most people who had never played one of the worms games would look at this and say "That look cheesy", or something on the order of that, but people who have played it before and or bought it by some odd chance, know that it is very fun, addictive and one of the best multi-player there is. If you've ever played any of the previous games, that's pretty much how it goes, a turn based blow up the enemy with whatever crazy weapons you have. A ton of things have been takin' from the older worms games, like the holy hand grenade, banana bomb, old lady, super sheep, air strike, uzi, mad cow, nuclear test, earthquake, etc, and everyone's favorite (Drum roll) The Concrete Donkey!!! The one thing about the Concrete Donkey is that you can't say you random number of your choice for a game, you have to play a certain level to unlock it, then it will randomly appear in a weonpons crate (But it is there if you want to know). The game play is very addictive, leaving you wanting to play more and more, whether it be single player campaigns, challenges to unlock weapons, or multi-player with a friend or you vs. AI. The single player missions can be hard sometimes, but I've had it for just over a week and I'm on the last one. You also want to try and get gold medals on levels in single player, because you can then use them in multi-player. Basically a great game, just like the old 2D ones only 3D (Duh), and go buy it or rent it, you'll love it!!!

I have seen the Worms titles across all older and newer platforms. The series got old and looked lame after awhile but it's new now. The game has good looking graphics and the first person shooter look actually looks grabbing. The worlds look great and alive and from previews this could be a great. The game has Timesplitters 2 graphics so it will probaly run at high frame rates per second which is awsome. I play games like Resident Evil and Halo and im still giving this game credit. Try it out it will probaly be worth it.

It's worms, i have played this game since i can walk, now it's goind 3-d even better, THis game is for the action-fan. It has no story, but worms it's no about the story, it's about battle with big guns, mass destruction weapon (such as hellraider and NUKE). Get this game if you'r a WORMS FAN

Worms 3D is awsome i love pitting those li'l fiesty invertabrates against each other with an arsinal of weapons and gagets, GOD THIS GAME IS AWSOME it's full of three dementional and totaly destructable yes folks destructable landscapes. this game is toatally fun and adictive, and the multiplayer has got to be the funnest part of the whole game you can choose the place you want to battle and not to mention that you can custumize the levles to your hearts dezire and you can also choose the time of day. And theres lots of new awsome weapons sutch as: Holly handgranade homing pidgeion fire punch and nukealer test plus tons of other weapons that are some of the reasons that make this game soooo frickin awsome. but there are a few minor glitches that kinda slow the game down a bit like the fact that if you play too long the sound starts to go out and you have to restart your system to fix the problem, but i digress this game is awsome and if you dont have it yet then your missin out on some serious chaotic fun.

Honestly, a great game.

Worms 3D is a great game. Ok im not going to shout or lie about the game being perfect cuz its not but i am going to give you an honest review. This game far surpasses my expectations and for 30 bucks i could not have asked for more. Ive been a die hard worms fan since i was 3 and i must say 3d keeps the spirit alive.

Graphics: (8/10) The graphics are not phenominal but they are good. the colors and landscapes are rich and the polygon texturing is not too bad either. But really, who gives a C**P about graphics? dont be a grpahics freak.

Sound: (9/10) The sounds are good to say the least. What really had me on the floor laughing was the voices. You can pick from man man many many voice schemes and they all say differnt hillarious things. Ive logged almost 50 hours into this game an i have barley heard a 10th of the sayings.

Music: (7/10) Eh....

Gameplay: (10/10) I know you must think im crazy but really the gameplay here is, in my opinion, nearly perfect! Although ther are a few minor glitches, the controls are packed with just the right amount of sensitivity and the moving of your lil freeky crawler is almost flawless. also aiming is a sheer joy. its so simple yet you feel so rewarded when you gauged that wind just right and hit your enemy off a cliff. EGMs dead wrong about aiming being hard.

Replay: (9.5/10) what can is say, it the best friggin multiplay party game on the GCN!

Total (not an average): (9/10)

Sidenote 1: Although some complained about the sharing of one controller, i think it adds some fun gamplay tricks that can make a world of differnce in a very very close match... wink wink

sidenote 2: WTF YOU CAN NAME YOUR OWN TEAM! just select you team name on the team create screen and then select the name on the window that pops up and name away.

BOTTEM LINE: please if you want hours of good clean fun buy this game.

This game is great over like 20 diffrent ways to attack you opponont and you don't have to get bored by all the same levels since you can describe how you want your level to be for example:lot of water, big,didstance from water,time of day,if you want objects,etc.i even bought this game because it was so good you can even make your own team of worms and choose a a special to finish off other worms. this game is the first 3d worms and it was a succsess

I had this game (sold it) it was fun and had lots of landscaps and guns to choose from but it had cons that over waighed the pros. The wepons were childish and the 3D crap I like it 2D more. My addvice, well you can do two things to see if you want this game or any other games in the Worms seires. You couild get you hands on a copy (rent play at a friends) or you could do it the free way. This is not the same game as worms but Pocket Tanks is an downloadable game that is simalar (just a lot more seirous) if you like it be want more humor this is your game. If you like the seirous feel buy the full virsion of Packet Tanks or paly the virsion with less wepons you deside. There are also more seirous games then worms like Pocket Tanks out there if you like that buy on of these ones.

Here are the instrutions for Downloading Pocket Tanks: Go to Google and type in Download Pocket Tanks there will be lots of web sites pick one that looks safe (there is even one where you can download Pocket Tanks and Super DX Ball) (I recomend you downlaod both there cool and they can be downloaded on any computer even Mac but you might have to go to a different site) (Also if you have a Win 95 Pc cheack but I think it would not work!)
