NES : Metal Gear Cheats
Below are the cheats, hints, and tips that Game Gas knows about for Metal Gear. On the right are
websites that may have additional cheat codes, hints, or tips for Metal Gear.
Restore items:
If an item is missing from the room it is supposed to be in, use the radio to call Jessica (code YO J YO J) and request access to the room. This may cause the item to appear again.
Disable pits:
Press Select, A to display the transceiver screen when a pit opens. Press Select again to resume game play. The pit will now be closed.
Disable Super computer timer:
Move up towards the top in room with the flashing floor before the computer room. As soon as the next room is entered, move right and exit downwards. If done correctly, you should enter the room with the final Boss, but without the super computer timer.
Upper maze solution:
Move lower left, lower left, up, lower left.
All weapons and items:
Enter 21Z1C GZZZG UOOOU UYRZZ NTOZ3 as a password. Alternately, enter 5XZ1C GZZZG UOOOU UYRZZ NTOZ3 as a password.
Lower maze solution:
Move left, left, upper left, left.
Reset Countdown timer:
Use the cigarettes at the end of the game, when your character is trying to escape. The countdown timer will reset after the cigarettes have been smoked.

Enter WZRJZ QZZZD UJ510 UIQZZ NZRZE as a password.
