The Coolest and Greatest game I ever laid hands and eyes on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the game would be like the other three games, but it's diffrent and cool! So what if you can't get the beans? Use that other readers advise. Use Accio on them. I tried that and it worked great before he or she put their review on.

Sure the game is different than the other three, but why would anyone think that the game sucked? Anyone who isn't afraid of trying something new can try this game (if they played the first three:-). I think this game is a great way to try something new. Don't be afraid to try and don't get frustrated when you lose.

I lost a lot but that didn't stop me from trashing it. I just kept on going until I passed the level. And when I unlock the third task, I keep on going until I had all Triwizard Shiels, and mastered all of the charms and jinxes; then I move on to the third task and then onto (gulp) Voldemort (makes a terrified and shaky look).

In other words, THE GAME RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's Wrong???

Ok, This Harry Potter Game Is WAYY Different Then The Other Games. The Controls Are Horrible And You Can't Even Point A Spell In The Right Direction. I Mean I Just Got The Game On Christmas Eve and I Jumped Right On The Computer To Play It.Oh My Gosh I Was SO Suprized. I Didn't Like It That Much. The Game Is Weird. You Don't Talk To Anyone At All And You Never Push Buttons To Open Doors Or Battle People To Get Father Into The Game. Ok For Example, If You Have TO Battle A Big Boss And It's Hard To Beat Him , All You Have To Do It Walk Through The Door. And In The Other Games Maybe Only One Character Knew How To Do A Certain Spell But In This Game Everyone Knows How To Do Every Spell. Which Brings Me To Another Point. In This Game You Can Switch Players. You Have To Stick Which That Same One For The Whole Level. And If You Die You Die. You Can't Switch Players Right Before You Die. Sry For Writing So Much.{:}

I really like this this game!!!!! The graphics are amazing! Harry,Ron and Hermione look so realistic! You even get to choose who you want to be.The tasks and magic are fun to learn and conquer. I enjoyed every aspect of this game! The only unfortunate part is you can't use the mouse. Fortunately this is only a small obstacle and I got used to it quickly. You have to be stubborn or picky to not like this game. FYI: I am a kid who is impatient and I get bored easily yet I ejoyed this game! So buy it! If not for yourself for your little Harry Potter fan.

Horribly Disappointing...

If you've enjoyed any or all of the previous three Harry Potter games, and you're thinking about buying this one, pick your favorite of the three, and play it again. Do NOT waste your money on this game.

The screenshots were excellent, which really suckered me into buying it. The graphics were in fact quite good, probably the only redeeming aspect of the game. The exploration, my favorite part of the other games, was virtually nonexistant in this one. The controls were NOT CUSTOMIZABLE IN ANY WAY (welcome back to 1995), and making a character move straight was like bowling a strike while drunk. In the previous three, the music was great and fitting, the storyline interesting and similar to the book, and the objectives were clear and simple, while still challenging. In the Goblet of Fire, the music was unnoticable most of the time, while being almost inappropriate at others. The storyline was boring and had little to do with the book or movie at most points. The objectives were never clear, and after beating a level I was left thinking "what the hell did I just do to beat that level?"

To sum it up in a sentance, I've never played a game so awful that I uninstalled it after playing it once.

HP4: Now we're talking

The arcade style action and the new creatures all show that this is the best title so far in the HP computer game series. The spell controls are easy to manage and the graphics top HP3 by a longshot. The only complaints I have is that you can't really let go of Bubotubers and controlling your character is sort of difficult. Magcus Extremos is a cool feature that I'm happy EA put in and the game follows the movie and the book very well (Can you believe they have a level for the bathroom????). This actually should get 6 out of five stars. So fun and sooooo addicting.

Beware

This is an awesome game but, its controls are terible! I am giving you a warning if you like your character walking in reverse as you point it forward or other stuff like this buy this game. If you dont, dont buy this game!!!!!! Otherwise, it's awesome!!!!

Got the game for Christmas and thought it was alright but not as fun or interesting as HP 1, 2 and 3. Like to explore and like to jump and use the mouse to look around, etc. Goblet simply not like the others, but is ok. Mom upgraded XP pro to a service pack and BOOM.....suddenly no more controls.....can't make characters do ANYTHING right. Controls are very slow and random now, just like some of the other reviews....character will run left instead of right and forward instead of back and then will stumble along and will not move fast and then will suddenly move all over by himself ... after I have removed my hands from the keyboard!!! Very weird and unplayable now.
Mom says might be an xp issue thing but all I know is now I can't play it at all and before, when I could, it wasn't as much fun. Bring back the old style, pleeeeze. In meantime, Mom is going to install older version of XP on different machine and we will give it another try.

The WORST game I ever wasted money on!

I wish there was a ZERO in the fun/overall ratings choices, because I would have given it a zero in both categories. It was a total waste of my money.

I got it because I liked the other Harry Potter games so much ... MISTAKE. It is NOTHING like the other Harry Potter games. I should have read the many BAD reviews of this game first!

This game is entirely linear - you cannot go wandering around the grounds and explore, as in the other Harry Potter EA games. The characters do not interact well, in fact when the three characters are supposed to be casing a spell together the other characters are often otherwise occupied. Their tasks are obscure and not well defined.

This game was not made for a PC. Further it was not made for anyone who is casually gaming, or in it for the fun of exploring the Harry Potter world. The game 'mood' (environment) is dark and unpleasant. The only good thing I can say about the game is that the graphics are well done.

An actual review.

I bought this knowing full well it would be dissapointing. (Part of this complete collection, right?) Okey, here's the good, the bad, & the ugly. I reccomend sticking to the 1st 2 games.

Good: Eyecandy (colors, textures, graphics, sound, backgrounds, movement, character designs, special effects). The console co-ordination is VERY easy to learn & the spells are easy to remember. If you SUCK at games, you can get through this game without cheating, but if you're THAT terrible, MegaGames has the only complete Trainer. No overly obvious glitches found in the first few games (those were just horrible)

Bad: If you DON'T suck at games it'll take you a few hours to zoom thought this game, stress-free & with little effort. Levels are rushed & too short. No cheats = no debug = no exploring. This game will actually miss the old days of crappy polygons, because it's obvious that all the effort went into said eyecandy & not gameplay or script. The options menu is abismal; you can't save, only auto save, you can't adjust control keys, & you can't adjust the gamma.

Ugly: On a brand new compy with XP, this game might crash at the begining or end of every level every single time. EA's support page won't open & causes the computer to freeze. EA's registration will tell you that you're not registered & when you try to reregister it will tell you that your email & user name are in use. This is probably just an XP-EA site incomatibility error.

terribly dissatisfied
