Wow this game rocks!!! Best Hp game nice graphics co-op mode and the spells and characters are incredible. The camara and controls are very easy to get used to and it's length is perfect. Control options are in GOF folder

I could not get the controls to work well, I couldnt move harry, ron, and hermione at all. I couldnt cast spells where I intended...supposedly the game is better with a gamepad, but I'm a casual gamer and not going to purchase one. I loved the first three; I'm very disappointed with this one.

This is the best Harry Potter game this year!!!

Why do people think this game is dull? This is the greatest game in the world!! Sure it has a lot of new features but I mastered the game 15 times already. As for the bean pick up, use Accio on them.

This game is great! It is the best yet! The graphics are great and the gameplay is superb. The charms let you do amazing things and the jinxes have fabulous effects. When I saw the reviews, I wasn't sure about buying it. I decided to take the risk and it was really worth it. I love playing this game and if you are wise, you'll buy it too.

People! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GAME ON PC!!!! I bought this game today, and it SUCKS!! I LOVED the last 3. They kept getting better and better, but NOW, OH NOW THIS GAME SUCKS SO BAD. I have no idea what EA was thinking. No wonder it was only $25 at Walmart for a BRAND-NEW game, it's a piece of crap! Next time I'll check the reviews before I buy another EA game. I'll say it again: THINK 10 TIMES BEFORE BUYING!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

I LOVED the first four (SS, CoS, TPoA, and QWC) games.
The first one was a little too easy (I beat it in three days after some practice), the second one being a bit too hard (I have a fear of fire snails), the Third one and Quiddich World Cup being perfect.

When I bought the first game I was expecting another GREAT game. But here is what I got: graphics that were grainy, NO exploring, and no fun trunks with goodies. it was a HARD game, and i'm still stuck on the second task. I can't believe I decided to buy PetVet later because I wanted this. Here's hoping you can explore in the fifth one.

From the persective of someone who does not own this videogame but read all the reviews, I must say that the game looks unfavorable, despite the promise of the first three Harry Potter games. However, I have observed that most of the reviewers are disappointed about not being able to enjoy the "classic, beautiful, enjoyable, sweet, puzzle-style games" and complain about not exploring the castle. Well, this makes me want to ask these people if they have read this book!

Harry has now been at Hogwarts four years and since he knows every secret passageway in the castle, he's bored with exploring because he has a map which tells him where everyone is and where all the secrets are. This means that if the producers were looking to mimic the actual life of Harry Potter in this book he would not be doing a lot of exploring, especially since he has quite enough on his plate when preparing for the Tri-Wizard Tournament.

These reviewers complain about Mad-Eye Moody's Challenges which requires the players to jinx everything in sight. Well, again, if the producers were trying to mimic Moody's character, he is described as capable of jumping out of bed and jinxing everything he could reach out of his window, therefore, he would be teaching his students the one technique he still felt was effective.

As to the controls, I agree that they are probably not what we have become used to in the previous Harry Potter games. Maybe the producers were trying to keep the challenge level up so that players would feel as though they are working as hard as Harry is. I do agree that there should be control configuration to allow every player his/her preference and am disappointed to hear that there is no such option.

Finally, the reviewers complain about the game being less fun than the previous ones. Again, Harry does not have much time for fun this year! He's feeling pains in his scar, people think he's a freak and showoff (which in school, a showoff is worse than a freak), he watches a fellow student die, was entered into a competition against his permission, must deal with countless challenges on all playing fields, and he and his best friend are fighting (which makes him feel abandoned)! This is not a fun year! Harry does not have time for fun!

If the producers were attempting to recreate this book for video game players, and they had this in mind when they made this game, then I would say they accomplished their goal. Therefore, it is entirely up to you whether you want to buy this game and deal with the challenges.

This was the best Harry Potter game ever. Here was where the four stars came in, you couldn't move Harry wherever you want him to go.If you press"left" he goes north!!!The direction always changes(north = east).I don't really care about Magicus Extremos or the Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans. But I do care about Pumpkin Pasties and Cauldron Cakes. They revive your health. The Magicus Extremos did absoulutely nothing!NOTHING!I like the enormous spell casting and triwizard tournaments.!
