The puzzles can be a little tough for those new to this type of genre. If you've played Tomb raider and like it, you'll love this game! Gameplay, story line and art are all top notch!

Let me lay it down for you right now. This is the best game that I've seen for the playstation console. Yes, I admit it has it's faults, clipping and such, but even the power-house mainstream titles put out by giants have flaws. You will be hard pressed to find a more pleasing environment to explore, and character movement, depth and story line are phenominal. The intro movie had me restarting the game 4 or 5 times every time I played. The ending may be a little dis-heartening, but didn't we all want a sequel anyway?

This game is really fun. life doesnt get much better than this. the enemys all kind of resemble each other, but if that angers you, you can impale them on spikes and spears.
Soul reaver also has a great story. Raziel was created by Kian, but raziel evolved infront of Kain, so Kian cast him into the pool of the dead. Now you get to take revenge on kian and your brethern. The puzzles are a little complex, but Soul Reaver devinitly gives you more bang 4 your buck.

I had alot of fun playing this game.It had such a great and interesting storyline. I woul reccomend this game to anyone that likes action, adventure, and blood thirsty vampires.

I am a huge vampire fan and I saw this game and had to have it. So I got it, not expecting too much, when I had just bought the best playstation game ever. THIS GAME WILL OWN YOU! I recommend it to anyone except for little kids. (A bit bloody)

If you like roleplay games you'll like Soulreaver. This is not a game a friend will come over and be able to play. However call him up anyway because you'll need some one to read the hint guide while you play. (Honest, don't play the game with out one.) Good enemies, good weapons, good story, just not for every one.

Hardcore gamer... this tops them all in my book.

I'm a serious player of a variety of Vampire games, online and offline. But, when I got my claws on this game, I was TOTALLY amazed. The graphics were incredible, the FMV's were marvelous and the moves, just sweeter than sweet. Even though I haven't had the pleasure of playing Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain yet, I highly recommend this game be played MORE than once(but of course, have that guide closeby, there are some seriously tricky parts in your journey)! Crystal Dinamics and Edios, I salute you! :)

Engrossing Game

From the time I started playing I couldn't peel myself away. The 3-D graphics are fantastic. You get to shift between the material and spectral planes, impale and burn alive evil creatures and inhale their souls.

I never played the original so I can't compare it to that, but I think it's better than Castlevania "Symphony of the Night" another game with a vampire as hero.

I am stuck right now, but I plan to buy a Game Shark next week.
