If you like 1st person shooters...

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 2 / 2

...then you'll love this game. It's better than the first. More interaction with characters was added, and a great atmosphere (especially the last level in North Africa)! A must have for even the casual gamer.

Totally brilliant

This is far and away the best 1st person shooter I've ever seen. The graphics are outstanding, and the detail is remarkable; I mean down to variations in power and accuracy among different weapons, hit effects, sounds, lazy guards smoking cigarettes, the satisfying clang of a headshot on a guy wearing a helmet, shell casings hitting the ground, etc.

The bonus levels are insanely difficult and really a little absurd (I haven't finished them but I expect a werewolf to pop up somewhere), but the rest of the game (apart from a few technical glitches noted elsewhere) is phenomenal.

Remember when we thought Space Invaders was as good as it got?

Finally, a WWII game that tells the real story

In the sequel to Medal of Honor you take on the identity of Manon, a member of the OSS. Germans have invaded her country of France, and her leaders have been forced to surrender. What's worse is that some are now collaborating with the enemy. Your job is to join the resistance and drive the enemy out of your country before it is too late. The graphics of the game are crisp, and for the most part smooth. In the sequel enemies react to you and take cover behind whatever's close by, whether it be a barricade, or a simple corner. This greatly adds to the enjoyment of the game. Also, the German's fight with tanks, half-tanks and motorcycle's which accounts for exciting combat. Throughout the game, afer you have completed each of your seven missions, there are accurate videos that provide you with interesting facts about WWII. These videos provide you with vital knowledge about the war and the people involved, something to think about while playing the game. I have owned this game for close to six months now and still have not gotten bored with it. With 12 authentic WWII weapons, 24 levels , and an awesome mode of head-to-head multiplayer combat, this should be a sure item to add to your collection.

Best First Person Shooter for the PSX Out There!

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 2 / 2

I remember how hard it was to find a GOOD first person shooter for the PSX (of course, the PS2 has tons of them) and finally comming upon this one. I was impressed immediately. The graphics were well done and the AI, while eventually becomming slightly predictable, was reasonable and well designed. The levels are intricate, but generally linear. I would have liked to be able to open more doors other than the absolutely necessary ones.

The storyline is intricate, taking you through almost every stage of WWII up to and including the Liberation of France and the fall of Hitler. Complete with about a half hour (estimated) of real WWII footage, the mission briefings come to life like never before. The weapons are all real WWII weapons; everything from the Panzerfaust, to the Stick Handgrenade, to the SMG 40.

The reason it is at a four star rating and not a five is because of several bugs throughout the game. Many missions can be completed cheaply by tricking the AI through walls (or sometimes even shooting through walls) or hiding behind other guards. Another VERY annoying problem is that your character gets stuck on walls. It is impossible to slide along the side of a wall without getting jerked around. All in all however, a very well designed game; best FPS for the PSX.

Great game! I love it!

While the graphics leave a little more room for improvement, the actual game is great. Real guns, believable missions, and damage, a true old war person would love this game. Although the last bonus level is a little on the lame side, but that doesn't hardly dent the shiny finish on the game. Sound is also great. Sets the right moods for every part. Voices are good too. This is a great game, plain, pure, and simple.

The sequel to the original Medal of Honor delivers in almost every respect. Intuitive gameplay, great graphics and cunning AI. I can't recommend this game any more.

WW2 at its best

The sequal to MOH MOH2 Underground is almost better than the first, the story line is diffrent in that it is the beginning of WW2 this time not the end. You are Manon from the first who is working for the French resistance. You go around sabatoging everything and killing alot of Nazis! I haven't beaten it yey , because it is harder than its predecessor and longer too i might add. I would reccommend this to anyone WW2 fans, First person shooter fans, or somebody who likes a good challenge.

Great game

This game is great. I didn't like the default controller the game choose for me but once I found one I liked I was off and playing for hours. The music is great, the game play is great and the storyline is interesting and believable. Except the last couple of levels where the programmers clearly wanted to just have fun and made some absurd circumstances (like the mutant walking dogs). But it's lots of fun nonetheless.

Mission Accomplished

Great game but I still like the original better. There are some new levels of play and others seem like they just changed the skins on the original. Over all I recommend it, especially if you're a big MOH fan. It gets a little creepy with some sort of wolf men which is were you may stat to loose interest because it takes away from the real historical parts of the story and gives it a cheesy ending
