I like this game!

I like this game! I like that you can get a job at the farmers shop and i think that its cool that you have to earn the horse and dog. Its kind of hard to find your way around the town at first, but after awhile you get used to it. I like this game as much as Harvest moon:A wonderfull life for game cube.

Another Classic

Natsume busts out with this Harvest Moon game for the PS2, but it was a bit of a disappointment. It was very fun yes, but you never get married in it, and you only have one year to beat the game. It has many different endings and a huge environment. Must have for any Harvest Moon gamers.

i first got into harvest moon when looking any vampire snes games for my emulator and saw the title harvest moon, now in vampire mind met i thought something compleatly differnt. it turned out to be one of the dumest games i ever played but chould not stop. it became a lot of fun for me. the back to natuer added 1000% more fun, more real, able to make sprites do slave work, and the girls to woo are interasting. and then the 2 after save the home land, wonderfull life as i much prefer the ps 2 version added realism to it very compleax, and magical melody is just pure fun. out of all 5 this is the only one i refuse to own and i will tell you why

1. only have a year to save the stupied town.
2. have to repeat the same year over and over again to unlock every thing.
3. cant really wu the girls
4. no point to farm actualy farming is almost pointless in the game except for extra money, you can actualy just get by with chickens.

the title explains it you save the home land, or it will turn into a theam park and you lose. you have 1 year to get one of the 15 endings it is not that hard just do what you do to wu a girl in the others and you already unlocked a few endings already. the only thing i think was a interasting featuer is sell your goods to the stores your self instead of dumping into a bin and get paied the next day. just get rid of the middle guy and deliver it your self.. something that could have stayed in the futer games. other then that it is a compleat dump out of the harvestmoon games, maybe if i was not expecting more out of it and it was titled something else that was not harvst moon it would have been better for me..

but it is not a compleat wast just a dissapointment there are a few good things
1. some of the endings are nice and does have a good story plot
2. when u start the year over again all ur updates, crops, money, and enhancements stay so if u had the best watering can well you keep it all 15 times u start over again...but downside people do not know you so you have to reintroduce your self again and again and again.. gets anoying cause of no skip

It's a good game... really

Graphic fair.. Game good..Interaction between charaters good. Interesting adventures and the mulitple endings is a challengen. Major issue controlers inteaction with game. Difficult to get cows to move directionally, also to get direction right in watering crops.Dark when rainy and somewhat difficult to see..To short of a day and hard to get everything accomplished in the time frame. Overall a nice game..

well what can i say?

once again ps2 has fallin short of its once knowen glory...
this game is slow going, in the fact there isnt much too do if at all.. the chickens die for no good reason , you cant cook too save your life!
you work a part time just for pennys! was this a real life story of some poor farmer?? i dont get what much of the idems are used for?? and too think i loved harvest moon on gamecube, gamecube is way cooler and most fun when it comes too this game title! so be warned of that now. dont let another 30.oo slip threw your hands the way it did mine :((

This game sux!

I have all the HM games, and get them as they come out. I know every cheat, storyline, and strategy there is to A Wonderful Life. But this thing Natsume has created is a horrible insult to the series and its players alike! It is boring and doesn't have that "Wow, I could play this forever!" flair to it like the others. HM lovers avoid this, for it will soil your collection of RP games. As for those who are new to HM, don't get this, get Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. It's the best one!

Great Game, Bad Plot

Harvest Moon Save the Homeland, was in my opinion the worst Harvest Moon game. First off, no family. It'll just be you. You can't get married, and you have no dog! There is a stray dog however, and it takes a while for it to adapt to you and start being your friend. Also a thumbs down is there is no festivals! How can you play a Harvest Moon like that! Festivals in 64, Back to Nature.. they were the best. Save the Homeland just doesn't have the charm the others had. However, the Graphics are the best! It is more a game for people who don't play often or littler kids. The game plot is OK, however years.. and seasons.. are a little messed up. Saving the homeland takes a pretty long time if you dont play every week or so.. and I just don't have the time, so.. if you want to buy this game.. prepare. It could be different than what you think.

Not as good as other Moons.

Harvest Moon:Save the Homeland is a dissapointment. You can't raise a family like you used to. You don't even get a dog(at first at least). It is also so boring and the controls suck!!!!! It doesn't have the freshness of Harvest Moon 64. If you are a Harvest Moon fan, take my edvice and get Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life instead.

Great Game for Children

I am a mom and played this game for hours. I have not played the other harvest moon's but am looking forward to it. I think all children should play this game, it shows them responsibilty, on owning a pet, working and making money either for buying or selling. This game is a great roleplaying game. I am really looking forward to playing back to nature, which offers much more. This game is reality (how life really is when you have to work for things), but in a childrens form. BUY IT!
