Where do i start? Its not really fair of capcom to put this game with the demo of devil may cry, cuz dmc is so much better. RECVX is by no means a fun game you can sit down and play for hours of smiling enjoyment like i had with other RE titles. It is very frustrating and i found myself playing it only 30 minutes to an hour at a time. It is very fulfilling though when you accomplish something in the game and you will be very pleased when you finish the game. The graphics are not that impressive, some even say the ones on dreamcast were better, not that it matters, now that dreamcast is dead. Ammo was very scarce in RECVX, more so than other RE games, it took strategy to decide what weapon to use and which enemies to kill. It was a good game though and if you like Resident Evil games you should buy this game, because it is a decent game with a good plot (which Nemesis greatly lacked). If you have it on dreamcast and you still play it, dont bother buying it because it is virtually the same. Silent Hill 2 will be great

RE fans rejoice. Capcom has finally brought it's franchise to PS2. People who haven't really played the RE are missing out on one of the greatest games ever made. Luckily if you are one of those people who has just a PS2, go out and buy it!
Although Code Veronica:X offers slick, cleaner graphics, people who have already played the Dreamcast version will find nothing really new here. CVX offers about 10-5 minutes of deleted cinematics (and that's about it). The control scheme is a little frustrating in some areas. And I'm actually getting tired of killing just zombies and 'creatures of the night'. But then again, there is always Devil May Cry.
Pros: Almost an exact port of the Dreamcast version.
Cons: Almost an exact port of the Dreamcast version.

If you've never played a RE game before, buy this game. You'll be scared out of your mind. The graphics are hauntingly real, and the gameplay is very smooth. It's like being in a horror movie.
On the other hand, if you've played previous RE games, this one might not seem so great. It's definitely the best one of the series, but it's still the same kind of game: run away from zombies, conserve ammo, find better guns, and follow an expanding plot that finally leads you to a giant underground base or something. If you've gone through an RE game before, then you just won't be as scared by this one; and being scared is what the RE games are all about.

I am not very impressed with the graphics, they should have took some of that graphic ability they used on the cinemax clips threw out the game. Which are really cool to daze apon. The camera angles, uhm, why is it when your looking at the screen with your gameing charecter, you see your charecter looking at you, when she should be looking at the monsters you can't see, eating at you, when there, where? Infront of you, terrible camera angles! I give it 3 stars, cause atlease it scared my wife, and thats all ways fun..

Not the best resident evil, but a darn good one. You may have thought that it lost it's great gameplay on PS2 in exchange for graphics but thats not the case at all. Its also probably the longest RE out there. If they fix the ammo scavenging problem it will rule the horror game industry. (o wait, it already does)

At long last it has arrived. Being a long time fan of the Resident Evil series, save for the awfull "Gun Survivor" game, I was overjoyed to finally have a chance to play Resident Evil: Code Veronica X. What is most impresive about this game is the hightend graphics the PS2 grants the game, not to mention a few new added scenes. The game features more grotesque and shocking scenes of horror then any of the other games managed, especially when you visit the Doctor's office(don't wan't to reveal to much). Featuring the same game play as the other Resident Evil games nothing has really changed control wise, yet now you can use the lock pick for things other then doors. The sound is excellent creating an atmosphere that would make anyone think there right in the middle of a George Romero film. The only fault I have with this masterpiece is that the english voices on some the characters can truely grate on your nerves. Other then that the puzzels in this installment have a much high relevance to the story. Overall for anyone wanting an atmospheric, creepy, story powered, and ulitmatly macabre game then Resident Evil: Code Veronica X is the game that will have you drolling until Silent Hill 2 comes out. Warning this game contains scenes of explictly perverse graphic violence, gore, some language and thematic elements(involving sadism and othe rasult oriented subjects). This game is ment strickly for an audience that is 17 or older.

I looked foreward to trying this game. I was dissappointed in the game control. Maybe I just need to play it more, but my first impresson is slow. Claire is slow, almost walloing in mud. I wish i would have rented it first. The demo disc Devil May Cry that came with, Well if the game is like the demo, all I can say is awesome.

the scariest game since the last

Great, but not perfect.

I have personally been a fan of all Resident Evils ever made. Unfortunately, Resident Evil 3 was a bit lacking in gameplay and depth. Resident Code: Veronica X is the opposite.

Good graphics, solid story and gameplay, and aDevil May Cry demo say it all. As with all other games in this series, it is a bit slow, but you can expect that in all Survival Horror games.
