*~Tekken Tag Tournament~*

After reading the other reviews you kinda know the game, but I'll say some other details about the game. With the simple press of R1 you can change to your tag partner and the previous character can heal slowly. You can still do team battles and single if tag is not prefered and new characters help as well. Even though Gon and others disappeared there is Kuminitsu(not correct spelling)and a secrect character who you battle last in story mode who copys other peoples moves in the game. Even through the game it allows you to unlock secret characters like Tiger(Eddy's supposed father)and a sumo wrestler and even Kumitsu(my favorite person because she's a wanna-be cat. :) Many other cool things I love too.Don't read on if you wouldn't like to hear the cool things to unlock. First you pick a character and another for tag with the few you start with and battle to match 8 with Unknown and beat her. You will get one of your peoples videos and will be able to watch everybodys as you unlock it through the game. You may watch them in thearter mode.I personally love Kuma's(Heiachi's Bear). Also if you select your charcters with different buttons like O,X,Square or the triangle you can get different clothes like with Kumitsu you get a purple spandex outfit with a devil mask just by pressing R1 or select. You need to beat the game with different costumes for the same costume to be in the video. So you can see you favorite outfit in the video and not just the one you beat it with. Also you get to go BOWLING!The option is called tekken bowl. You get it after beating(I think)the game 12-14 times with different people. You can bowl like a real bowling game. The best bowlers(for me) are Anna Williams and Kumitsu.Anna in first slot always and Kumitsu to finish her run if she messes up.Notice the Hiachi pins that are gold plated, and the bowling ball is really a disco ball.I also recomend getting a PS2 memorie card so you may save data. Also there is pratice mode where you can pratice with a still person or animal/person so you can pratice your power moves. Also note the improved graphics compared to tekken 3.Tekken 4 is also a great game, but no Kumitsu so it's a real bummer. But the make a huge come back with the even more improved graphics and clothes+ a few cool charaters. But in tekken 4 Jin isn't that good anymore.Any tekken fan has to atleast try this once because it's one to remember.E-mail me at erinkittycat@yahoo.com if you would like any info on tekken tag.

Thanks for reading and just so you know, Amazon has the best price for tekken that I have ever seen so you should try to get it here.

The entire Tekken Universe in one game

This game brought together the characters from earlier games, some characters returned after disappearing. Kunimitsu even makes her appearance, while the game is simple, it still was fun, the tag team feature was a good feature. Every possible character from Tekken 1-3 appears with one new, her name is Unknown. The game itself beared very little challenge, the Tekken Bowl was the only feature of the game I hated. You choose your character and depending on whom you chose, your difficulty either increased or decreased, basically it is just bowling but its timing and patience. The worst character of the game had to be Dr. Bosconovitch, whom kept falling down and was hard to hit. The ending movies were brief but some were funny and some weren't worth it. In the end this game would get a full 5 stars but due to the simplicity, it doesnt need it. The one character I know has been used in every game so far is Yoshimitsu, who even appeared in Soul Calibur 1-3 and I think 4 and Soul Blade. Anyway buy this game if you like a good martial arts game that's simple, but brings a good variety of characters. Ogre and True Ogre are some of the best, Unknown is a doppleganger so her moves differ, but she has the best ending of all.

My opinion on Tekken Tag Tournament

Simply, Tekken Tag Tournament is the best game so far for the Playstation 2. I've played it a million times. Sure some people say it's just like Tekken 3, 2 words.... It's NOT. With returning characters from Tekken 2 and Tekken 3, I think game will go to the top!

This game kick butt. My friend bought an imported ps2. The game runs so smoothly and with super awesome graphy. The most amazing thing is that the tag team option, you can fight with friend together against pc. You definitly need to try this game.

A Best Of Tekken Compilation

If you're looking for something brand new and innovative, this is probably not it. Tekken Tag is really a Best Of Tekken, featuring all the characters from all the Tekkens, using the Tekken 3 engine (which I find superior to the earlier egines, but that's a personal preference.)

Graphically, TTT is quite impressive. Some of the characters (particuarly the Changs) could have been modeled better, and a few others (such as Lee) could have been tweaked for better fighting performance. Musically, it's better than Tekken 3 - the music fits the characters and stages much better. Tekken's volleyball and side-scrolling Tekken Force games were better than bowling.

The primary disappointment for me was the lack of imagination in creating the ending CGs - it would have been good to see a greater variety of endings, rather than the same ending in all possible costumes. Also, endings that were specific to the team would have a been a great plus, but would probably have resulted in TTT not making it as a launch title.

All in all, if you're new to fighting games, you're a Tekken addict, or you're a casual fighting game player, TTT is a good bet. If you're burned out on Tekken 3 or looking for something innovative, this is probably not the game for you.

The best fighting game there is

Tekken has always stood out from the rest of the crowd---Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter, Bloody Roar, Bushido Blade, the one-shot Ehrgeiz, the infamous Clay Fighter, the Marvel/Capcom fighting games, the famous Mortal Kombat......with the trilogy released on the PlayStation 1 comes the sequel to the trilogy--Tekken Tag Tournament. The graphics are awesome and the soundtrack is once again outstanding.

The storyline continues with a fighting tournament once again. Many new characters are introduced, and many old ones come back to fight again. Unfortunately some didn't make it into this game (Gon, the little orange dinosaur, my fave from Tekken 3, was replaced with my fave in Tekken Tag, Alex, the boxing raptor). Combos are great in this game and killer moves abound. Juggling combos are very popular.

The graphics are better than ever and without a doubt this is a must-buy game. Secret characters and options await the player, including Tekken Bowl Tournament, and many others. It is a fantastic game for the PS2 and a must-have.

It's Tekken all right

Tekken was probably always an all time favorite of myself and many of my friends in the game rooms to the old PS1. We'd spend countless hours practicing combos all night while drinking beer and eating the leftover pizza we had ordered earlier that night. This "tag tournament" concept made this game interesting...I don't think I really need to get into that much since the title speaks for itself.

What can I really say, though? Simply said, it's another Tekken. Graphics improved a bit, of course, since we are in the more graphically enhanced Playstation 2 now... but overall, its the same concept again...history repeated itself. My friends and I would spend all night fighting one another, unlocking all the secrets...and that's it. Just like we did with the previous Tekken. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this game is boring. It is great! But there is one thing I did dislike...a minor detail most would find negligable. I did not like the end movies...those little prologues you see whenever you beat the game. They were too short and simple. There was nothing very impressive about them is what I mean.

Once my friends and I get tired of this game, a couple months later a new Tekken will be released. Yeah, we'll probably get it again and repeat everything I just wrote here. :)

Good game, but not that deep.

I'm not going to say the same things that the other people who gave the game three stars.

First I'll start with the game's good points. Killer graphics that demonstrate the PS2's power even in this early stage. The roster of characters is very impressive. It also has the same old Tekken gameplay.

That's where this game faults in my opinion. Fighting games such as this just don't cut it for me anymore. If I want killer graphics combined with excellent and unique gameplay, I'll turn to DOA2: Hardcore and Soul Calibur for the Dreamcast. If I want some great tag-team fighting action or a large roster of characters, I'll turn to Marvel V.S. Capcom 2.

By main complaint, though, is the gameplay. It seems less deep than the fighting games mentioned above. If this is supposed to be a next-generation game, it needs to have more advanced gameplay.

Graphics are good. Play is good but no much different even from Tekken 2. Unless you just love fighting games wait until the price drops.

Good, but PS2 is capable of alot more.

My friends dad is in the video game industry so i get to play a american ps2 everytime i go over to his house. Out of his 3 American games he owns this is definatly my favorite. The gameplays smooth with a good framerate. There's 30+ guys for variety. And the tag modes pretty cool. My complaints though come from the capabilitys of a PS2. First it has a seperate procesor for graphics sound and of course a main procesor. The majority of games set for the launch aren't using all 3. Next it supports 4 types of media: Old playstaion games (about 650 mbs) PS2 CD-ROM games (a little more then PSX 700 mbs) PS2 DVD games (3200 mbs) and the huge double layered PS2 DVD games (6400 mbs.) And they also color coded them so you could know if the game you got was on a regular disk (black is PSX, Blue is CD-Rom, and Silver, which everygame should be is Either DVD.) Hmmmm if TTT was on a larger disk there might be beter graphics more moves maybee 70 characters more detailed levels etc. And they would still have room to spare. Soul Calibur which is one year older and on a much weaker system beats TTT majorly on the graphics. Im hopeing Tekken 4 will be alot better then this. I also cant wait till my friend can get something like grand tourism 2000 or metal gear solid 2. Finally if you wana see screen shots of TTT (or anyother PS2 game) IGN has about 40 high res shots. (I cant give u the exact url but its the same as aol's just instead of aol its ign.
