This game is awesome! Even if you aren't very fond, or good at cooking, it is fun for you, your friends, or your kids! I find that playing with another person becomes competitive but amazingly fun! If you like cooking then it is a whole different story, you will never ever leave this game!

Fun for Everyone!

This game has been a blast for our whole family. My 4 year old, almost 5, loves, loves, loves it! For the first few times you play you will have to read the on-screen instructions to the little ones who can't read yet. However, after they play it a few times, they will be able to understand what to do.

Worth the $ for fun factor, though not the best game ever

Cooking Mama on the Wii is super fun, especially with friends. I haven't yet tried the DS version, but I can say that I have already unlocked about 20 recipes and this game is worth the money. at only about 30.00 it's pretty fun. Sure, it isn't the best game I've ever played in my life (nothing compares to Mario games) but it's still an entertaining way to spend time on the wii. Basically you cook different meals. They start you out with some basics (the meals go by cuisines from different countries) and then you unlock more as you play single player mode. This mode is very fun because Mama helps you and it's exciting to anticipate which meal you unlock next. While single player mode is fun, playing against a friend in two player mode is very entertaining; seeing who is the better cook is very fun. There is a third mode in which you play against the computer, someone representing each cuisine from a specific country. That is pretty fun if you want to challenge someone but have no friends around. Overall, I would give this game a 4. The reason being that it is difficult to control at times and the directions are not clear at first. However once you start playing the controls become pretty intuitive because you just do the actions as if you were actually stirring or chopping up ingredients. Mama's comments are hysterical and the graphics are quite cute and fit well with the game; the food looks pretty real too! You do not have to be a master chef or love to cook either. I would say this is a very nice addition to any Wii owner's collection. Other than some tough controls in the beginning, Cooking Mama is a very satisfying, enjoyable game, with or without friends.

fun for the entire family

we all played this game...mom, dad and kids from ages 14 to 6 and we all thought it was cute. we are still getting used to the wii controls as we just got our wii yesterday and this was one of the games we picked up with it. i'm even sore from all thes stirring and chopping motions. my 8 year old got a little frustrated at first but once she got used to it she was okay. i can't wait to advance in the game further. very cute concept

So much Fun!

This game is so fun! It's unlike anything thing else out there! If you're a foodie like me you'll love this game! I wish Wii would make more games like these!

This is a cute cooking simulation. There's some bad English, but that's part of the charm. I don't usually play it for more than 30 minutes or so at a go, but that's fine.

Lots of Fun

I am having alotta fun with this. So many different ways to use the remote. Shaking for the salt/spice shakers, Rolling for the dough. Meat Grinder rotation. Chopping, slicing, dicing. Stir-frying etc. Its like doing the actual thing but only with a wii remote. Its a really fun game and probably one of my faves so far for the wii for simple fact all the neat ways to use the remote in combination with the recipe and cooking methods. over all 5 outta 5 cause of it being so fun and innovative use of the wii remote.

This game is cutesy and is fun to play with friends. The only downside is that there could be a few more recipies and this game is beatable within the span of literally, three hours. (including unlocking all recipies ((gold medals)), and item available, not challenges).

Forgettable.

After the first couple minutes of playing, you start to wonder if the Japanese woman's voice is going to drive you crazy.
