Repetative!

This game is pretty cool, but it gets boring real quick. I got it a few hours ago and I'm here writing this review, so what does that tell you. Same 2-D graphics with 3-D backgrounds, 56 characters, and 3 on 3 combat are the games high points. I would not buy this game if I were you, but it is a great rental game. Playing it too much will drive you insane! Repetative!

The Greatest VS Game Yet and One of the Best Fighters now!

Marvel VS. Capcom 2 is simply full blown, exciting, breathtaking, and awe-inspiring experience that every dreamcast owner should undertake! Reemember Marvel VS. Capcom, a very good conversion, but it's small potatoes when you compare it to this version! Capcom does everything it can to please gamers by having 56 playable characters, extremely quaint music, and superb backgrounds. The Circus Background is a thing of beauty (Maybe except for those clown haters). The characters have lost of cool Marvel characters (Cyclops, Spider-Man, Cable, etc.) and cool capcom characters, especially the nostalagic ones (Captain Commando, Strider, Hayato from Star Gladiator or Plasma Sword 2)Well, I've said enough. Just get this game if you own a dreamcast! Adn that's the bottom line!

If you have ever read a comic or played a Capcom game and enjoyed it, you may find something for you. An awesome 56 character tri-tag team fight system with X-men, Mega Man People, street fighter and many you don't know. Great 3-d backgrounds mixed with 2-d smooth, fast fightin'. Point system allows you to buy new characters, colors, and arenas with experience. Great Dreamcast game all around.

Wow! This game rules!

The perfect fighting game

I love this game. The HUGE roster of 56 playable charaters and the 3 person teams(no one hit wonder characters to use up) make this game a must have. The point based store to "buy" the hidden stuff is the most original thing to come to fighting games since the super combo. Almost every character from every of the VS games is here, with a few new guys and gals thrown into the mix. The matches are fast paced and the graphics rock. The only thing i don't like about this game is that there is no way to turn off the annoying back ground music. If you want some hard hitting fighting action, this is the game.

Fantastic Fighter for Everyone

When I first saw this game, I was a bit wary. I had gotten the first Marvel Vs. Capcom and was quite disappointed -- it seemed warmly embraced by hardcore fighting fans, but a casual fighter like myself had a hard time getting into it. And browsing the reviews on Amazon.com, I could find nothing but rave reviews (same as with the first game), and no one speaking from my personal point of view. So here ya go.

To me, the first MvC simply does not exist. MvC2 beats it to a bloody, polygon-laden pulp and can be entertaining for the casual as well as the toughest fighting fan. The controls are simplified, making it easier to play and enjoy. The graphics are remarkably improved, with bright colorful scenery in grand 3D (in contrast to the drab BGs of the first). The music is also much less annoying.

But perhaps the greatest attraction is the fighters -- you start off with more than you had in the first, hidden characters included. And once you're done unlocking all playable characters in MvC2, you end up with an insane total of 56. I thought the poor selection was one of the major faults of the first, which is more than remedied in this incredible sequel.

This is not simply some "rent it first" deal. Buy it NOW!

56 characters to choose from with 999 hit combos possible. 3 on 3 fighting gets wild. the 4 button format makes arial raves, and ground combos much easier....this game is a buy! perfect arcade translation makes this game the best.

the arcade hit hits home for the sega dreamcast! the best of the crossover games so far, this one pits 6 fighters against each other in fierce 3 on 3 competition. with an unheard of 56 characters (28 that you start with, 28 that have to be unlocked) this game has the most replay value of any game to date. old favorites like ryu, cyclops and guile are pitted against newcomers ruby heart, hayato, and tron bonne. this is sure to be one of the top games of the year!

THANKS CAPCOM (0=

This is by far the BEST fighting game ever! capcom has done it agian with the 4th (and best) of the VS series, not only are there new playable characters, like X-MEN'S CABLE AND MARROW, but also Jill valentine from the horror hit RESIDENT EVIL. along with every figter from the marvel/x-men/streetfighter universe and even DARKSTALKERS.

the matchups/teamups are endless and the control is much more dreamcast friendlier than the previous capcom fighters. the background 3-d graphics, add more to the scene but the chessy lounge music HAS GOT TO GO! all in all, once again mighty capcom has been there for SEGA unlike other game companies (konami,EA/SQUARE ETC.)and proved that one doesn't nessecary need a 3d fighting game become a instant hit or to sell a system. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!
