My review is going too be short and to-the-point.

PROS:
-Good Graphics
-Nice controls
-Lots of hidden Items
-Its a Pokemon game!

CONS:
-Unfair Enemys. The computer always have a huge advantage over you. For example, in one battle they crushed my with FIVE CONSECUITVE horn drill attacks (which is an automatic ko that normally has about 30% accuracy) and EVERY SINGLE ATTACK of mine missed.

-Bad enemy design. The enemys (the admins at least) are clad in HORRID eyesores. for example, Nasoucr, or whatever his name is in a purple spandex bodysuit, red skirt, white spikey hair, and pointed blue shoes.

-I feel like Im playing a beta version. It feels like this game is off a demo disk.

-No wild pokemon. Enough said.

Primitive animation.. but it's really pretty good

Pokemon Colluseum is the first 3D RPG in the Pokemon series, and is also the first one to feature an ...um... "dramatic" plot. The plot is REALLY pretty good.. if you can figure out what it is. For those of you having trouble with this, here is the plot:

THE INTRO SEQUENCE EXPLAINED: You are Wes (or whatever you want to call him), some dude in wearing some bizzare blue robe-thing. You are a member of Team Snagem, the evil organization in Orre, the region of the game. You end up betraying Team Snagem, and steal their "snag machine", which is used to steal Pokemon from other trainers. You then drive your oversized motorcycle to a little restraunt in the middle of the desert.

MIROR B: Who is this guy, anyways!? He is a member of the evil organization CIPHER, who was earlier using Team Snagem to capture Pokemon to turn into Shadow Pokemon. You might have noticed how some enemies have the titles "CIPHER ADMIN" or "CIPHER PEON". They are members of CIPHER too. The game does not really explain this, and knowing this can really improve your experience of the game.

Okay, that sums up the plot.

The game's graphics are very interesting. The areas and the Pokemon are very well designed, and often look very cool and are smoothly animated. The people are a whole different story, though. They are very low-res, and their animation is very wretched to say the least. Their running is very odd, with their legs sorta instantly switching between sides, and everything else is ridiculously simple linear animation with only a couple of keyframes (In English: It's simple and jerky animation.) But, there's somethign about the animation that just seems to add a different ambience to the game, though.

For gameplay, most of it is flawless, except for a few glaring faults:

1. It uses save points.
2. The doors don't close.

Okay, maybe #2 is a bit trivial, but everyone agrees that #1 is a horrible mistake.

That sums up my review. I hope you find it useful in playing and/or buying the game!

Okay

I am a serious Pokemon fan; I have all "standard" Pokemon games up to Emerald, and I am definitely planning to get diamond and/or pearl. I am absolutely enchanted with those games, but somehow this one doesn't quite cut the cheese. The animation's great (awesome, actually), the plot's okay, but it just doesn't work as well. This game is okay overall. The plot is all right, but sometimes I find it harder to figure out than the other Pokemon games. I didn't like how all battles were double battles; that got old after awhile. Speaking of battles, somehow in the other games I never got sick of repetitive battling, at least in the plot, but on this game I did. Double battle after double battle after double battle. That was really the biggest mistake in this game.

The concept of purifying Pokemon is interesting, to say the least. Actually, it's kind of neat, but it always bugged me to have to "snag" Pokemon from innocent trainers and keep them forever. The other interesting thing is there is another human character, for the first time in Pokemon history, that is controlled. I just found that interesting. In fact, I'd probably rate this game a four in fun if there weren't so many double battles. I like double battles okay, but I found that it can be tough to raise your Pokemon up really fast. But one great thing about the battles is that you can rebattle trainers over and over again, without any weird devices. I guess they had to do that to make up for the game's lack of wild Pokemon. Y'know, to give you some way of leveling up your Pokemon when you've battled all the trainers you're currently supposed to be battling. One major flaw is connected to that; if you didn't know you could rebattle the trainers, your Pokemon might get weak in comparison to the current trainers. In that sense, this game can be diificult to get used to after playing good ol' Red and Blue for so long.

Overall, this game is all right. Te 4 in overall is for the cool animation and stuff.

This game ROCKS!!!

OK, here goes.

Gameplay.

You walk around, talk to people and battle them. Pretty new to the Pokemon games. That was sarcasm to the little kiddies here that gave this game a five and said "OMG THIS IS THE BEST POKEMON GAME EVER!!!11!1one!1eleven" anyway, back on topic. Then there is the battle system. Horrible, uses double pokemon in every fight. This was good in Ruby/Saph. but only because it was rare. Now it takes the strategy and fun out of the battle.

Sound

Music was TERRIBLE. It started to give me a headache given the repetetiveness. It went on and on witht the same horrible sound. It IS however different in every town, I will give them credit for that, but they are all HORRIBLE.
Battle sounds were decent, but what did you expect.

Graphics:
The pokemon looked good, the environment, and the humans, looked horrible.

Story:
OK, there is NO story. Its about you, taking pokemon from people. Would be good if it had an actual story. There are interesting henchmen wearing suits simmiler to a power ranger. Then there are the awsome bosses including a person with very sharp fingers, a yellow disco suit and a half red half white afro, a large man whom i can only assume is part monkey, a very strange version of princess peach, a scientist (nothing wrong with him), and a person whom I can only assume is wearing purple spandex and a short hula skirt.

Oh, and on a side note(s):

I have more proof to backup my opinion, this is what a reviewer said...

"im a pokemon trainer but i havnt played this game yet, but my opinion would have to be that this will be the greatest game i have ever played in my life and im only 11!!!!!!!!!"

To the kid who said he would "Wait for NINTENDO to release something Pokemon on Xbox or PS2"...Bravo.

By the way, anyone who says its for kids, I am 15 (yes, old enough to have been there when pokemon red and blue were first released. Unlike half the reviewers). I didnt enjoy it. My 9 year old brother didnt enjoy it.

AWSOME GAME

This is the best! Out of all my games, this one is my favorite! Pokemon Colosseum is different than pokemon Ruby and Saphire because the graphics make it look real, though there are less pokemon to catch.

Pros
-you can catch Bayleef, while you couldn't in Hoenn
-you start out with two pokemon, instead of one
-you can go to Mt. Battle to train your pokemon

Cons
NOTHING, THIS GAME IS PERFECT!
now that you know so much about this game, go out and buy it, because this is a you must buy toy!
P.S. remember, gotta catch em' all!

Fun at first, but nintendo could have done better

I love pokemon. I've loved it since it came out to this very day, but Pokemon Colosseum was the only pokemon game to disapoint me. This is not your average quest to become a Pokemon master. In Colosseum, you have to steal other trainers Pokemon using a machine that you stole from your former fellow Team Snagem members. So basically, you are evil. You also have to purify the Pokemon you steel because there heart has been sealed artificially. They cant gain experience or learn attacks until they're purified. LAME LAME LAME LAME LAME! It made the game soooooooooo outstretched and boring, losing my interest within an hour of gameplay. You can't even catch wild Pokemon, and you can only save your game at a PC in a Pokemon Center. It took me an hour to figure that out.

This is only the game to buy if you want to just get all of the Pokemon than trade them to your GBA Pokemon games. Do not make the mistake I did on getting this, just borrow it from a friend or something to avoid wasting money.

The only good thing: Collecting and purifying all of the shadow Pokemon, then beating Mt. Battle in Colosseum mode gets you a fun suprise, a level 70 Ho-oh!

It's a pretty good game

The game is pretty fun and decent, but it's kinda short and lame. Plus you have to use a gameboy to play 2-4 players. That's really dumb. Pokemon Colesseum is alright, but rent it first before buying it. Personally you should get Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness.

"Oh! There's a SHADOW POKEMON!"

Pokemon Colosseum is the third game in the Pokemon Stadium series, and it's a bit different from its predecessors, in that it's not just a fighting game, but it's also the very first Pokemon adventure game for the GameCube. In Story Mode, there are a couple of evil organizations: Snagem and Cipher, who steal Pokemon and turn them into evil "Shadow Pokemon". You play as a boy who once worked for Snagem. However, at the beginning of the game, the boy causes an explosion at the hideout, wrecking its equipment, and escapes with his Espeon and Umbreon.
Soon enough, you rescue a girl with the ability to sense when a Pokemon is evil, and the real adventure starts. The object of the game is to raise Pokemon, of course, and to steal the evil Pokemon from the bad guys so you can make them good again.

Here are the pros and cons of this game.

PROS:
It's a LOT of fun (duhh).
The graphics are really good.
The background music is also really good (with the possible exception of when they use harmonicas; that gets stuck in my head).
There's a lot in it.

CONS:
The final boss is really really really really really really hard.
You can't save wherever you want--you have to find a special computer in a certain part of wherever you are. (This is EXTREMELY annoying--I almost got stuck playing it well into the night because of this.)
You can't play as a girl. However, there is a girl who follows the main character around, and you get to name her, but it's not quite the same.

Overall, this game is really quite good, if a bit frustrating from time to time, and it's certainly worth buying.
