Spider-Man, Spider-Man!

Does whatever a console can! Higher res, optimized! Graphics had me hipnotized! So look out! Look out for Spider-Man! But seriously, this game ROCKS! Impressive graphics, lots of combos and secrets, hilarious tutorial narrations by Bruce Campbell of Evil Dead fame, and a secret store full of, well, secrets (duh). I won't spoil anything or give away any hints, 'cause I only got it a week ago. But it has captured and held my attention to the point where my mom had to beat me with a stick in order to get me off! Buy it!

very mediocre

First of all, this is ofcourse a super-hero game, and everyone knows that we have had a troubled past with this genre.
But surprisingly, activision did a nice job with this one.
The graphics are really good (with a bit of tweaking.), even with a an old card, and the sound is okay. but there are some downsides, the default graphical settings are: low detail, no shadows, and the absolutely horendous 640x480 resolution (but nothing that can't be fixed.), in the first and second levels all the bad guys look exactly the same except for like 2,
the characters only have a few sayings that get extremely repetitive, and you don't start out with the actual costume !?
and finally the control is horrible.
But, it isn't all bad, swinging through the city is really fun,
and once you beat the game, you get to play as alex ross's design for spiderman and you also get to play as the green goblin. so here is a quick list of pros and cons:

PROS

1 with some tweaking, the graphics are pretty good

2 the sound is cd quality

3 you get to play as different characters once you beat the game

CONS

1 all the bad guys look exactly the same

2 there are only a few sayings for the characters

3 default settings don't cut it

As I said mediocre, but moderatly fun.

awsome

I bought this game in May because it is fun for X-Box. When we got it it started freezing on me and the controls really stink. Since we didn't like the freezing we tried to return it...If you want this game buy it for X-Box of PS2...

BEWARE!!! you must have an above standard 3D card!!!

I have a 6 month old computer, with a 3D card, that according to Dell: "meets the demands of professional 3D applications and next generation 3D games. It is a fully integrated, 128-bit graphics and multimedia accelerator that offers leading-edge performance." You can understand my concern when I discover that the game is incompatible with my system.
Amazon.com will only replace the game if it is unopened, and doesn't care that the requirements are not listed on their site.
Be careful when buying any kind of software from amazon.com!

Seems a lifetime to make.

This game is so awesome and yet it seems it would take forever to make. Because you can play as three different thugs, Shocker, Scientist, Harry the Green Goblin and more. It seems impossible to make. The razor-bat level is the biggest problem for the people whom made it. This game is awesome but hard to make. Buy it and see for yourselves.

3D Accelerator Card Required but a great game.

I finally bought a 3D Acceleration Card and installed it. This is a great game. You can play as the Green Goblin. You have to beat the game on Hero to unlock it in the Specials menu in the secret store. To unlock it easily Start a NEw Game on Hero. Quit to menu then enter the code ARACHNID in the cheats menu in the specials menu. Then select the level COCLUSION. Now you'll have the Green Goblin feature unlock in the secret store. Type in the code CHILLOUT in order to have unlimited use of the glider's weapons without the glider overheating. This is a great game and it's a must ahve for all Spider-Man fans.

Much improved from the last game, this is great! There are so many secret areas to find and combos to try out and enemies to beat. I love this game, I think Activision did a great job on improving it.

Definitely Amazing Spiderman

I've been a Spidey fan for a really long while now, and when Activision released Spiderman I knew I had to have it and I wasn't dissapointed. The game is excellent. From the graphics to the game play. This is one of the few games you come across that are worth playing. Even if you aren't a Spidey fan, you are going to love it. The graphics are the best on the market, and he has so many moves you'll just love beating up the bad guys. And each level offers something different, even the variation in combating the bosses is different.
I hope these words help convince the doubtful. Get it, it's worth it.
Oh, don't miss the sequel to Spiderman in 2004.

Second to none

Lets face it in the world of video games the spider-man series is legendary and this installment dosen't disapoint. This game has everything cystal clear graphics and a story line to match. Some day spider-man will join the ranks of the legend of Zelda and Tomb Raider on the classics shelf. Even if you are not a spidey fan this game is worth every penny.
