IF YOU'R A ZELDA FAN READ THIS

1 Rating: 1, Useful: 0 / 1

i got this game and imediatly regreted it. i did not like it at ALL. the graphics were worse than mine (i have a graphics art business even though im only 11) and the music was, well, not very good. way to many baddies and although i didnt get anywhere in the hour i tried to play it, i really think you should get something else. if you like arcades and ridiculus games that make you die, start over, die start over typ of thing sure go ahead and get it. but if your a person like a big Zelda fan (like me) get something else, youd be useing your money better. those people who gave it 5 stars, they have their own oppinion, and if they like it they like it, im glad they found something they like to play. i however would urge you to consider what im saying.

This is an over all bad game.I feel the real bad thing about this game is that I hate the way you build up your characters. If your like me and have played FFVII you know when you build up your characters you hit stronger and kill enemies quiker. In this game all it does you change your suit and you look cooler.I don't recommened this game to many people but it is something if you like the arcade game then you will probally like this one if not don't buy it.

Gauntlet Legends is O.K.,but there is nothing to do in it. It is soooo boring. You do the same thing through the entire game. I only give it 2 stars.=o(

The game itself is good, But it isnt very disireable on the Super Nintendo Platform. It is a much better game to play in the Arcade. you have greater control of what your doing.

THis game is pretty good, but a little repetative

I thought the game was really fun to play but it does get a little repetative. The music and sound are pretty good but they could be a bit better. This game is for four players but waht is not told to you is that you need an Expansion Pack to play with four. Only three without

Not horrible, not too good either

I got this game as a Hanukkah present without ever having heard of it or its predecessors. Once you're right down to it, it's not a bad game. The graphics are pretty mediocre, but the sound isn't as bad as everyone says it is. I kind of like the music, repetitive as it is, cos it's good at setting the mood. The sound effects are mind-numbingly repetitive, but the character's short bits of dialogue are hysterical: wait'll you hear the Archer when she gets a bite to eat, you'll see why I think it's so funny. Anyway, the gameplay itself is quite tedious. Every level is exactly the same as the one before it, except it's got a different background/trail, and the enemies are sometimes different, but basically variations of the same few monsters you encounter in the beginning. The game gets really boring and frustrating after awhile, and mine has some kind of bug in it, so I can't even beat it. But if you're into that kind of mindless run/slash kind of gameplay mechanics, then you will absolutely love this game.

I got hooked to this game imediately when i started. the feature of multiplayer co-op game is great. This game is so awsome! Lots of Bosses and cool monsters. Each character at lvl 15 gets a helper dragon or animal.

THIS GAME IS AWSOME!!

Works best as a multi-player game.

I'm not sure exactly what all the party-poopers and naysayers don't like about this game, but I think you can safely ignore them. This game is about killing monsters, LOTS of monsters. And gosh, sometimes that's just what you want to do.

The game is surprisingly rewarding as a 2-player game, and not anywhere near as much fun in single-player mode. I've tried it both ways and the difference is huge. I think this is why at least one reviewer was so negative about it.

Unfortunately, the graphics aren't as good as they are in the arcade version. However, the expansion pack (or whatever that N64 memory add-on pack is called) seemed to make a big difference in the graphics quality. It might have been my imagination, but I thought the colors were brighter and the monsters were more detailed after putting the pack in. The upside is that the game is fairly long (you'd have to spend hundreds of bucks on the arcade version to finish it), and replaying old levels never seems to get old. There are oodles of spells and magic items. The worlds are beautiful and haunting, and the music is fantastic. This game is well worth the price of admission.

Gauntlet Legends: A Great Multiplayer Game

I have played this game for about 3 weeks and this game has been great. The graphics are great with the expansion pac and it is a fun game for friends. It may pay a tax on your patience with the puzzles it makes you do, especially on multiplayer, but besides that it is fun enough to relearn all the sharing you learned on Sesame Street(tm) while saving the world. For parties, it would get enoying to get everybody playing by switching off, but for 2-4 it is great. As for the single player game, it can get boring fast for those of lesser tempers, but overall this game is exciting and adventurous.

Better than it looks

I recently rented Gauntlet Legends and I just have 1 thing to say- it is a lot of fun, HOWEVER the game is only really good with more than 1 person playing. The graphics stink, I must admit, and the sound is even worse, but is one of the best multiplayer games for the N64. The different characters really add something to the game, making each player feel unique, and the amount of stuff you can collect adds a lot, too. The game is definitely not my first choice for a game (Perfect Dark is a million times better), but when 4 players get together the game becomes a true work of art, not an experience because of its graphics, and definitely not for its sound, but because is just simply fun. I suggest anyone who has not played it yet should rent it, because it is a really great game that 4 people can enjoy.
