Japan Version

The American Version of this game will include Valkrion the Magna Warrior,Sinister Serpent, and Harpie's Feather Duster.
Well, the Japenese Version was sold today in Japan, and there promotianal cards are Obelisk the Tormentor, The Winged Dragon of Ra, and Slifer the Sky Dragon. Obelisk's ATK and DEF points are both 4000. Slifer the Sky Dragon's ATK and DEF points are X000.The X stand for the number of cards in your hand(example,if you have 7 cards in your hand,Slifer's ATK and DEF points are both 7000!When you draw,Slifer gains more ATK and DEF points).Ra's ATK and DEF points are ????.This card has 2 different effects. To summon the god cards, you must offer 3 monsters. For Ra,when you sacrifice 3 monsters to summon it,add up all 3 monsters ATK points to have Ra's ATK points and add up all 3 monsters DEF points to get Ra's defense points.Another one is sacrifice all of your life points until you have 1 life point left, and add it to ra's attack points. If you bring something back from the graveyard, you aren't allowed to attack with it until your next turn.Ra bypasses this rule.Obelisk's effect is sacrifice 2 monsters on the field to destroy all monsters on your opponents side of the field and your opponent recieves 4000 damage to their life points instantly. They are english but it doesn't say they have an effect. They are called Divine-Beasts and their attributes are called Divine instead of Dark,Earth, etc.I called Upper Deck and they are still deciding if they should ban them from tournaments or not.Yes,once again, they are secret rare, english promos in a japenese game. They rock, they're being sold at [web site] .They said that when they're out of the english god cards, they're out for good.So hurry up and get them NOW.Can also get them at [web site].See ya.By the way,I heard that Valkrion the Magna Warrior's ATk points are 3500 and his DEF points are 3800 and you must sacrifice Alpha,Beta, and that other promo card that you can get in Duelist of the Roses....

Bad user interface and weak AI

2 Rating: 2, Useful: 1 / 4

I am very dissappointed by the user interface and the game AI. Here is what I am botherd by:

1. When the opponent plays, the cards flip and attack super fast and you can't see what's happening until its all over. Then if you want to see a card in grave yard you have to search to the bottom of the pile to see it rather than look on top of the pile.

2. In general the game doesn't allow you to view the details of all the cards in play at any time (only the names). This is useless unless you've memorized all 1000 cards. For example:

a. If you have a magic card in play and the opponent plays a card that allows you to use the magic card, the game asks you if you want to activate the card...however, it doesn't allow you to view your opponets card even though his card is face up (it just gives you the name of the card). In otherwords, you can't read the card details thus you can't figure out what the opponents card does in order to decide if you should activate your card.

b. Some cards allow you to draw three cards and discard two, however, during the discard phase you can't view the card details of your choices to discard (only the name of the card).

3. The AI is also weak. For example, my opponent had 3 monsters able to attack me and I had none, but rather than attack the computer played a magic card that distroyed all monsters on the field....go figure.

I had high hopes for this game but the poor user interface spoils it for me.

Yu-Gi-Oh Worldwide brings the match!

Yu-Gi-Oh Worldwide Stairway to the Destined duel is imported from the Eternal Duelist Soul game with more than 1000+ cards(The new cards are the Labyrinth of Nightmare),import cards from the TCG,Battle and duel in Kaiba's Battle City Tournament!Bring your match in yugioh WWESTTDD now avaible in stores! This game contains more things than the Eternal D Soul game because it contains more features and more duelists!

Good game, nothing new

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 19 / 22

General:

It's the engine of the previous game, with a different interface.

Positives:

Harpy's Feather Duster!!

Graphics are improved.

Gameplay during duels is faster, without holding the b button. Yes, the snail speed is gone, good work!

The initial decks are much better than in the previous game. The three are pretty much the same, with different distribution in the number of magic to monster to trap cards. They included a Dark Magician or two, a Summoned Skull, a Fusion and a Ritual Monster with RM Card (Ritual Magic). This is better than 15 monsters under 1500 ATK points, where monsters with 1200 ATK are a threat to most of your deck. Thumbs up to Konami for this design.

Harpy's Feather Duster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harpy's FD and Magnet Valkyrion will be selling on e-bay for 50 bucks a pop, I've seen the entire magnet warrior set advertised for $150. Makes the economics of this purchase easy.

Negatives:

It's the same game with a different interface. This may be offset by the number of new monsters in the game, don't know how many there are yet.

NO LORD OF D OR FLUTE OF SUMMONING DRAGON!!!!! What were they drinking when they decided to take those cards out of the game? Wonder what else is missing. Will find out after playing more.

Lacks originality.

AI still does not calculate the ATK difference with Mirror Wall in place, and attacks - just to lose?? There is no excuse for not fixing this design flaw, except faster production and quicker profits.

Still the same password system. It takes a while to build your actual deck in this game for practice. They should have a point system to "purchase" cards via passwords instead, and let serious players play their real deck in the game. Or why not even add the 4 starter packs as an option among the booster packs after winning a duel?

Overall:
Still fun dueling, not really different than the previous game. If you want to practice playing with the new boosters that are out, this is a must. If you play the actual card game, the cards with this game are worth the purchase.

Did I mention that Harpy's Feather Duster is actually in here?

Younger players will like the interface and interaction with the TV show characters better.

the cards .

A Great Game for all Yu-Gi-Oh fans

This is an an awsome game for anyone who already knows how to duel or is just learning. The new map feature really makes the game more intresting because you cant just challenge whoever you want whenever you want. There are many new cards in this game than there are in EDS, such as the Destiny board set. Also, for people who collect the cards, it comes with three awsome cards, Harpie's Feather Duster, Sinister Serpent, and Valkron the Magnet Warrior, extreamly powerfull and useful cards.

one of the best Yu-Gi-Oh! games to date...

I purchased this over the weekend, because it would almost entirely ensure that I wouldn't have to spend more money on cards for a while(believe me, on my budget, card buying saps alot ^_^). Let me just say, this is a pretty good game. Obviously this is better than Duelists of Roses(i think thats the name) and Forbidden Memories, both of them stray too much from the rules, and at least Forbidden Memories requires you to earn insane amounts of star chips for half-way decent cards(I haven't tried Duelists of Roses yet). And this beats out Eternal Duelist Soul(which I have a ROM of), by offering every english card released so far(EDS only had a few cards from Pharaohs Servant, the most recent set out at the time of EDS's release). Plus, the idea that there are new goals, like defeating both of your targets during 'Target Week', or searching out the Rare Hunters when you're notified of their presence. But one thing that is both a help and a hindering trait, is the jacked up diffculty for beating some players, and the toned down difficulty for others. For example, in EDS, Joey was simple to beat, but in this game, his difficulty has been jacked up a bit, probably due to his new cards. Meanwhile, I find Weevil easier to beat, with a lot of his cards being pushovers, and his strategy somewhat less bloodthirsty than in EDS(I think it was just because my old EDS deck sucked^_^). Overall, a nice game, very fun, and worth buying...

By the way, don't be surprised if your promo cards(Valkyrion the Magna Warrior, Harpie's Feather Duster, and Sinister Serpent) are a little bent, mine were, but not really that badly...

I found this game to be extremely familiar to the older version of GBA Yu-gi-oh. If you play eternal duelist and expect something new... than this is not what you are looking for.

1 Word... Pokemon

I had high hopes for this game... It is an O.K. game for a die hard Yu-Gi-Oh! or Pokemon fan. The problem with this game is

1. Plays exactly like "yesterdays" Pokemon games.
2. WOW! You get 3 ... cards with it!
3. You might last a couple hours at the most with the horrible gameplay and graphics.
4. Has barely any relation to the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game.

OVERALL: This game is a joke :(
