The Incas at Last!

Greetings:

I was pleased greatly with this expansion. It fianlly added some civs that had benn blatantly ignored despite their days of greatness.

I am annoyed with this so-called bonus disk that never appeared. It must be totally mythical.

It is the best game I ahve evr played in my life, on a computer (except for Alternate Reailty of the late 80s early 90s).

At least Civ III, isn't a pushover like Civ II was at deity. The added intricacies in this expansion have only added to the fun and tension of the game.

No Second Disc From Amazon or Atari

I,ve received Civ Conquests from Amazon. Where's the second disc as promised by Atari? My experience with Amazon has always been excellent so I suspect Atari blew it! The game is OK. Will Atari ever make their offer good?

Great game

Conquests is the best civ version so far. All the added features are a wonderful improvement on the other 2 versions of Civilization III. The game is tons of fun and madly addictive. I recommend this game to everyone who owns a computer.

This game is fun, but some things are wrong with it. New wonders and city improvements don't appear on the bird'seye view. They have the little pictures on the display and still take affect, but the feeling of seeing them in your city is something needed. Perhaps they can make a patch to fix this. Also no new luxery or strategic resources in the regular game. In scenarios yes, but not in standard play. Some things that need to be added are WWII in Europe and the civilization of the Hebrews. The Hebrews did a lot of big things too. Moreso than the Carthaginians or the Ottomans. The volcanoes should be on the making the world screen. You should be able to pick the amount of volcanic activity on your planet. The new units and stuff are cool though. The game is fun though.

Where are the Hebrews?

I'm looking forward to purchasing this product, as I am a big Civ3 fan, but without even buying yet, I already have a criticism:

WHERE ARE THE HEBREWS? Where is a civ that represents the Hebrews/Israelites/Israelis?

8 new civilizations on PTW & 7 more on this expansion pack. 6 out of the 15 new civs from the expansion packs are from the Middle East/N.Africa (Arabs, Ottomans, Carthinagens, Sumerians, Hittites & Byzantines). At least 3 of the classic civs (Egyptians, Babylonians, Perisans) are also middle eastern civs. That's NINE civs from the Middle East and no civ for the Hebrews?!?! C'mon Sid.

The Hebrews/Israelis the one civ I've looked forward to Sid Meier adding to the game. Yet, again I am disappointed. Perhaps they can provide it in a patch or something. What's a Jewish civ3 fan to do? I guess I'll have to buy it anyways.

good game

Um, Felini this game isn't a RTS it's a turn based strategy, and like most TBS the games do take a long time to finish, but it's a pretty fun game. I'm in the beta right now and it is definatly worth picking up on oct 28.

Conquests is Great!

Conquests is definitely what Play the World should have been. I guess that's why Conquests includes PTW (Why is there a bundle deal for buying both? There already is one, it's called CIVILIZATION: CONQUESTS. Anyway, the conquests are great. You can also use the improved editor to make your own conquests! In a conquest, you can completely change the rules, governments, and Tech Tree. Players are encouraged to expand their civ early to secure the victory point markers as soon as possible. This is a great expansion pack, but what's with the price? Amazon.com has it for $9.99!!!! Too bad I live in Canada. Every Civ3 player should DEFINITELY buy this. Anyone who doesn't is really missing out.

Civ III...continuation of the BEST gaming experience ever!

Having played my first Civ game in 1991 on my very first PC, I've been a fan of the series ever since, having owned and played every single published Civilization series game and spin off ever released.

While some will state that this is a rip-off to publish add-on packs for features that should have been included in the first place, that's another debate which I won't address, or knock stars off my rating for it.

Having seen pieces of the beta software and what is added, I say bring it on. I'll buy it and play it. If you're a hardcore Civ gamer, you'll love it!

Hard to improve on this one.

I've been playing this game for a long time, I put it aside but keep coming back to it as It's hard to find any more enjoyable game that compares to it. I have civ 4 and while it's a good game I think this one is more enjoyable.
