IF YOU LIKE RAINBOW 6, OR ANY GAME THAT INVOLVES STRATAGY AND STEALTH THEN SPECIAL OPS IS FOR YOU. THE ASSORTMENT OF RIFLES, GERNADES, EXPLOSIVES MAKE THIS GAME A LOT OF FUN BUT YOU BETTER KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, AND DON'T GET CAUGHT BY ENEMY FORCES, BECAUSE ITS LIKE REAL LIFE IF YOUR MAN DIES HE IS DEAD! RUN OUT OF AMMO , OH WELL! ALL IN ALL ITS AN EXCELENT GAME BUT EXTREMLY HARD BUT YOU GET MORE THAN YOUR MONIES WORTH. SO ORDER IT AND BE AIRBORNE RANGER ALL THE WAY!

I bought this game last week and thought that it would either suck or or be decent, there was no way in hell I would have thought that this game would be so great! I love the sniper rifles and it's just so great that you have so many guns and weapons to choose from. But be warned it is a HARD game, I mean the krauts in this game are smart! But also the enviornments in this game are so cool I definitley recommend this game as well as Medal of Honor

OK. So this game is not as good as Metal Gear Solid, or as realistic as Rainbow Six (PC version), it still has a lot of bang for the buck. The idea of a two-man hit and run operation appeals to many, and this game does it fairly well. Graphics are all right, but they are good enough to get the job done. Sound and music is fair as well, but the voices are a bit cheesy. Now, my gripes. Choices in firepower are great, but all of the weapons have the same performance levels. Believe me, in real life, a Barrett .50 sniper rifle has MORE knockdown than a suppressed 9mm HK MP5SD. Grenades are hard to aim, and the controls are tricky to master. The game's difficulty is another factor, and it is hard to see a difference in the three difficulty levels. All in all however, it is a fun game, and the ability to command two Rangers using cooperative cover/maneuver light infantry tactics is this game's strongest point. Anyway, if you want a fun, (VERY)challenging and moderately realistic game..., try it out.

ok, first you have to consider this game originally came out in like 1999 for the old playstation. Of course it's going to look crummy compared to ps2 games or even some of the more recent ps1 games (the few that they still make).
Still, if you like first person shooters and military games like the Medal of Honor series, it's worth the five bucks to get this game. I have all of the Spec Ops ps1 games and they are fun...not great but if you're on a tight budget, it makes for good entertainment

THe only good thing about this game is that you can play with a buddy and both die together. The controls are confusing. When I attempt to change my weapons from my inventory I invariably get shot. I thought the "Private" level would let me get used to the game. I cannot last more than 3 minutes here! If this is easy I cannot imagine the difficult levels. Please save your money.

This game is way too hard! I enjoy a challenge, but this is ridiculous! I grew frustrated on the easy setting and anything above that is more infuriating than fun. What is fun is playing with two players, but even that doesn't make it any easier. I would say if you can get this game for under ten bucks and only want about five or six hours of gameplay out of it it is worth it.

This game for me is real tough , the missions are timed so I feel that I need to rush to get the objectives and in doing so make mistakes and get killed quickly. This game seems to be fun but very difficult to complete levels which discourages me from playing. It is somewhat like Rainbow 6 but much more difficult. I've tried to locate hints on the internet and have been unsuccesful so far.Looks like i'll need the strategy book.

Maybe I'm loosing it, but since when can your enemies shoot you through hills? I'm all for inventive games but this is just too much. Not to mention it's virtually impossible to find your objectives. But hey, I guess the game magically becomes fun if you own it instead of renting it? I guess I wouldn't know.

This game is one of the worst for playstation. .... Its hard to move around, the graphics are terrible. The artificial intelligence of the enemies is bad, sometimes they hide behind a bush and blast away at you, and sometimes they just stand there and let you kill them. Don't buy this game.

Spec Ops: Stealth Patrol puts you in the life of a ranger. This proves to be quite the task. The first level turns out to be amazingly hard with enemies running around EVERYWHERE and almost no medi-packs at your disposal. The solution? Call a friend and beat the game in two-player mode. It turns out that it's a really, really fun game! Kneeling and laying on your stomach become your best friend when dodging enemy fire. Learning to search around the area and sneaking up on soldiers shows that medi-packs are equaly spread throughout levels. Choose your men wisely, as some missions need someone that can use a scope to take out those irresistible mines. The graphics, sound, and game mechanics are really great for only [the price]. The only drawback I have is that when you're calling your buddy to follow you, he can get hung up on things like trees or cliffs -and- the game could go much smoother without mines on every inch of ground. Overall, your ... bucks couldn't go to better use. Nothing feels better than seeing an Iraqi through your scope, or watching the little red sights appear on a Viet-Kong.
