Super Princess Peach is a great game for kids.

I bought this game for my daughter who just turned five. She absolutely loves this game, as she is a big time fan of the Princess. She is still working on the game and continues to have fun with it. Her older brother, who is six, really loves this game, to my surprise. He loves anything to do with Mario and the gang and this game is right up there with the best of them.

You don't have to yell, I'm right here!

This game is about a princess out to rescue the two guys who usually rescue her. Various gaming magazines say this game should hold fans over until "the real deal, New Super Mario Bros." comes out. I'm not waiting for that game, I'm doing fine with just this one. Enough rammbling though.

Super Princess Peach essentially plays like a standard side-scrolling Super Mario video game, except that you don't use fire flowers, leaves, or various animal suits to power up. Instead, you rely on raw emotion, which you can activate by touching the screen. You can also buy new special effects for your umbrella as well.

Not a very effective review, I know. This is my second draft.

The game is rumble-pak compatible. I got mine with Metroid Pinball, but you can get one by itself from Nintendo's official website.

The gameplay is solid, but the control set-up is not perfect. A for jump and B for attack would be a good thing if this were a Game Boy game, but the buttons are laid out differently on the DS as I explained in my DS/Mario Kart bundle review.
A for Jump.
B or Y for Attack.
X for picking stuff up. Then press down to have the umbrellas go Kirby and swollow your eneimes to refil your Vibe powers bar.
Holding L or R allows you to move slower. This is good for walking across unsteady bridges and blocks.

12 out of 17 people found my initial review helpful. A shame I had to reset that number by rewriting my review but a few differences have come up. I had previously said that Tomb Raider Legend was not announced for any Nintendo console. That has changed.

go super princess peach!

This is my favorite DS game! Princess Peach is a fun beginers game. I mastered it quickly and enjoy playing it. DEFINETFLY EASIER than New Super Mario Brothers!!! I'm only on world 6 on Mario, and 8 on Peach. Now, I really am a beginer I'll admit, but I am so much better at peach!! I would recomend Peach to ANYBODY! Get Peach today!

Very worth it!

I bought this game a couple of weeks ago unsure if it was worth the money. But after I played it, I learned all the special techniques almost right away. The game is easy to catch onto and it's great if you're looking for something that's not too difficult or brain-frying! It's very calming and I usually play it when I need to unwind. It's also well designed and colorful, the graphics are beautifully done. I would recommend this game - especially for girls who enjoy Nintendo - like myself!!

wicked fun!!! at first

i think princess peach is the best game ever! its really fun to discover all types of worlds. u have to find all of the toads before you beat bowser! i cannot find the toads for the winter land and hoos wood but these are the world that i know of.

1. la di da plains
2.hoos wood
3.a haunted house (i do not know the name)
4. fury volcano
5. a winter land ( i do not know the name either)
6. wavy beach
7. giddy sky
8. bowsers villa

its really easy for me (im just a ten year old)
so its should be really easy for u too! it is still really fun but when u beat the game after a while it gets boring to play the same lvls over and over again. so i recomend that u take ur time with this game

First of all, let's clear something up. SPP is not "too girly". It is not as if SMB was ever a "manly man's game" to begin with, so if the only reason you haven't tried this yet is because the lead character is female, you are officially ridiculous.

That said, I'll get to the actual game. It's awesome, and NOT too easy. Sure, the first few stages are pretty simple, as you get used to the various mechanics. But as the game goes on, you get fewer hints, less obvious puzzles, and more unforgiving platform placements. Still, Nintendo's magic touch prevails; the puzzles are always fair and logical, and a combination of skill and ingenuity will always pull you through.

It's not too short, either. There are eight, rather large stages, filled with plenty of challenges and collectables. There is also a big "shop" where you can buy tons of stuff, much of which is actually useful. And for the hardcore, the option is there to run through all the stages again after beating the final boss, for the purpose of getting absolutely everything.

The trimmings are no slouch, either. The graphics are sharp, and many of the tunes are actually hum-able. The use of Peach's emotions to solve puzzles is really clever (getting mad to fuel a hot air balloon? Awesome), and Perry (the umbrella) is one of my favorite new video game characters. SPP is a rock-solid platformer not to be missed by Nintendo lovers.

Okay, so I, too, had heard how easy this game was. Yes, it is easy, at least at first..then it get's more challenging, about mid-game (third world or so). And yes, they have these wonderfully elaborate bosses that you have to destroy, and the game does give it away (in the form of info boxes like they did in Mario World, hit them and they give you a hint, or tips) but you know, if you want to have a bit more of a challenge, don't hit the info box when you enter the door or tube before a boss!

Peach's umbrella is a lot of fun..running out to vibes in your vibe meter? Eat about three or four enemies to fill it up! Later, you can go to Toad's Shop and buy special power-ups (A metroid-esque charge up by holding "B" for example) and even a ground, er, umbrella pound. I finally got the Yoshi-like ability to use it to float by pressing and hold "A" after jumping..

Most bosses require you to use your vibes to beat them, and some of them are fairly challenging.
Vibes are as follows:
*Joy-A cyclone will wrap around Peach. While pressing "A" She will float higher in the air.
*Rage-Flames surround Peach(This one is hilarious to watch! Grrr! She stomps around, buring everything in her path! lol)
*Gloom-Peach starts bawling, and runs quickly
*Calm-refills your heart meter but uses up your vibe meter

A lot of people and reviewers thought this game was too easy compared to a standard Mario game, but I'll be honest here: I find most of the Mario games very difficult to beat..in fact, the only ones I've ever beat on my own, are Mario Land (for the gameboy) and Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins (also for gameboy) So, Super Princess peach was just right for me!

Want to make the game even more challenging? Don't buy any extra hearts or vibe meters! Play the game as is! I've died a lot more then I thought I would that way...

At Toad's shop, (accessable between levels) you can get extra heart containers, extra vibes meters, music room sounds and other things. The only thing I have done was buy an extra vibe meter (you'll always be running out!) but not hearts, so the game is (especially in later levels) more on-par with a Mario game in difficulty.
You don't have to do this, but I choose to, because the game was too easy in the beginning(yes, even for me)..now, without extra hearts, I'm dying a lot in these later levels and bosses, and have to be extra careful..

Also, there are puzzle pieces to collect in each level, and three toads per level..sure, you could whiz by and beat it without, but it's a lot more fun to explore everything, use your vibes and find all three toads in each level. Puzzle pieces (12 per puzzle) are hidden one per level (I think) and when all the pieces are found, you can race the clock to put the puzzle together, rotating pieces with your stylus.
There are other fun mini-games you can unlock in the game, and in Toad's Store, you can buy up to 10 different difficulties of the minigames..so far, my favorite is a Mario-esque game where you have to blow into the mic to get toad to jump over enemies and holes, as the game scrolls. It's quite challenging..by blowing harder or softer you control the height of his jump!

There are more mini games to unlock, but I haven't found them all!
I've gotten to know each level quite well, searching for the toads and puzzle pieces..perhaps I should write a FAQ on it!

I was sure I was going to hate this game (the protagonist uses her Moods to get through the game! Sexist!), but I've been playing and playing it since I got it! I've heard there's something special when you beat the game the first time. I'll let you all know my final thoughts when I beat it..

This is one game I'm keeping. It's fun to stomp goombas, Paratroopers and (finally) take out Piranna Plants, Bullet Bills..there's even pesty Lakitu! All the old favorites are here!
But, there's some new enemies.."Angry" enemies chrage at you, "sad" ones rush at you, "happy" ones bounce around, etc.
All in all, Peach does Mario proud in her new game.

All the classic mario-ism, with a female paradigm

My 3 year old daughter started to express an interest in my Nintendo DS (translation: she was ripping it out of my hands while I was playing).

Not wanting my Final Fantasy or Advance War save games deleted, I bought her Super Princess Peach thinking she would have fun watching the title screen load and maybe clicking around here or there.

To my amazement, within a week she was taking out entire levels. Her first video game. So, Nintendo is a genius company to be able to make a game that is so natural that it can be enjoyed by a 3 year old or an adult.

The game is very high quality, and the content is not at all like the trash put out in the west (Bratz, Sponge Bob, etc). Do your kids a favor and go Japanese. They still know whats good and whats normal.

I really like Super Princess Peach! It's absoulutly fun! You can find things around you! Absorb enemies so you can use the vibes! Re fil Peaches HP (lives) with either finding a heart or being happy with the vibes and find crystals or absorb enemies! There was this flower and mushroom part with cool music that I loved! You have to use your smarts, eyes, ears, and memory of controls and you can get through it! Ohh and get the Super Princess Peach Bundle to go with your game!
