Muskido's Intuition

Personally, I think this game is horrible. A few bonus levels are fun, but the rest is generally hard to admire. This game is only good for those of you who are really hardcore platform players. The game is hard, keeps you frustrated at timing that jump half a second off, and is not as fun as many expect.

Lets take Rayman, and stuff him in a blender, then add a few spiffy looking graphics and gameplay along with him. Chuck in some great music, and easy-to-kill bosses, and what do you have? RAYMAN ADVANCE! The game is relatively easy. sometimes, it is nearly impossible to control Rayman with that puny D-Pad, but that is only because Rayman is strictly a Nintendo 64 type game. The game works best with a joystick. In order to Make the game easier, I recommend purchasing a few cheap, but snazzy face plates with joystick attachments. The gameplay will be 10x easier. The game is rather dark at some points, so I recommend buying a game light. the game is very addictive, almost to the point where the only way to turn it off is to lose all your lives, and it's so addictive that you'll want a shock and rock or any power pak to let you extend your gameplay. This is a must-have for all gamers.

What he lacks in limbs he makes up for in fun!

Ubi Soft's original, million-selling Rayman game is back on GameBoy Advance. It's got 60 colorful levels with surreal landscapes and lush backrounds. Rayman himself is a masterpiece with all of his lighting fast action moves. The play control is also great. Controling Rayman is a snap. Nice music too. It's looks like a cartoon with a colorful twist. It's a great game that no one should miss out on. It's a one of kind adventure for a limbless hero. It don't get any better then Rayman Advance.

I have tree GBA games, and this was the first to make my jaw drop at the awesome potential of the platform. The graphics are stunning, colorful, and fun. The game play is really cool. I like that you learn to do things like dangle. Also, as a person who'd rather play puzzle games than headache inducing shoot-em-ups, I was pleased to see that this game encourages exploration, taking one's time, and thinking, while still keeping gameplay fresh and interesting. That's rare, and worth investing in. I highly reccomend this game to just about anyone. You won't regret buying it.

This is a really great game. I dont have much experience, but i think most people will love it. It's not to violent and ALWAYS active. Here is what I thought of the game on a scale from 1-10 10 being the best:
graphics: 10!!!! the graphics were great!
controls: 9, these were easy to understand
reaply value: 6, not so good you have to get ALL the electoons before you can win
story: 8.5, its OK
levels: 9 plenty of levels for you to have fun.
I gave this game 5 stars becasue its easy but not too easy, just enough to challenge and unskilled gamer and good enough to please a skilled gamer. I recommed it as a great first game!

Never buy a game for eyecandy.

What first influenced me to purchase Rayman Advance was my experience with Rayman: The Great Escape for the N64, PS2 and maybe another console (A must buy). Once in my eager hands, I immediately took it home and slammed the cartridge into the GBA. My first impression was with the graphics it boasted and its detailed, elaborate backgrounds. But, as the game progressed a small voice with the regret of purchasing this game grew louder and louder of each passing stage, death, or frustration.

With each movement the game became more repetitive, dull and bland. The stages are basically repeated over and over again except with a different layout and setting.

The music I didn't really notice, but still could be improved upon. You can't really get to expect to get great sound from the GBA's tiny, single, stereo speaker. If you have this for the SNES, plug it in and you will find the sound quality much better.

With this game, if you've read the other reviews, you either love it or you hate it. It is also focused more along the line of 8-13 year old gamers, thus not a great game for the older type. The best way to decide if you like this game is going to a local Blockbuster, or whatever rental place you know of that has GBA games for rent and renting this game (if they carry it, of course), or if you know a friend who has it.

It will save alot of time, frustration, and money if you don't like it.

Its got spunk and beauty. But most of all, its Rayman!

All hail the return of Rayman. I picked this game up, as well as Super Mario Advance, when i picked up the GBA on launch morning. I popped in Mario first (it just seemed like the right thing to do) and loved it. When I finally took it out to play Rayman, I could'nt believe my eyes! Playstation grafix on a handheald! It has the most magnificent color of all handhelds. A few days later, I had beaten Mario (God bless his soul) and was still working on Rayman. In fact, I was only 17% done not to mention I played it more than Mario. A great challange, great grafix...a great game! A MUST HAVE GBA TITLE!!!

The Best Game

This is the best game. The graphics are great. If you like Donkey Kong you will love Rayman. The only way it could get any better was if they made the characters talk.

Too hard --

This game is intended for kids, but adults will be challenged with trying to stay alive. Graphics are great, but there are too many cliffs where if you go the wrong way you die. After going over about 10 times you just want to quit. Not recommended.
