An OK game

This game is ok. I got it with my xbox and thought it was really good. YOu are always in a vehicle and very few times are you a jedi. The storyline isn't bad but it is hard. The multiplayer is pretty good. but with some vehicles, even if you aim a bit off, a blind guess sometimes destroys the enemy. the graphics arent spectacular but passable. Doing the academy thing was pretty fun even though it gets soooooo hard that me an my freinds hav to hide in caves from the enemies.

Was expecting more

This game is awesome and if you type in LORD OF SITH as a cheat you get some cool stuff. If this was such a bad game then why did Xbox put it with it's system when you by it. Anyway this game was fun and also if you buy it with Battle Front (which in my opinion is the best star wars game for xbox) you get a great deal!

Fun

Good graphics, and tons of action. This game is a little challenging, but it wouldn't be any fun if were too easy! Me and my 8 year-old son both enjoy it.

you are but a mere republic soldier who is thrown into a very big melee style war situation.its very intense and very fast paced.the best advice i can give is just bail behind anything quick and only pop out when youre sure youll kill an enemy.the object is to gain flags at other enemy posts thus taking them over.after much ado,you may win the war.then you realize youve won but one battle.you see a very large map and it shows the big picture of the war.DONT BE DISCOURAGED!the longest i lasted was 10 minutes and was hiding or in a machine the whole time.my average was closer to 1:30.its great fun if you like combat like in risk but with a visual video game to watch for the real feel.

This game is ok. The game is way to short and it is to easy if you put it on easy and is way to hard when you put it on hard. The controls are a little wired. The games grafics are good when you are in a velical they are not when your a person. The game is good but the control and the difficalty kind of mess it up.

Scale of 1-5

Grafics 3

control 2

We got this game and Tetris Worlds for free with the purchase of our xbox system. The graphics are great just like the movies and its actually a lot of fun. Its not really my type of game but i do like to play it occassionally. However, my husband really likes this game. Its one of his favorites, so it may be more of a guy game! I would suggest renting it first though before buying it unless like in our case it was one of the free games with the system.
Overall a good game.

I really can't recommend this.

I've been a gamer since about 1988, and I've played a few Star Wars games over the years. If this hadn't come with my Xbox when I got it in December last year, I'm telling you that there'd be no way it would be allowed in my home. It's -that- terrible. Even Super Return of the Jedi for SNES is better than this thing, and that one was probably in the bottom 5 SW games. Heck, even Shadows of the Empire for the 64 has a better Star Wars quality to it. That at least had elements from the movies thrown in.

First of all, look at the price. It's more than Knights of the Old Republic for some reason, and KotOR is the single best SW game to date. I don't understand that at all. Clone Wars doesn't have a whole lot going for it in the replay area unless you have Xbox Live. The single player mode is highly repetitive and just becomes a chore to finish. Here's what goes on in the main game- you control Obi-Wan, Anakin or Mace, and mostly pilot ships in various terrains, protecting other ships or taking out each opposing force. And really, I can't use any other word than "boring" here, becuase that's all it was the first few hours I played it. If there's anything good about the piloting sections, it's that the graphics are above average, and the framerate doesn't suffer that much. There is a lot of jaggy-ness going on though, which is uncalled for in an Xbox game. Much less a port from the ps2/GC versions.

Then, there are the 3rd person "action" portions. These are a total joke. The first time you take control of the actual character is when you're Mace and go to shut down a droid control center. Mace painfully staggers through the level with horrible controls, and changing direction takes at least 2 seconds just to make a right or left turn. Imagine how MegaMan looked on the cover for the first NES game, and that's exactly how Mace plays. And guess what. You can't jump to avoid blasters or anything. All you can do is use Force Push, which has the saddest range of anything I've seen, blindly swing your lightsaber around, or throw it...leaving yourself open to attacks while you wait 10 seconds for the stupid thing to come back to you. And here Mace is supposed to be on the same level as Yoda as far as a Jedi goes. 'kinda hard to believe after this. It made me wonder if any other the other characters would be as bad. You have my word, they are.

Like I said about the graphics, there isn't much slowdown unless there are tons of enemies/ships on screen. And even then, you can adjust the camera to set it back to normal. Character models are blocky, and environments are pretty bare. There's also a feature that lets you set the screen to fullscreen or widescreen. This was a surprise. More games should include a feature like this to make the most of gamers' entertainment systems. There isn't a whole lot else to say here.

The music is what you'd expect in the SW universe. The usual orchastrated tracks carry the game and boost this thing from 2 stars overall to 3. Sound effects sound exactly like they did in the movies. But voices are whole new story. Obviously, the actors from the movies didn't take part in the game. Mace sounds a lot like Ice Cube for some reason, and Anakin sound even more painful/pubertyish than in Episode 2. Obi-Wan's the only one that gets even the slightest bit of justice in the vocal department. Extras ended up sounding better than the main guys. Sad.

I guess if you're a die-hard SW fan and like the new trilogy, you'll get into this. It's mostly planetary ship combat, which probably is a little fun on Live. But if you want a SW game that actually has the feel of the movies, get Knights of the Old Republic instead. This is more of just a mission game with the SW characters and ships slapped on it.

great multiplayer

THe main part of this game is ok and I really enjoyed it. The multiplayer conquest is hands down one of the best multiplayer games I have ever played. It supports up to four players playing in any combination of teams you want. What I love most about it is the need for serious strategy, steady hands, and reflexes to win.

Good Star Wars game!

THis is a good star wars game. Fans should buy it, but people who don't like s-wars should rent first. THe single player is good and the multiplayer is awsome! My favorite multiplayer is conquest, where you must take over factories, build an army, and destroy the opponent's base. There is also duel and many others. The graphics are superb, and the sounds are awsome.

Pros:

1. good music
2. superb graphics
3. great sound
4. very good gameplay
5. multiplayer is very very fun
6. no slowdown

Cons:

1. people who don't know alot about star wars should rent or stay away

Although the multiplayer is fantastic, i heard x-box live is better. i don't have live yet, but if multiplayer is this good, then this must be one of the best live games. Anyone who likes star wars should buy this game.
