allright.. i have never written a review here, nor did i ever actually plan to but i felt for the sake of all humanity that i should. this was just about the worst.. cheesiest game i have ever played. the one player sucked.. the multi player sucked.. the live play sucked. i honestly wouldnt even cross the street to take a dump on this game. thats how bad it is. dont waste your money.. its not even worth renting. this game alone brought me to the point where i never want to play another star wars game again. just because it has live support, it doesnt mean it saves it from being a huge piece of cow dung. you want great live games.. phantasy star and return to castle wolfenstein are your best bet. those games alone have kept my attention for the past few months straight. i dont really even need anything else. but as for this game.. well.. i would avoid this game like it was the plague at all costs.

This game is being given away, that should say enough.....

Well well well, SW:Clown-i mean Clone wars, the game for XBOX with those great commercials. Well i BORROWED this game from a friend who got it free with his Xbox, so i expected something like that of Jet Set Radio Future, a basicaly fair game to just give someone a taste of the power of the the Xbox, but no....JSRF is ten time that of SW:CW, yes i said ten times.... THIS GAME IS JUST ANOTHER MOVIE BASED TRAVISTY to befall the star wars univers.....I, to tell you the truth, honestly hate this game, let me tell you why:

1:gameplay: This game is one of those various chore games where you play in vehicle, on foot, and ect... you must complete various annoying tasks that will bring your nerves to near destruction, annoying annoying gameplay...especialy on foot...

2: story: THE STORY SUCKS A**, i mean it, it is just another pointless mission instead of plot(which is always a bad thing, you cannot make a great game that is mission based unless it is a military sim{mech assault, rainbow six, ghost recon}.). The voice acting is terrible, i mean really, if Hayden Christian wasnt bad enough, now we have people trying to voice act him, it didnt even sound like, him((knowing my luck it is him voice acting, boy i would feel like an idiot)), nor did the others sound the same.

3:graphics: Bland, terrible representations of the Star Wars univers....cut scenes are ugly and full of chop, ect.......i could go on and on, but why.......

IF you WANT TO SEE WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT, I HOPE FOR YOU SAKE A FRIEND OF YOURS BOUGHT IT AND YOU CAN BORROW IT, BUT IF NOT, RENT IT, YOU ARE SURE TO HATE IT......

as a closing statement i belive that the person/persons responsible should be shot.......no, not really.....just punished..........Play KOTOR instead......

Good enough to rent, but not to buy

The game Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (SWAC) picks up where Star Wars Episode 2 left off - A massive battle filled with droids and clones and jedi. The story goes on from there to tell of the unearthing of a Sith artifact that could destroy the Republic.

In the game, you play as Obi Wan, Anikin, or Mace (Samuel Jackson). There are a variety of vehicles to pilot: hover tanks, land-walkers, droid tanks, speeders, and assault ships. And while all of that may sound like a lot - the game actually feels pretty constricted. Through most of the game, you're doing the same three things: straffing, firing missles, and occasionally zooming in on targets. (The exception being on 2 missions where the emphasis is on racing in your speeder, which is pretty cool).

Although the cutscenes are pretty nice, the rest of the graphics are sub-par. The sound is pretty much straight from the movie, but you'll get annoyed at hearing blasters all the time.

This game is a fun little distraction. I beat it in about two days on the medium setting - which is not a long time at all. So if you're a big Star Wars fan, check out this game at your videostore and save your money for a better game.

This game has absolutely NO replay value. There's nothing more to do after you beat it, unless you count the XBox Live version, which you shouldn't, because that itself is pretty bad. You are able to unlock a few things, like new multiplayer stages, videos, and a "cd player" (songs from the game, classical music mostly). The videos are just the ones from the game though, and although they're XBox quality, they're really not worth it unless you're some extremely hardcore Star Wars fan and can't miss out on the storyline. If that's the case, I feel for ya. If not, get a different game, or don't blame me if you find yourself trying to sell it right after you beat it (which doesn't take long at all.)

Not what I was hoping for

Me and another friend were a little tired of playing Halo online, and needed something different to play. Nothing I've found so far has been able to beat Halo. I saw this game, and was interested because it was a Star Wars game. The back said that it was multiplayer, so I picked it up. I soon learned that multiplayer doesn't mean that me and my friend can play this game together on a split screen. There were a couple of multiplayer games we could, but not through the story mode, and not online. Why go through the trouble to put just a couple of multiplayer arena's on this, and not make the whole game 2 player compatible?

So, I tried it online to see how it played. I was not impressed by it. It seemed mostly that the person that could hit the fire button the fastest was the winner. No real strategy. Seemed bland, and seemed to be missing something. It was the same feeling I had when playing MechWarrior online. It was fun the first couple of games, but just had no substance. I've probably played over a thousand games of Halo online, and I still find it to be a fun experience. At least you have to think and use strategy a little.

As for the story mode. It was pretty [bad] also. The graphics seemed ok, but the voice acting was pretty bad. Also, I could have really seemed to care less for the story. The whole game just couldn't hold my interest. Really wish I would have waited for it to become a bargain game before I bought it.

Lucasarts' first mess up...

Ugg, what can I say thats good about this game? Not much I'm afraid. The game play is weak and dull. The story is weak and dull. The multiplayer is weak and dull. The graphics are OK, but the cutscenes are horrible. The voices are "fakey" plus the dilouge is weak. The multiplayer is basicly whoever can fire rockets the fastest, wins. Very boring.

Gameplay: 3/10
Graphics: 4/10
Multiplayer: 2/10
Sound: 4/10
Overall: 4/10

I am very disapointed with Lucasarts this time...

gets kinda boring

okay, this game (sadly) can amuse you for a couple of hours each day for about a week. then, boredom strikes. it's pretty easy and well...gets old. plus, there are no good cheats for it on the net. i give this game a well deserved 2 stars because even though it may seem fun for about 45 seconds...it gets frustrating and boring. don't buy this game unless you are a hardcore star wars fan, and if you LOVE driving around in a cruddy vehicle. the only reason i got this game is because it came with the XBOX when i got the XBOX. so, if your thinking of buying it, and you don't really LOVE star wars...click "back"
the main problem with this game is that it is mostly the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

graphics are semi-good
gameplay gets old but still semi-good

so in conclusion...dont buy this thinking you will like it for more than a two-week period or two.

um...that's all.

cheese.

Personaly I would buy battle front 1 and 2.

I acquired this game free with the purchase of a new Xbox to replace one that died on me. I wasn't expecting much due to some pretty negative reviews trashing the repetitive gameplay and ho-hum graphics. So I was surprised when I popped it in and after playing for a little bit discovered I was actually having a lot of fun.

The game mainly involves piloting various modes of transport -- a hover tank, an aerial gunship, a speeder, even a two-legged beast of some sort -- and blasting any enemies that get in your way. It is fast-paced but satisfying to watch your targeting reticle bob around the screen before locking on to a soon-to-be doomed enemy and dispatching them will a volley of laser fire or perhaps a well-placed missile. There area also times when you will play a Jedi (Mace, Annakin, etc) on the ground. While these bits got slagged off by some gaming press, I found them to be pretty enjoyable. Your repertoire of tricks include throwing the light saber like a boomerang to take out far-away foes, doing acrobatic flips and jumps to avoid enemy fire, and taking out whole groups of evil goons with a blast of the Force from your outstretched hand.

The graphics are not eyepoppingly stunning, but they are solid and definitely convey the feeling of being in the Star Wars world. In the scenes where you fly the Jedi gunship, you can see scores of soldiers and droids blasting it below you, giving you the sense that you are part of a larger battle. I'm not a die-hard SW fan, but I did grow up on the movies and find the game does a decent job of filling in some of the events following the end of the "Attack of the Clones" movie.

Initially I was going to give this game four stars, but I gave games like "Halo" and "Project Gotham Racing" four stars, and this game, while fun, honestly isn't on the same level as those heavyweights. So it only gets three stars, but don't let that stop you from just having a good time in the Clone Wars.
