Lots of fun

I'm not a hardcore gamer but when I got the XBox 360 for my husband as a birthday/anniversary/Christmas gift I became interested in trying a few games. Ultimate Alliance came free with the XBox. After I saw my husband play it, I decided to try it. I liked the fact that you have several characters on your team & can change them out as needed. I had always enjoyed watching the X-Men animated series, as a kid, as well as several other Superhero shows. This game reignited my interest in them & I have started watching their re-runs on TV.
The game's animations are very good & the story line is interesting & entertaining. The game isn't hard to get the hang of & moves at a good pace. My husband is constantly on the Xbox, now, so I rarely get the chance to play. I'm seriously thinking about getting the PC version, so I can play whenever I want.

best rpg I ever played

First off, the storyline is awesome. Not like some games where you go on missions and start hammering away. For instance on the first mission the baddies attack it as a diversion so they can blow a different joint. Moving on,the attacks for the characters are absolutely fab I like the level up system it is great. The punchlines are not horrid like Spider Man FOF yet they are not overly long and dreary. The bad news is the ultimate mastermind ( Docter Doom) is to easy even on hard difficulty!! Also the Silver Surfer is too hard to unlock. The graphics are great. The bad points are worth it because everything else is lovely.

Definatley a fun game.

This game is very fun and entertaining, all the while presenting you with new challenges throughout the game. If you enjoyed X-men legends on the other consoles, then you will like this game. The only difference is this game is very easy and that one wasn't. The graphics are nice and are different than most of the games you will play, has a cartoony feel to it. The story is pretty simple and easy to follow. The game also has nice legnth, lasting an easy 12 hours of gameplay. It begins to grow tiresome towards the end though. To me it would have been better if the missions were longer and there were less of them.

THIS IS NOT HALO 3, GEARS, or any of the other major platformers. This game isn't in that league but is certainly worth checking out. It came free with my X-box 360, so I was pleasently suprised. The other game Forza Motorsport is also not that bad. Its awesome getting free stuff I might add. All in all, if your a fan of the series like I am or just enjoy team based games, then this game I would reccomend.
Overall 7.5-8.0

I'm on my 3rd playthrough, and not just because I want all of the achievements for Xbox Live. I played the first time with the original Fantastic Four and the second time with the New Fantastic Four. This time, I'm using an all female power squad consisting of Storm, Invisible Woman, Storm and Ms Marvel. Since I unlocked all of the costumes in the first play, and since all unlocked items carry over, and also since playing the Hard mode allows you to start with whomever you wish in whatever costumes you wish with whatever powers and items you had at the end of Normal mode, I'm well set for play three. Even playing three times is not really repetitive because things change with the difficulty level you choose. One tip, you cannot go from Easy to Hard without playing Normal. I found that out the hard way, though it is logical to think that is the way it is. I've heard there are differences in Hard vs Normal, I'm looking forward to finding out. Judging by the first boss, who was a cakewalk before and this time KO'd half my team, I'm going to need to adjust my strategy this time around.

Best multi-player game yet

If you enjoy Marvel games, you'll love this one. The characters have awesome moves and powers. You can mix-n-match your team of 4.

This game is actually a lot more fun then I thought it was originally going to be. I bought it for my brother for Christmas and recently I've played the game co-op with him. The good thing about this game is that if one of your team members dies then you get switched to another one. But, if all of your team members die then you'll start over from the last save point.

There are bonuses if you set up pre-set teams in the game. The game will automatically add extra traits to your team. However, you can set up your own team and build up these traits on your own. There are many heroes to choose from.

So, if you like Marvel comics then this game is for you.

it is what it is

If you've played X-Men Legends, then you already know exactly how you'll feel about this game, as it is basically the same with a new coat of paint. That is, if playing with all these Marvel characters is exciting for you, then go for it--but frankly, this is basically a glorified platform or arcade game, where you move around a maze and smash things and pick up coins like you were Sonic the Hedgehog. That can be fun--but expect little more, as this is clearly not next-generation gaming. The character upgrade system is needlessly complex, and often the powers are redundant (you probably don't need twelve different ways to punch something). And perhaps most glaringly irritating about this game is the absolutely horrendous voice acting and overall story. This thing is covered in cheese, and not in a good way. I think the developers of this game really need to move on to a new way of looking at video games.

Gets Boring Fast

the idea of this game is great. the graphics are great. it's just not the type of game that has you sitting down and playing it 3 hours straight. it gets boring. it has all of these great heroes in it, which they could use to make a game that you can actually just play that person and have lots of fun. just save your money to buy something that is not so boring after 3 hours. one of the halo games maybe or something like that.

This game absolutely rocks, it's been the biggest fun since I bought my XBOX 360, I even bought a 3rd controller so that both my brothers could beat the game with me. The number of Marvel Characters is huge and NPC's keep poping up facts about the Marvel Universe that I either didn't know or had forgotten. Unlockable comic book covers bring back memories of my time as a hardcore fanboy.

On the downside, the graphics could have been better, but the simple yet effective game play and great story more than make up for it. Also, the special attacks look amazing and the alternate costumes make it worthwhile to play through the training missions. Content download is supported, adding Venom, Dr. Doom, Magneto, Sabertooth, Hulk, Hawkeye, Cyclops and Nightcrawler to the mix. I wish Dr. Doom and Cyclop's alternate outfits where better but it still is a great game.

Finally. A Marvel game as big as the Mythos.

One of the best games for the XBOX 360, Marvel Ultimate Alliance manages to cram as much comic-book goodness into a single game as any has before it. If you've played the X-Men Legends games, then you know what to expect here, a huge roster of Marvel heroes with their signature powers and alternative forms to boot. Everyone from heavy hitters Thor and Spiderman as here, as well as some less than top-tier characters (Blade, Luke Cage, Elektra, etc.). The inclusion of Iron Man was key for me, as he's my favorite Marvel hero, and one of the more useful characters in the game.

The game controls well, and looks particularly good on the 360, as it takes advantage of the systems advanced lighting and texture capabilities. The frame rate is constant and fluid, and there's little you won't like here. The camera angles can be tough to deal with at times, but compared to some other versions (Wii...ugh), this one is a pleasure.

This is easily one of the most playable (and replayable) titles on the XBOX 360. With a ton of unlockable content (and more that you can download from XBOX Live), and some of the better multiplayer available (competitive and co-op), this one will keep you busy for a good while, and keep a smile on your face all the while. Excelsior!
