The game doesn't support my graphics card (intel extreme graphics). The game lists this limitation but the web site doesn't.

Moving/mobility character is AWFUL

I really have enjoyed the storyline BUT simply moving the character around and interacting with and within environment is difficult at best on this PC game. It might be easier to play if played in a different format- Xbox or PS2 but NOT PC version. I got sooooo frustrated with not being able to easily move the character that I had to stop playing the game. I guess I am used to the fluidity of motion that comes with playing other PC adventure games such as Nancy Drew.

not as good as the first one

The game is not as difficult and not as challenging as the first one. If you're interested in the story and knowing what really happened to April then you should really buy this one.

If it ain't broke, why fix it?

Look.. I loved the Longest Journey and waited years for this sequel. And like one of my past favorites "King's Quest" the powers that be had to go and screw up the new release by adding a "fighting element". Dreamfall is not as extreme a change as King's Quest, but unnecessary none the less.

Once you manage to get past all that it was an awesome game

A Masterpiece

Dreamfall the Longest Journey is a masterpiece of interactive storytelling and adventure gaming. While playing it I laughed and cried. If you have the patience to let a masterful told story unfold, buy it.

The level of detail in the game is amazing. Entire places were created for a mere ten seconds of cut scene. Never have I seen game with such beautiful and different architecture. Some parts of the game world are a technological wonder zone bounding with a cool technological edge. While other ooze the coldness of the middle ages. The system requirements were quite high when this game was released, but eventually these won't pose much of a problem as this game age.

The controls are a little hard at first but once you get use to them they get intuitive. The prequel was a 2d point and click adventure and this product is makes the transition to 3d adventure in an interesting, non-complicated way with a minimum of graphical interface.

Without spoiling the plot, the game world themes of massive biological experimentation, corporate abuse, occupation by an empire, and religious extremism are very mature, and comment on real life events as well as any fiction can. And the development of the protagonists will amaze you in overpowering ways that are triumphal, and tragic.

Very simply, the game is brilliant and amazing.
If you want to go on a long adventure journey you won't be disappointed.

For anyone interested in this video game check out the specifications first. The video card requirements are very specific. If you have a video card that is on the motherboard, they won't provide support, although if it is a desktop you can probably upgrade if you need to. If you have a laptop, it is far less likely this is possible, and a lot of laptops(especially cheaper laptops) do not support this game.

I loved this game. I am not that easily entertained, but this one is a true stunner.

Best Story In A Game Since KOTOR

I finished Dreamfall up last night. Wow, I loved the ending as well as the rest of the story.

It took me just over 13 hours to finish, and I enjoyed every second of it. I didn't find the sneaking around to be too bad actually, but it certainly wasn't great. The combat was passable, but again it wasn't great. The puzzles were easy, but I didn't mind because it kept the game flowing at a good pace for me. The story and the characters kept me hooked and I would recommend the game to anyone who likes a good story.

I actually had (just a tiny bit) more fun playing this than I have had with Oblivion, and I really have enjoyed my 30 hours with that. Which one is a better game? The gameplay certainly isn't as fleshed out in Dreamfall, the code behind it isn't nearly as complicated as Oblivion, the world isn't as large and not nearly as open. But I play games to be drawn into the world and to have fun and Dreamfall eeked it out in that category for me.
It may not be the best game out there, and it certainly isn't the game of the year, but it may be the most fun I will have with a game all year. It beat out anything I played last year, that's for sure.

Funcom has lost its touch for making good games. Dreamfall is a sad follow up to The Longest Journey. The gameplay is boring, the graphics is ok, the music is ok, it has limited content.

Not worth your money.
