Been Playnig Since beta and now the leader of a 700+ member guild on the Galileo Galaxy (the blackhawks) - This game gets better all the time - exciting quests, amazing rewards and the cameraderie of a great guild. Grab it today! and if you do - look us up on blackhawksguild.com

What a splendid game this could have been. Unfortunately, it lacks any semblence of depth either in storyline, quests, or game mechanics.

Brutally repetitive with only 9 Race/Class combinations, it quickly becomes the same old story, same old song and dance.

Communication is kludgy and onerous, therefore there really isn't much of it going on. This lends to a feeling of isolation, even when a member of a guild.

Many of the quest dialogues are cartoonish, not campy or funny, but just plain Hannah-Barbera dumb. This makes it very hard to take the game seriously, and makes what could have been a very sweet RPG seem like some of the dorkier home-brewed ANSI games in the old DOS Bulletin Board days.

If you don't mind long periods of boredom travelling, punctuated with extremely low-reward encounters with only the most simplistic tactical options, then speaking to Saturday morning cartoons dressed in military garb, maybe you'll like this game.

This isn't "Wing Commander" or anything even close. It's a pale facsimile, a redundant recursion into extremely tedious boredom.

Two joysticks down on this dog, I'm sad to say.

being a beta tester for the last month or more (part of my life i shall never retrieve) i was addicted. When i first started playing there was fun to be had. After 2 player wipes it seems no so anymore, certain aspects of the game have made it generally harder to get ahead and there is a cap on to how much you can achieve. in two weeks you can easily get one character halfway to his maximum level. There are also many stability issues, not sure if they are being addressed , plus a side note the servers store the information of your character so if you get disconnected your player will still be "in game" till the servers note you are gone. Seems they use a college T1 server for this game at times. if you dont like long load times and short screen freezes(due to lag) i would suggest staying away from this game.
Personally i feel that if the stability issues are not cured this game isnt worth the asking price, and after my free run of it is over i will not continue. with every beta patch, it gets more boring and alot harder to level up.
As for the RPG side of this game they have stated that this is not a SKILL based game, meaning it does not rely on ones ability to control a ship and aim a weapon, which it doesnt, this game offers equality to all that play, meaning the only way to be better than your buddy is to have better weapons/shields/engines/devices. Skill or EHC (eye hand coord) have no role in this game.Flying your ship is pretty much mindless, same goes for combat, target-autofollow-hope you kill it before it kills you. there are good points to the game but not $$$ a month worth, of course youll only have to spend that for 3 months or less before you get bored with the game.

Feels like double dipping

I enjoyed playing the game. But I didn't like paying [money] for the game and another [money] a month to play the game. It's to much like double dipping. To play the game for one year it will cost over [money] Then add in the cost of your monthly ISP X 12 That's outrageous. Give us the game for free or give us free access. I'll stick with Diablo 2 for my online gaming.

I haven't played this game but I've read the reviews from other gamers and I feel that this game is just a ploy to get the space war fans first before Star Wars Galaxies comes out, which from the reviews looks to be incredible and will definatly lay this game to waste. SWG took the cake at the game show 1st place. I think anyone concidering buying this game should think twice and read the reviews for Star Wars Galaxies and compare them to this game reviews and see for yourself. Save your pennies... its only around the corner.

Pre order -- Warning!

Warning! The registration code which comes with the pre-order beta test offer does not work. (You only find this out after one 800mb and one 300mb download).

The support phone numbers listed to resolve this problem are either busy, or disconnect you after following the voice menu.

Dont buy this product for the "play now" offer -- it does not currently work, and support is not available.

GREAT game!

I'm not really sure if the people who have given this game a bad review were just looking for a more action oriented game, as opposed to RPG and strategy, or what... but I highly disagree with what they're saying. This game is GREAT fun! And while I can see that maybe it might get boring after awhile, it will surely be a long time before that happens. I would recommend this for people who are looking for a MMORPG that has more strategy in it than the norm. You don't just run around and shoot things, you go on missions, collect and sell items, kill sci-fi monsters, form alliances, etc. etc. etc..

You can have up to five characters at a time on your account, and you can pick between six classes... everything from Tradesman to Warrior. The graphics are beautiful. Yes, the travelling can get sort of boring, but I look at it as a time where I can have a little break... which I prefer to the online games where you get no break at all unless you end the game! The lack of PvP only makes this game better for me. I'm free to fly around and explore the galazy without having to worry about some 12 year old that has his fun by mercilessly shooting up the other players.

If you're interested in giving it a try before you buy, check out www.enb.com and look for the information on their free demo. You can download it at file planet (hefty download, over a gigabyte)... it's the full game, though, and you get a registration code that allows you to play for free for 5 days.

A game that has increased in game depth hugely
A game that is now far more stable than most MMO games
A game with a 2-5 year storyline planned out!!

A world wide community where charcters mainly gain by grouping together.

If you dont like interacting with people dont buy a MMO game.

If you do like people and enjoy interacting with different cultures in a beautiful space backdrop - click the buy button.

This is a wounderful game, lot of caracter and mission. But we have to pay monthly, this is the only bad things. If it dont care to pay each month, it's a must-have game
