Of course, it was a good game, fun, and even addictive. Some interesting improvements include the more advanced AI of the enemies than was the case in the first "Delta Force". It's also more realistic than the first one: i.e. hiding inside a canvas tent won't protect you from the cannon fire from a Hind. Using several parachute sequences made it much more enjoyable and interesting. A big problem, however, was that when you looked at your GPS map, you could still move you man but you couldn't turn his direction. This proved to be a major irritation all throughout gameplay. Furthermore, inclusion of a shotgun was nothing but absurd, unrealistic, and totally unnecessary. Also, the manual and Help screens are very unclear on how to climb down ladders. As the heading says, it was good, but by fixing only a few minor details they could have made it a lot better.

This game rocks!!!!!!

I would sugjest tha you buy this game because it has the coolest graphics. It is cool when you use cheats because you can go up in guys faces and kill them. My favorite cheat is "still life" when you type in this code you will turn invinceble. It is cool because you can pick what ever level you would like to start on. You don't have to start on level one and go up. If you are looking for a game with action and violence you should buy delta force 2.

Standard-setting thinking shooter

DF2 is probably the banner game for thinking shooters, it's a real shame that DF - Land Warrior was continued into the "multi-character" dimension, because that really isn't the path of the best growth for the game. The Voxelspace engine works fine, but it is definitely pixelated, I highly recommend setting binoculars on a quick button, so that you can tuck down and get a good long view. The weapon selection is ample, I've never used some of them, and I've completed the whole game. This game isn't about just shooting... there are missions where the best thing you can do is stay quiet and stay stealthy. The AI is not as good as it could be, and some of the features (capturing enemy weapons) are advertised, but none of the missions include them. This game and DF1, with some tweaks in AI, and picture quality, could really be top-notch games. All in all, a good solid thinking shooter. I play again and again. btw - in reference to the "cheaters and lag" of another reviewer... The lag you can get over by aiming ahead of your enemies, and there are multiplayer rooms that boot cheaters.

This company has a site on the Net where you can play other teams/players. Just like when I was a young kid (wife thinks I still am)the local guys would get together and play war. Now we still can, with great graphics, great games on line. Online War games very and are not mastered by a few, making it fun for the new players well as expert players.

Multiplayer is strength of game!!!

DF2 is pretty primitive as detail, graphics and AI go. Really, quite lagging behind plenty of other entrants in the FPS arena. Missions are relatively simple and straightforward and most accomplished gamers will breeze through the single player missions and campaigns no problem. The fun begins on Novalogics' internet site for multiplayer...day and night, a smorgasbord of games to enter, custom designed maps being played on- quite addictive!! I own RTCW, Op Flashpoint, Medal of Honor and plenty of other "latest" games but raw ol' DF2 is still the game in my system at 2AM, letting me snipe some fella playing in the Netherlands...it's a hoot!!! Simply put, load it, play it, dial up and your playin against 16 other junkies. Love it!!

I really enjoyed this game but it was over before I could really enjoy it. Very limited number of missions in the storyline and the individula missions are the same as the story.

Delta Force 2 a good purchase for those bored with Rainbow 6

Delta Force 2 is, in my opinion, the best of the DF-series. For those who have played the original, DF2 has numerous features its predecessor was lacking. Many structures, such as storage tanks and armories, are destructable, and cause a large fireball when hit by a LAW rocket or fragmentation grenade. Speaking of frag grenades, DF2 has two types: impact or delayed-detonation. This will be a welcome change for those who blew themselves to pieces when their impact-fused grenades landed short of their target. Numerous weapons have been added, including two underwater "guns" and a 12-gauge shotgun mounted on an M4 carbine. The levels are well done; my favorite is one where after designating targets on the opposite side of a river for artillery strikes, the player "must" commandeer a deserted gunboat, take it across the river, and mop-up the remaining enemy forces. But DF2 does have some flaws. The game still uses the same, unattractive Voxel graphics its predecessor had. Direct3D support is promised, but when activated, it only worsens the quality of the graphics. The game has severe clipping problems, and players will often find parts of their avatar's body "ghosting" through apparently solid objects. The box promises the ability to "terrorize the terrorists with...fixed machine gun and grenade-launcher emplacements", but they are apparently impossible to use, and very hard to find. Aside from these niggling flaws, DF2 is money well spent for the action gamer looking for a quick-fix!

Very good first person action game!

When i first tried this i was impressed with some of the effects, realism and overall gameplay. Unfortantly there isnt a huge variety of weapons. But the gear rules! I recomend starting with the quick missions before going to a full campainge since it seems like the difficulty level rises alot. Many of the missions include hostage rescue, intercept convoy and destroy it, eliminate hostile forces, infiltrate enemy base, caapture people stuff like that. FOr many of the missions you can play as a sniper since there are 2 nice sniper rifles int he game but its not always possible. I find it difficult to go down latters/stairways since it always seems to lump but i believe a small update fixes that. Graphics are well done and some of the things you can do are cool like blow off the top of trees and try to crush bad guys. One of my fav effects are that you have good guys known as alpha and charlie teams that talk on a radio.
I never liked first person shooter games untill i got this so give it a try

Great Game, Excellent Sound

Delta Force is a very good game. It's gameplay is extremely fun, and it has a short learning curve. Multiplayer is also extremely fun, and I've had no trouble participating on the Novaworld Network. The sound is just plain wonderful, you litteraly don't need to look at the screen to see whether a bullet just flew past your right or left side. The only downside is the graphics, and they're still okay. It's not Rainbow Six quality, but 800x600 mode is fairly descent. The gameplay is probably the real reason why the game is so addictive, if you want something more complex then a shoot 'em up game, and a little downsized from the extreme complexity of Rainbox Six, this is your game.
