Puts the Fun in Contract Killing (sadistic huh?)

Let me ask you all one question...Is it a cool game if you can strangle someone with a piano wire, drag them into a sewage drain, and finally steal their clothes and put them on yourself? VERY COOL! The only thing you will have to get use to is the controls because in Hitman: Codename 47, they used the Num-Pad as the main "control center". Sure you can change the controls around to your liking but it would be best if you kept them as is because you will regret it otherwise. Here is what I am running Hitman: Codename 47 on...550Mhz, Voodoo3 Video Card, 196Mb Ram...It runs beautifully and the graphics are very nice. For the best out of this game I suggest...atleast a 700Mhz, Voodoo5 OR nVidia GeForce Ultra 2 Video Card, and atleast 196mb Ram...Keep in mind that is for AWESOME gameplay and it will run on much less. Great Action, Great Strategy, Great Game...A must buy is my suggestion. Good luck shopping/browsing!

I'll trade you my sniper rifle for a joystick...

Visually, the game is very well done and the concepts behind it are intriguing. The biggest problem is the cumbersome keyboard controls that had me begging for the game to be joystick compatible. It's a fun game and there are parts that will have you excited, but overall it could have been a much better experience with better controls.

BUY IT BECAUSE...

First: The game is the perfect Accion/Strategy game I've ever seen! It has Strategy, you have think a lot! Yes it will burn your brain out! You must have a good hand control too, because you have to wear big killer guns! And it takes practice. Second: The game is a perfect 3D game, It has no mistakes like others, and you can learn a lot from it! Like how to survive! Third: First and Second are enough!

I bought the game and Its Amazing! Belive me. Have a nice shop!

Good but could have been better.

This game has a simply cool premise that needed some more game design than it got. The only real faw is that the missions are very hard with out more information at hand BEFORE you luanch the mission. The map you are given is only a over head view with nothing important marked. You would think an assasin would look over the area before jumping in. As such the only way you will learn is by replaying the missions- A LOT. With out in-game saves this get old fast, the fun goes down the toilet.

But the game does offer some good graphics and an interesting story. The guns are well done and the AI is good enough. This is a must have if you like thinking shooters, but if you do not have the time or patients. You get to do a lot of cool stuff, like car bombs and sneeking around dressed as a enemy. This alone is fun and almost makes up for the lack of information you need to pull it off in a few tries.

Hitman: Right on Target!

Hitman is without a doubt a great game. It is different, well made with an original engine and has some sweet graphics that present its strategic and smart gameplay. First off the weapons are the best I have ever seen in a game, because of how they work, feel and sound. You get to use more weapons than I can write in this review, and you have to use them wisely. The best part of this game is that you can't shoot first and ask questions later (well you can but you will soon most likely regret it) and that you get to hunt and stalk your targets. The only cons are that it doesn't have a "in game" save feature (which I think will be added in its first patch) and there is no multiplier which is a shame because the game has beautiful graphics and great melee battles. But overall if you buy this game you will not regret it.

better than SOF

I have only played the demo...but this game is hella cool...the resturant mission (only one available in the demo) is extremely hard...i have completed it many times...but i fail it because i bring to much attention to myself...apparently thr uzi isnt the best weapon to use for stealth...anyways...a great game overall...my favorite right now...better than any FPS on the market...in every area...graphics are comparable to SOF, with game play much better, still a fairly linear plot tho...but...oh well...some bugs do plague the game...but all games have idiosyncracies (sp)...

Buy Deus Ex

After purchasing Deux Ex and falling in love with that game, I looked within the Eidos family to find another FPS with the same kind of action and functionality as Deus Ex, after reading many good reviews on Hitman I decided to give it a day in court. I just want to say that Hitman is a satisfying game in its own right, but when compared to Soldier of Fortune and Deus Ex it simply can't hold its water. So I urge you to give Deus Ex a try, and give Hitman a go only if you have a day to spare to fly through it.

Sad... so, so sad

The idea that you are a hitman who is hired to kill VIP's is really cool. Unfortunately for us, this game doesn't deliver that. You read the back of the box and visit the web site and you start to think that this is going to be an awesome game. Then you go to your local software store, buy the game, come home and install it and commense to play the game. Within the first 5 minutes of playing, you realize that you just wasted a good 50 or so dollars. The gameplay is smooth.... at times. The majority of the time it's jumpy and skippy. The camera angles suck. The graphics are very well done, but that's about the only thing to commend this game for. Perhaps they should've re-thought the idea of making this game in a 3rd person view. All-in-all, this game doesn't live up to the back of it's box. Don't waste your money!!!

I thought that I was going mad...............

..Until I read Rob Matthews' review of this game. I am also stuck on the training mission. I never got past it since I would go up the elevator, shoot a guard and then wind up at the beginning. This is a bug to end all bugs. It felt like I was in that Star Trek episode where they kept repeating the same day over and over again.

I had high hopes for this game...

Very entertaining game, great replay value, minor glitches

This game is amazing! The graphics are very well done, and the animations are very realistic (thanks to the actual recordings of the movements). The enemies fall very realisticly when shot at, although it could get pretty annoying to have to shoot about 9 shots until one is dead.

The audio is nothing amazing, nothing bad about it.

The gameplay is very short. The story is overdone. The slow motion button activates alot more fun; the enemies fall back farther, and it gives it that Matrix-style look to it. Throughout this game you have to rely on many stealth tactics in order to survive; entering a room blazing with pistols won't get you far in this one. Sometimes you have to change clothes and kill silently with knives and such to get past it all. Also because of this, there are many ways to complete every mission; adds to the replay.

If you want some quick action with stealth involved, get this game. Although it may be hard to learn, it is all worth it.
