Beware the once-evil knomes! NOT!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 2 / 2

I had this game before, and I threw it out because I had a mortal fear of the stupid little knomes that shook their little tushies at you. I got it again yesterday and i have accomplished the fear of knomes! They kind of look like potatos. Anyway, I love this game. The graphics are so amazing! You feel like you're in Hogwarts! It feels more lively than the Prisoner of Azkaban game's hogwarts. Plus, you can duel, trade more often, and play Quitditch, which I STINK at. You learn four spells: Rictusempra, which stuns fire crabs, imps, Cornish pixies, and giant snail things, Skurge, which gets rid of disgusting greenish junk that blocks you, Diffino, which cuts away stuff, and Sponjify, which makes certain places bouncy so that you can jump really high. After you learn Skurge, sometimes if you open chests Peeves the floating freakish dude pops out at you. He's done that three times to me, and all of the times, I've screamed. I'm almost done with the game.If you're afraid of spiders, beware this game. The giant spider is extra freakish and oddish. But I love it so much! The challenge tasks are so hard and sometimes frustrating. But I like them none the less! Death to the potato-headed, large-teethed, tushie-shaking knomey dudes! Sorry I had to do that. ;)

Oh Boy, oh boy!

Although this game is fun for the whole family, it has some technical problems. I have had problems with EA Games, they don't seem to like to help with the game.

i'm not a huge fan of video games and i even find some to be quite boring. But this one was awesome. it is very easy to understand, but yet some of the challenges are hard. It is much better then the first because you can explore more of hogwarts and you can go back to some of the levels to try to beat your high score. You also can do the cutscene button and skip through what the ppl r saying. If u liked the first one, this one is a lot better

I think this game is extremely fun. I heard about it from a friend and decided to get it. I wasn't disappointed.

6 year old says its good

I bought this to noodle around with because of the rebate, but my 6 year old took it from me as soon as I got it home. She's played it ever since. She needs help getting thru some of the stuff, but she's helped me get thru other obstacles, so it evens out. I think it might be a little boring for a computer game expert, but it's been great for me and my daughter.

Great Game!

My seven year old and I played on and off for about 2 months. May have been difficult for him--and his 42 year old mom--but between the two of us...we managed to figure it out. Some of the challenges he was better at and some I managed to conquer. It took us multiple games to learn the secrets to successfully completing but great fun! Neither of us had read the books but have now seen the first movie and are reading them. Can't wait for more. Well worth the money and time. Graphics are excellent although, with our wireless mouse, can get a little dizzy in all the excitement.

I am a hard core RPG gamer, but I like to play puzzle solving games in between. I found this game to be fun, challenging and entertaining. I've played it twice so far and will play it again. The spellcasting is easy, as you don't have to memorize spells, just point and click. The Quidditch and dueling matches are challenging. Each time you play, you can try to beat your personal best and there is enough variety built into the play to keep you interested, no matter how many times you play.

Cool adaptation of movie and book

At first I was a bit reluctant to try this game (a friend of mine told me that in the last game, Harry often makes noises like he's constipated, and he does here too), but I really liked it when I recieved it as a Christmas gift. Pros: It takes the best parts of the book and movie for its storyline, it is challenging without being frustrating (I, the queen of impatience, have made it to the Chamber of Secrets without buying a hint book), the graphics are really good, and there are many fun subplots (like dueling and playing Quidditch-with Quidditch, remember that the up arrow doesn't make you go faster!!). Cons: Annoying frequency of the "loading game" screen, not being able to save your game at any time (as well as being able to have only six saved games at any time), and the fact that nothing from the DVD preview (some of which is also shown during installation) happens, like de-gnoming the Weasleys' garden (which I would have loved to doo!).
On the whole, this is really worth buying.
