Fatal Frame [a great] game

i really enjoy this game. what really makes it interesting is that it's based on a true story. but that's not entirely true. it's based on well known stories (true?) in Japan having to do with the mansion. apparently, it's a haunted mansion (duh) and seven people supposedly went in and never came out. they were "murdered in a grisly manner". there are residences near the mansion that may be linked to the mansion's past, there are tunnels underneath the area around the mansion, bloody handprints were found, spirits were spotted on the premise in brood daylight, and there is supposed to be a spirit-sealed talisman locked away inside the mansion, and anyone who goes after it is found dead with rope marks on their wrists. also, if you take a photo of a certain window, a girl shows up in the picture, and people fear the entire area around the mansion is cursed. freaky enough to make in a great videogame, huh? but, no, Miku's story is false, don't be fooled by the flashy "true story" subtitle. either way, the game is very enjoyable. it doesn't freak me out anymore, not since i beat the demo version that involves but three ghosts. i reccommend playing it with the lights out and the sound way up, as does PlayStation Magazine. i think this game is a must-buy.

Scary as Heck!

It's hard to find a really frightening video game these days, so when I saw this, I had to have it. It doesn't involve shooting and throwing grenades. It is more of a problem solving game. The only weapon you have is your mother's antique camera that she left to your brother after she passed away. The camera captures spirits. It's great, you can go into the photo album and see the pics you've taken. Back to the scary stuff- It's really dark and there are disturbed spirits everywhere trying to show you how they've been killed. The game is split into 'nights' like levels. Each night pertaining to a different ritual that you must solve. I haven't beaten this one yet, but I can't wait to see what happens in the end.
The only real problem I had with the game was, some hard to focus on Hot Spots. And when you are trying to capture the spirits, sometimes it seems they mysteriously slip out of view.
Over all, I love this game. I hope they are working on another one! Or something like it.

Made me sleepless

This game is by far the best horror game i have seen around i played the demo and i was hooked ..when i first got into it i was too scared to try it again but then i got used to everything and its a great game so great im going out to buy it the things that i like about this game are 1.sound i like to hear the creaks and eriee banging then also what the ghosts say like "i want my child" 2.the never turn your back and try to run....because there is no escape3.weapons against people--plain and simple your CAMERA4.the lighting its dark but not too dark unlike silent hill with silent hill you crash into walls and i dislike that i am looking forward to the movie on this game and can not wait everything is a surprise with the Tecmo team...eventhough i have not played the game i will not be able to rest until i find out who is killing everyonethe fact that its made after a true story makes me shiver and want to hide under my blanket for now until i get the game and finish it i will be sleeping with my lights and tv on

Hands down the most scariest game I have ever played. With ghosts coming out of nowhere. Just popping up surprisingly. Unlike most other horror games where you are armed with loads of guns, this one just give you a camera and your wits. Not knowing what is coming out of the shadows, makes you not wnat to play this game alone! Or even go to sleep in the night!

one of the best horror games out there

this game is second to the best horror game ive played, one of the best parts about it is that it isn't a carbon copy of all other horror games and it adds a unique history to the game like onimusha did. its a really fun game and you'd have hours of fun playing this game.

It's a great game,but.......

why don't they (all the games) have the language option like DVD have?!?!If S.H is in japanese,it will look silly too.Yet it still a very very good game.

Afraid of ghosts? No?You WILL be after playing this game!! Never before have I been so terrified just by simply playing a videogame! Fatal Frame easily makes Resident Evil and Silent Hill look like Super Mario Bros. You can actually "feel" the evil as you wander around the dark;and looking through the camera lense in a first person point of view is even more scary.
Anyone who says that this game doesn't scare them is lying through their chattering teeth!

I have to admit,I could not play through this game! But I bought it anyway for the great fear factor alone. It is priceless to see the expression on your friends faces when you let them play this for the first time!

Freaky, Frightenging and SOOOO MUCH FUN!

Wow. I wish I had never played this game. I really do. Coz then I would get to experience the first time playing it again. I loved this game. I really liked the Silent Hill gang... there are several scary parts in those games. But this game doesn't let up. From the b&w freak shows, to the squeaking floorboards...

At first, I was a bit unamused. I thought that the character moved WAY too slowly and thought I would be really bored... bloody hell, if not an hour into it, I'm thinking the wench needs to slow up as I really don't want to know what's around the next corner in a hurry! I really and truly had to have my boyfriend sit with me while I played this game (if you've got surround sound, prepare to have the hair stand on the back of your neck).

The puzzles kept you on your toes and you better keep track of everything around the place. Please Temco, give us another one like that.

Amazing game that won't let you down.

This game scared even me (a horror movie enthusiast). The changing camera angle that affects your view of what is in front of you, to the whispering voices in the background, to the even scarier appearances of spirits out of the corner of your eye, make this game a top choice for anyone looking for something a little out of the ordinary. GREAT GAME!!
