This is really a disgusting game

Not only is this not appropriate for kids, it's not appropriate for grown ups either. My husband loves computer games but finds this one disgusting as well. I'm not sure why raping women and shooting cops (among tons of other immoral acts) is considered entertaining. Who cares if it's not real! I wonder if anyone has stopped for one second to think about why they are enjoying these kinds of acts, even if they are "just pretend". It's really a shame that society has stooped so low that morals and values have gone out the window when it comes to how we "need" to be entertained.

The graphics may be great but the content is nothing more that garbage.

I have played both GTA3 and Vice City, and I still do not understand the hype over this game. In my opinion it is the most overrated game ever.

Essentially all you do in the game is drive around steal cars, and kill innocent people. This may seem fun at first, but after a day its just the same thing over and over and over and over again. Get in a car, drive around, kill some people, steal another car, drive around some more, kill some more people. Its extremely repetitive and lacks the depth and gameplay that many other games offer today.

Indeed, there are missions in the game, but the missions in my opinion are extremely weak!! Some missions all you do is drive from location to location and thats it. I need a game that offers a better story line and real missions. Not just some side little missions to make you feel like you are advancing.

Anyways, the graphics are alright, nothing to brag about, the framerate is aweful at times, and the loading times are absolulely ridiculous!! The longest I have seen.

Many people think this game is "so cool" because of all the MATURE content, killing innocent people, hookers, foul language....etc.

However, in my opinion all those factors I mentioned above actually make this game IMMATURE. Yup, thats right

I can picture all the 15 year boys playing this game bragging to their friends how "dope" it is because of its content.

Thats immaturity to say the least. Games do not need to be violent and vulgar to be good.

If you wish to play a game that offers excellent graphics, deep gameplay, great sound then go play Metroid Prime for Gamecube.

Now that is a real software, there.

Anyways, in the end it doesn't matter what I think. People will buy the game and play it. I however, just don't see the hype.

Hope this helped some of the non-comformists who wish to judge a game for what it really is, instead of how the masses judge it.

I found this game to be blisane, it gave me a whole new outlook on Weigraf. All and all, it was woot with a captial G.

I did not like this game at all from a moral and gaming respect. First of all I have played many games of different varieties and this is the first game I would never recommend to anyone. It is not only lame as far as the thought process required to solve the missions but completely immoral. Since when did games get this sadisitic? When did it become ok to beat and kill innocent people without any real consequences? Are we that desperate for entertainment? This game should have an adult rating at least and not be sold in the same store that kids shop especially when the poster of the game is on the outside of the store for all to see. I'm sorry but I have to morally stand up against a game so anti-social and provocative. I was shocked at its invention and accessibility to minors. The real world is enough without bringing this into our homes and minds.

Since there haven't been any in-game screen shots yet (not before July 11th when this was written) I can't really give any complements on graphics, but I assume they'll be pretty good.
The cover is very similar to the GTA3 cover with the little cartoon boxes around the GTA logo.
With the only thing released as of now being the cover, I can only assume a few things.
First off, in on of the little boxes there is a helicopter. It could be a hint as to driving one in Vice City, or just the return of them. There is also a speed boat in one of the boxes. I think it means there will be a return of the speed boat. Also, four of the boxes contain some of the characters in cartoon form. They all appear to be new characters.
And finally, something that really looks like a fun, new item is the motorcyle. I am hoping it will be drivable in the game.
Well, with this information, I can't wait until October with the release of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

This is the worst video game on this planet. Millions of kids love this game yet it is putting terrible thoughts into their heads. If your friends are telling you this is fun... IT'S NOT! You go around killing people. Their's plenty of material in this game that is not suitable for children. That's why it's rated M but still kids are buying it! This game should be rated A (adult). Overall it's a pointless, stupid game that is terrible. It's a waste of your time and money.

I got GTA3 right away when it came out. I got it and couldn't stop playing it. There is no limit to what you can do. You can have a sniper post from an unsuspecting place and rock an old lady's world. That's one of the many fun things to do. You never get board with this game. It is Just great. SO those wizards at Rockstar Games must have something even better. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

What is wrong with parents? They just don't get it! This game is intended for people SEVENTEEN and up! It's THEIR fault that their kids saw the graphic content in this game, not the game's makers' (who are complete geniuses by the way)! Anywho, this game was the best PS2 game ever. I said was because the new GTA game, San Andreas, is even better. Still, there is charm in Vice City. The graphics are great, and so is the voice acting. You can do all sorts of stuff for hours in this game. The only real bad thing about this game is that some of the missions are very hard and frustrating (a bad trend in the GTA series, and The Simpsons: Hit & Run [which was a parody of this game]). So, if you can handle the mature content in this game (like me, who is a preteen), and you enjoy driving/shooting games, you're sure to enjoy Vice City (and GTA III and San Andreas, and maybe even the first two GTA games).

this is a good game but isn't anything compared to san andreas.
san andreas has triple the area of vice city and gta3 put together. but there is still alot of things to do in vice city so it was ok for the time it came out.
