Headhunter combines almost all genres of games from stealth, shooting, and drving to make it one of the best games on PS2. This game should be getting way more credit then it already does and is easily the most underrated game out there. Though the game is short (10 hours or less) this is a best buy and is required for any collection of games

One of the best games of its kind

Headhunter has gotten almost no real advertising and great reviews, despite the fact it is one of the best games I have. This game is very much like the covert/action games with a bit of everything: shooting, driving, puzzles, covert missions, and upgrades. I feel as though all PS2 owners should at least try and rent the game, if not purchase it. By not playing this you are missing one of the best games on the system.

it had to be said

I got this game on part exchange, for 7.99.It impressed me to start off with but after i had finished it ,there was'nt much to do.I ended up part exchanging this.Reason being that i am a metal gear solid fan,and after playing this i felt that this was in a different league.First of all it draggs you into the action a bit to early, there is'nt much of build up to the story. But i was impressed by some of the stuff jack wade could do compared to solid snake.Your enemy however could spot you more easily, than on mgs2.But during the end it failed to impress,it did'nt look like a much serious game compared to mgs,max payne, dmc ect in its genre. And sometimes the graphics looked a bit cartooney, and the ai and speaking by charchter was'nt exactly great. If u are a mgs fan....then try and rent it.Same goes for if you aint. But if you are planning on buying a action game, then get mgs2/SUBSTANCE if u have'nt already got it.

VERY UNDERRATED!

I actually liked this game! I considered this game one of the most underrated games ever. The physics and action play is quite good and the abundance of play is worth the buy. If you like to do a little fighting with a little puzzlin' to solve than this is a good game you might have not heard of. I like how you can ride a motorcycle around the town from place to place but you can't do it at will which really stinks but hopefully they will allow that in the sequel! Well, there is alot of things I like about this game but to put it in short, very good graphics, very good play, very good story = VERY GOOD GAME

A Buried Treasure

I've played this game on PS2, and now own it. Originally on Dreamcast, this game is bound to be and is compared to Metal Gear Solid. I feel that it should not, for it is very different from that game. One of the coolest things about this game is how when you go somewhere, you go there. You're not just suddenly there, you hop on your cool motorcycle and ride throughout the town to get there. The game takes place in the future and the developers really built up a solid, futuristic world. The story is intriguing, and the gameplay combines stealth with shootouts. Put that with a killer gamesoundtrack, and you have yourself a buried treasure. The only two things that could have been fixed in this game are the animations when you hit a car on your bike and some camera issues.

A Rental

Head Hunters is one of those games that is not worth buying. It may have a lot of action but in the end it is simply a puzzle game. The whole game fits together way to easily. One thing leads to the next and to the next until the game is over. Action is just thrown in to keep the game from getting boring. Game play is pretty much a bad Metal gear Solid Game. You can roll push up against walls and snap people's necks from behind. The only useful feature in the game is rolling since it is a great way to doge bullets, and most of the time you'll be fired on by enemies off the screen, so rolling to cover can be a life saver. The game also has terrible camera angels, and at times your character will be hidden behind walls while enemies are beating the sh** out of him. The worst part is once you beat the game you wont want to play it again it has no replay value. This game is a rental and is not worth buying.

Another one being returned to the store!

I bought this game with Turok. Sorry to say, but I wasted my time and money on two very terrible games. The graphics on Headhunter will make you glance at your unit to make sure you are playing it on the PS2 and NOT the PS1. The gameplay is difficult and sometimes fun, but it is just not worth the 45 dollars wasted on it. Rent it first. That is my suggestion. You will be glad that you did. I cannot believe that so far since PS2 has been out, there have been only a few worthy games: MGS2, GTA3, and possibly a FEW sports games. To think that PS3 is due to come out in 2005 when PS2 has YET to make a decent game library to date. Headhunter was just a clone of Winback and MAYBE some aspects of MGS2. This game needs work, the main character needs some more target practice as he is a terrible shot. Like I said... RENT the game, don't buy it. I am returning Headhunter AND Turok:Evolution back to the store I bought them from and HOPEFULLY I will get lucky and find a DECENT PS2 game, but I doubt it.
