A remake of a classic strategy and war game. It improves on many of the features the original AOS has such as unit queing (sp?) and waypoints. Definitely enjoyable. However, some civilizations are seriously overpowered... play around and enjoy yourself, but you can get slaughtered in multiplayer. Download the balance patch as soon as you are able.

My son loves this game! We downloaded the trial version and he poured through that quickly. Christmas was the perfect time to give hom this full version with extras! Made him scream with joy~!~! This is the best price around...Go Amazon~

Age of Empires 2 is cool

My husband and kids love this game. They would play it for four or five hours a day if I would let them. They have hooked three computers together and play it whenever they get a chance. They have Age of Empires 1, and they think this one is way cooler. I'm impressed that they can connect the scenarios to their history lessons and learn some geography along the way, too.

this is truly the best game i have ever played. for players who are hoooked on to the medieval ages, get the game! I personally did not like AoE I because it took place in an age where all the races are ancient races (babylonians, assyrians,carthagians). But this is the best. For the medieval aged game player, this is a must have.

This is a great game. Excellent replay value. Multiplayer is the best. All the expansion packs are in this box set, so you;re good to go.

This game IS the best game in the world! Personally i like AOE 2 better than the third one! this one is much more fun! I like how there are so many ways to play the game! and with the map editor there is no end to how much fun you can have! Believe me if youhad any common sense you would get this game! i would reccomend it over the third one. Mainly because you need a really good computer to play it. hope this review was helpfull!

Since the trend to using 3d-engines for RTS games all the developers seem to be investing all their energy in the graphics and forgetting that they need to pay attention to the game. AOE2 may not have the hottest graphics, but it's still the best for gameplay, balance, stategy and tactics. It's such a finely balanced game that it maintains its appeal long after newer games are gathering dust on the shelf.

My Title tells it all. I think it was well done,but it really couldn't hold my interest. I'm not sure why I lost interest but it just didn't have a compelling reason to go on.

Well, it is a great game and the realism is fantastic! If you know any cheats it makes it twice as fun because you can build anything!
