Nice Addition to your Collection

Before Everquest I had Ultima Online. When EQ came out I gave it a try. Well I tell you I it was the funnest game i have ever played. I stopped my UO account right then and started playing EQ. The monthly fee is a little price to pay for such a cool game. If you like to explore, do quests, or gain power this game is for you. If you have the money I would definately get this game.

Everquest addiction

After looking into this game that I have played since Nov of 1999. I would recommend it if you like to game and have the time to play. I have spent many hrs and days playing it. It is based off of D&D however, on the other hand it is nothing like it. It has the different races ranged from Halflings, Gnomes, Woodelfs, Darkelfs, Highelfs, Trolls, Ogres, Humans, Barbarians, Erudites.
Classes range from Cleric, Druid, Rangers, Rogues, Shamans, Warriors, Enchanters, Magicians, Bards, Wizards, and now with the new expansion it has the Beastlord.
It is very addicting, however if you have the time and patience I would recommend this game to you. If you are interested in the gaming process.

Buying this was the worst mistake I ever made in my entire life. If you think this is fun, think again.

I was at level 20 for over two weeks, and when I did level up, I was hardly any stronger than I was before.

This is really a good Game

I have always had fun in Everquest. With the PC quests and meeting thousands of people every week it is just amazing. I have never really had a dull time. As you level up your horizon broadens as well. You can go to more challenging areas and take on new NPC quests. Sure there are some bad things like the unchanging NPC quests and hostile in town NPCs, but really it is quite fun. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is that it is pay to play.

Expressing yourself in another Plane

My son bought me the game for Mother's Day in 2001. So I have been playing about a year and a half now. My main char, a druid, is lvl 34 finally. I spent a lot of time learning a lot about my RL self by seeing how terrified I was of my EQ character dying and going to new places. And I also, believe that by creating really good friendships with RL caring people in my Guild, that I have grown a lot - in RL AND in EQ. It is well worth the money spent to me for the monthly service. Its another Plane of existence where another part of "ME" expresses itself. I LOVE this game!!

Wonderful Worlds ...

I have been playing EQ for a couple months. It can be a difficult game to master -- so many different things to learn. But there are more than enough helpful players out there... just give a shout and someone's bound to help. A lot of quests are for the higher level players -- but that helps the lower levels too -- because they pass the armor/equipment on.

Now I have heard time and time again the complain that EQ is addictive. That can be said about ANY game. I enjoy playing EQ but I also know that there's a world outside Norrath -- it's called Earth. If you're spending more time at the computer (or on a game console) than with your family and friends and doing REAL LIFE things -- then get away from the computer(tv... whatever) and focus on the IMPORTANT stuff: LIFE.

They dont call it "Da Crack" for nothin'. This game is a powerful drug, very hard to walk away from. Well worth the cost. My wife and I both play and cant imagine not having E.Q. as close as our computer. The very thought sends chills up and down our spines.

Whats up i have this game and its the best game ever!!! aside from the payments its so kool!!! you create a player and you go into a fantacy world and life the life of the character. you have to get exp. you get it by fighting monsters and stuff( to parents there are no guns only swords and magic spells) the highest level is level 60 but you can still kill dragons and stuff, ITS SOOOOO KOOL!!! the only bad things are the payments which arent too much and that to play the game you have to read the booklet or you will be lost. I LOVE EVERQUEST!!!

the best

EQ is the most fun you can have with a computer game. Patience and social skills required.
