the defining moment in X's history

ther are very few games that are worth this kind of dough. When i looked this one up the price had me spinning! after purchasing this game i have officially topped of my SNES collection, and its impossible to be a hardcore megaman fan without this game. If your a fan of skillful fighting suicide jumps that you actually make, and etc., you may find a warmer welcome with the plain megamans 1 through 7. However if your passion is new bigger weapons that wreak the ultimate havoc on evil, pick this one up, believe the hefty price tag is nothing compared to the smiles this game will put on your face

best music ever

Mega Man X3 is quite possibly the best Mega Man X game ever made. The main thing that impressed me was the music. Now I know many of you say this game is to expensive and it is better to just buy the PS2 collection set but it is not. I have the original game and the collection set and in the collection set they changed all the music and sound effects in X3 which destroys the whole game. The music is the best part of X3. There are so many good songs but my favorite's are the Intro song, the ending song, the credits song after the ending song, gravity beetles song, cains song, toxic seahorses song, and the music when you first become zero in the first level. The only song in this game that isnt spactacular is blizzard buffalos music but other than that every song is good. Oh and to those of you that whine and say you can only get 5 of the 8 upgrades you are wrong there is a way to get all 8 parts but it's a secret.

Good game, but not worth the price of admission

First off, I would like to say that finding a new, factory sealed Mega man X3 costs over $200 (even a used copy costs just under 130 bucks), so unless you have a lot of money to burn, or absolutely need this game, avoid it.
As far the as the game itself goes, it's not too bad. It marks the very first time you get to play as Zero, and it has more capsules to discover. With all standard Megaman fare in the game, it makes it a solid side scroller. But it also brings us back to reason why this game should be avoided: THE HUGE PRICE TAG! Being standard megaman fare, it just isn't worth the money to shoot bad guys and beat a boss. After all, it is still just a standard side scroller.
All in all, the game is good, but I just feel there should be a better reason for a game to be so expensive.

WAIT A WHILE!

DO NOT BUY THIS FROM THOSE SELLERS WHO ARE TRYING TO CHARGE YOU LIKE 100.00 DOLLARS. If you wait until November, Capcom has a Mega Man X Collection coming out for a price of only 30 dollars and you get SIX GAMES!

Mega Man X3 was perhaps the best of the Super Nintendo Mega Man X games (X4 being the overall best), but don't fork over eighty dollars! Capcom is coming with a Mega Man X Collection and Mega Man X through X6. SIX GAMES FOR THIRTY BUCKS!

Mega Man X3 is amazing. The first time we get to play as Zero. There is no Mega Man game full of more secrets than this one. Every level holds something, and if you think that's neat, this really was the first Mega Man X game where you could use the Z-Saber and play as Zero for the first time. It was everything you'd want. It was challenge, and it had the essential action qualities. It was fun, and the music was incredible.

Yes, Mega Man X3 IS a really good game... but wait for the collection to come out! It'll save you a LOT of money in the long run!

This is together with MMX2 the best MMX game ever ...It can get quite complicated though if you want to get ALL the heart upgrades, sub tanks, capsule upgrades, the special Golden chip in the final stages (read a detailed walkthrough secrets section on one of the many MMX fan sites to find out how) and also be able to get Zero's Z-Sabre with X. But all in all this game is very fun and worth it. Unfortunately this game dates from 1995 and is very rare now. ...

The best X game, hands down.

Megaman X3 is easily the best game in the series. It is fun, has fantastic 2-D graphics, but is, above all things, a good challenge. Compared to the original X (which I have beaten who knows how many times), this game improved drastically. Not that Megaman X is bad, it just isn't nearly as good. You get to play as my favorite Megaman X character, Zero. But the downside to that is that he can't fight bosses. The bosses are difficult. They have more difficult attack patterns. I have rented this game about 7 times (several years ago, that is) and it took me five rentals until I was finally able to beat just one. I enjoyed it very much because of its challenge. So if you own an SNES, want a rarity, and have good cash, try and find it at a bargain store.

This is a Megaman X game thats difficulty is so high it will knock your boots off!Although nubes get nervous and wont try a game they think is hard, no matter how good you are, EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE should at least try this game before they dis
it.This is because it has amazing graphics and sound that surpass most psx games even the N64.It also the most fun someone who likes a good endeveur will have.As both X and partially Zero you must find armor capsules to increase your skills, heart tanks to increase your health, sub tanks to hold extra health, and many more secrets which I mst not reveal. Also try not to die along the way.....or otherwise you`ll miss out on a game that is so very fun.

Its.......ok

Mega man X3 is an, how can i say it? an ok game. It's fun but the part with the chip that you can only put in one of mega man's armor parts is really annoying? Why can't you upgrade all of mega man's stuff. Kind of boring but its mega man so its not all that bad.

I hate people who try to milk out every penny they can when regarding such rare games, but even more so when they multiply the suggested price 10x just because they know desperate people will pay it! My suggestion: TRY E-BAY!

At least you'll have more options this way, and you could save your financial a** trying to get this game as well.
