Great game for young and old

I am an experienced gamer with a young son, and we both enjoy. The game has alot of facets from the cartoon, (which I don't care much for). The sounds and voices are all there, even some of the guest stars, and the graphics are superb. Game is very challenging and recommend to all. Great way to spend a couple of hours. Recommend.

My 4-year-old, who is already the world's biggest Scooby-Doo fan, gives this a hearty thumbs-up. It's a fun game for both father and son. The action's pretty good, a standard platformer, nothing innovative, but not a bad one either. The greatest part is the faithfulness to the source material. It's a real Saturday morning nostalgia blast for '70s kids with the real voices of the actors, very expressive animation and the villains from the show's original run. There's even a cameo appearance from Don Knotts as the groundskeeper! And the best part? No Scrappy Doo. Not even Scooby Dum -- unless there's a Gameshark cheat I don't know about. :) Anyway, lots of fun for little ones, probably a little hard without some grown-up help, but not that tough. Doesn't appear to be too huge, but there is probably some replayability for Scooby fans young and old.

The best Scooby Doo game yet

I have been looking forward to this game for the past 3 months, and let me tell you I am not disappointed. Scooby Doo: Night Of 100 Frights is one of the best platform games available for PS2. Yes it is up there with Jak and Daxter. The graphics are excellent and this is with out a doubt the best cartoon based game I have seen. It easily tops Simpsons Road Rage. But the part I find most enjoyable is that it feels like an authentic Scooby Doo episode. The voices for all the characters are great and even though the humor is aimed towards young audiences it will definently get some laughs from adults. I am 19 and I find this game hilarious. All the characters are true to there attitudes in the show. I will admit that even though most of the game is aimed towards young audiences there is still a lot in the game that will even be challenging to experienced gamers. Oh and this game is not short, so don't think you'll finish it quick and easy. I strongly recommend this game to any Scooby fan and any Platform genre fans.

Way Better Than the N64 Scooby Game...

After renting this game I knew I had to own it. I only played a little bit of it (did not get far in the game) but all it took was just the little playing I did to realize I wanted to own this game. If you are a Huge Scooby-Doo get this game or rent it first and try it..I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
I now own it and paly it whenever I get the chance. Like my title of this review it is true it is way better than the N64 classic creepers game of Scooby. So go out and get this game! I love i and I hope that you will love it too!

Great Graphics and Fab' Fun!

This game is packed with most of the monsters on the TV series. The introduction is the theme of Scooby-Doo with the same music but with 3D graphics. It's a big adventure with Scooby-Snacks, Don Knots, Shaggy, and the audience's laugh when Scooby does somethin' funny! There is a bunch of passage ways your sopposed to get to to slolve the mystery. If you have JAK & DAXTER then should get this game.

Pleasant Surprise

It seems that many games based on moves, cartoons, etc. seem to be quickly and sloppily produced, hoping to be sold entirely based on their license, so I am usually wary of these games. But Scooby Doo 100 Frights was a very pleasant surprise. I saw a video of the game and thought it looked kind of cool, but rented it to try it first. I loved it so much that I bought it so I could finish it and unlock everything. It doesn't offer too much innovation as a platformer game. It's your basic run around, collect all the scooby snacks, kill the monsters, and earn the obligatory secret moves, like the double jump and super smash. But the graphics are awesome, the control is pretty decent, and if you are a fan of the old cartoon, this is a must-play. It has all the classic monsters, some classic scooby moves, and even an in-game laugh track. The voices are great and true to the characters. My main complaints were that you had no control over the camera, which could sometimes present a problem, and I wish there had been more cut scenes to make the game more of a story.

A Must have for Scooby-Doo fans!

I love this game, at first I was somewhat afraid that it would not be what I expected, and since it's a new release there are few reviews about it. This game has very good graphics, it has the original voices from the cartoon, it's very much like in the cartoon. I also like that it's not exactly "just for kids", teens and adults would feel challenged too, and of course, it's perfectly safe for kids, Scooby just gets "scared", never killed. It's definitely worth the money, and most certainly you will need a memory card because this game takes time to finish, probably a week. For instance I purchased Virtua Fighter 4 (which I love too) and finished it in one afternoon, all levels, with Scooby it took a while. Have fun!

... This is one of the best games for PS2. Yes it's up there with "Jak and Daxter". And it's one of the only PS2 games that have commercials this summer. It follows the storyline of the original Scooby-Doo and some of the same villains from the show. It even has a laugh track when Scooby does something funny. This is one of the few fun and not-to-serious games for PS2 this year. If you like Jak and Daxter or Crash Bandicoot, trust me, you will be absolutely crazy about this game.

Hold on a second. You recommend Stitch?! That game is worse than watching Bob the Builder for 5 hours, no offense im not trying to kick anyone's backside thats just what I feel. If you enjoy playing good games, get this one. It's one of the best games I've played for PS2. Its very similar to the cartoon except more exciting. If you enjoy platform games get this. Theres nothing bad I can find about it. Its flawless. And they make every little detail exactly like the cartoon. It brings back memories of waking up on Saturday and running to the TV to watch the Saturday Morning Schedule lineup. Yep, the good ol' days. The storyline is great and actually makes sense, unlike some other games that don't have purpose for doing certain parts. Its every bit worth this review. It one of my favorite PS2 games out of 19. Don't waste your money on boring games. Get this game.
