If you are a WWII Fan and new into games, you will enjoy this one, a little bit old but still very rewarding, you fly missions in Europe, the Pacific Ocean and over the snow covered Stalingrad among others

I still haven't seen any reviews mention that for Star Wars Fans this game has a big surprise once you succesfully achieve all missions

Buy It

I thought this was an excellent game, good story line. It isn't Microsoft Flight Simulator, but for PS2 the control of the plane is excellent. It is a lot of fun to play. A game worth putting in your collection, it's in mine.

Pretty cool

I just got this game a few days ago and it's pretty fun so far. I am on mission 3 and have completed the first few challenges as well. Graphically it could be better but it's not bad either. The plans fly too "arcadey" for me though. I like the way the plans fly in "Heroes of the Pacific" better. But the plans so far are pretty neat. I am new to the WWII plane battle type games. There doesn't seem to be too many of them though. If you find this cheap somewhere and are into WWII fighterplane games, I recommend it.

What the hell is this supposed to be?

This game is annoying and loud. And I'm sick of the ugly planes and that stupid Rose girl. Can't she do anything by herself? Why do you need to save her all the time? This game is just so obnoxious. I thought I was going to heave. And I hate how they make all these female characters so useless and how they can't do anything by themselves. This game is rediculous. Save your money. You won't be sorry. And neither will I. Because I love you! :)

ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I HAVE EVER PLAYED

It's an overall fun game, but it could be better if it had more fun, more multiplayer rounds. I put four stars on fun because I thought the levels could be a little shorter. I also thought it could be easier than what it is. Like the clash at Coral Sea could have more fighters to protect the torpedo and divebomber planes. I gave it an overall five star rating because as you go through the missions you can steal Japanese and German planes from their hangers and take them back to your hanger and fight with them in different battles. I recommend this game for people who like WW2 and military aircraft.

The BEST air combat game I've ever played

The graphics are good for a game that was made in 2003 or 2004. If you saw this game at Blockbuster and thought of renting it, but didn't, you should go back and do so. You can fly a number of planes, and they are all cool, especially the Spitfire. One good about this game is the circle that appears around your enemies. This saves you the trouble of findng them. All you have to do is follow the arrows and fire when the enemy is in your sights.

One of the greatist World War 2 games I have ever played

This game could've been much more fun. The graphics is hideous, looks like PS1 game. The ammunition/cannon effect is cheesy. The wing flaps and rudder don't turn. The control is super stiff, airplanes act like future jet fighters. The replay engine is lame! It only shows the last 20 seconds of the action or when/how you died! ALL GERMAN AIRCRAFTS are not sporting the Nazi symbol thus killing historical authenticity; Its probably because Whore Hey Lucas is Jewish.

Despite all these flaws this game is still pretty decent, nothing more. However I did like the super zoom in close camera which allows the pilot to see enemy aircrafts up close.

Overall if you're looking for a WW2 aircraft game get Heroes Of The Pacific.

A great game for hours of fun

I have always loved the aircraft of WWII and will always give any game that is based around those aircraft a try. Sometimes I stumble upon a jewel and sometimes not. In this case I found a great game.

One of the aspects about this game that I enjoyed the most was that there is such a huge variety of aircraft that you can fly. Most flight games set in that era include the popular craft; P-51 Mustang, Hawker Hurricane, Supermarine Spitfire, etc. What sets Secret Weapons Over Normandy appart is that you can fly some of the less popular craft as well such as the Yakovlev Yak-1, the Messerschmitt Me 163 Comet and Me 262, a Fairey Swordfish, and even some experamental planes of the time such as the Voight XF5U-1 Flying Pancake and the Curtiss-Wright XP-55 Ascender.

The controls are simple and easy to learn, there are lots of training missions that are not necessary to advance the plot but do play into the plot quite nicely.

Graphics are good but not great. They could be a lot better but the gameplay makes up for it. Targets are easy to identify, text is easy to read, although graphics for the aircraft are much better than graphics for ground forces.

My biggest gripe about the game is how inaccurate it is. I understand that in order to not make the game repetitive that some things, like ammo or bomb/rocket load, must increase. However to load 5 2000lbs. bombs under a P-51 or 12 torpedos under a Swordfish is just absurd. Also simple things like aircraft speed should have had more attention.

I enjoyed this game, if you like fairly simple games that are just plain fun to play then I think you'll enjoy this game too.

Great historical fun.

I stumbled on to this title looking at reviews for "Heroes Of The Pacific" another PS2 title and after reading some of the reviews, their were a several few who also recomended "Secret Weapons over Normandy" so I purchased a copy and needless to say, I think this game is great, it may not be the flight sim, but it is great fun, though the game is no walk in the park, once you get the hang of the controls then the game does take on a whole new meaning, the missions involved are quite challenging, not to mention all the enemies you'll be facing, from downing planes to sinking U-boats this game will keep your eyes focused and your fingers busy, all in all while flying some of the coolest warbirds of WWII, each of the missions contains several of both (Primary) and (Secondary) targets, complete each task to earn medals, aircrafts, and upgrades for them, the only gripe I have about this game is that it doesnt have my favorite aircraft "The Vought F4U Corsair" the war plane of the "Black Sheep Squadron" and even with that small draw back this game earns a 5 star rating, I totally recommend this game to those who wish to go back into history, change its fate and have a great time while doing so.
