A short disappointment

I have purchased every Spyro game that has been released... this one is awful. Yea, okay, the premiss is the same, but this is the shortest game I have every played. I dont think I can express my disappointment with this game and the lack of worlds. I mean, after playing it for a few hours one evening I found out that I was already 25% finished. Thats not even close to providing a product worthy of the stiff price. Loading takes _forever_. I mean, every time you change worlds literally takes about 5 minutes. If you are a diehard Spyro fan and just need a fix well, buy it but please don't expect much, or you'll be sorely disappointed.

What a disappointment

My son received this game for Christmas and we were shocked to see the quality of this much anticipated game. The loading time takes forever and there are so many glitches, it makes the game more irritating than fun. It was not as challenging as the previous games and was indeed a great disappointment. It seemed as if they started with a great concept, but rushed the production in order to get it out before the buying season. I definitely do not recommend this Spyro.

Beautiful, But Impossible

I bought this game because I love the origional Spyro game. Granted the graphics are a little below par and Spyro is hard to control compared to other games, but it's just so cute. I love the idea of this game. You go around chasing dragonflies, and you get bubble breath, ice breath, and electric breath in addition to the normal fire breathing, which is cool. The places are really pretty this time and much more interesting than in previous games. BUT, this is much harder. About 15 minutes into the game you're supposed to run, jump, glide, and then hover so that you can get to this ledge and get electricity breath. One of Spyro's friends shows you how to do it, and maybe it's just me, but I have tried for hours and hours, I do everything Spyro's friend tells me to do, and I still can't make this jump. And you need the electricity breath to open the next part of the game, so I'm just stuck. There are no cheat codes you can use on this game at all, so there's no way to get past this.

Looks like Spyro, but it's not our Spyro

I anxiously awaited this release, as I loved the first 3 Spyro games. Alas, I was sorely disappointed.
1. The load times are excruciating - the first time I loaded the game I thought it had frozen on me.
2. Are there really only 9 levels, plus the boss? I expected more than 15 hours of gameplay .
3. Some of the graphics are beautiful, but on several levels there is stuttering.
4. Glitches, glitches, glitches. In the dojo level my conversations ended up being one person behind. In the Thief's Den it says I didn't capture a dragonfly that I did (and now I will never be able to complete the game 100%). Darn thing even froze on me in the UFO level. I can't even list of all the problems I had in Jurassic Jungle. It amazes me that Sony allowed this to be released.
5. Camera - this has a tendency to get hung up behind objects so you can't see where you are until it decides to swing around behind you again (which takes a while). It will also sometimes just wander off on its own.
6. Sound - several times I would get the sound of a vase breaking when I was nowhere near one. Also, the music just stopped in several levels.
If this game was not a sequel to a series we all know and love, it probably wouldn't be too bad, however, we have come to expect so much more from Spyro. I think we should get a court order to give custody of Spyro back to Insomniac and hope this release didn't kill Spyro forever.

Hi gamers. The new Spyro game is excellent. I didn't think it would be that great, but it impressed me. Spyro himself is animated well. When his wings move it is very realistic. The makers also created these different and unique worlds for the users to travel through. This is great for people of all ages also. I find that I enjoy playing it and so does my younger brother. Have fun.

I highly encourage you to get Spyro Enter The Dragonfly today. The game is dope. There are crazy new features. Over 20 new levels and weapons galore, well much more breath choices than previous games. There are also these mini-games that can keep you entertained for a while. I think most will enjoy it, it is playable at any time and by persons of all ages.

Loads of fun!

Spyro came to me as a gift. My cousin gave it to me for my birthday. I haven't played many PS1 or PS2 games, but so far I'm enjoying Spyro. He moves around to new and beautiful places to gather up these dragonflies to save the dragon world. I'm not sure which characters are new to the series, but all of them are well animated. Spyro's movements are very smooth and look very real. I hope more games like this are released for PS2.

New Spyro game is fantastic. I didn't have any expectations for the game, my friend just advised me to get it and I'm happy i did. There is a lot of great platform action! Spyro is on a quest to stop Ripto from taking over the dragon realm. I don't know about the other spyro games, but Enter the Dragonfly has many different fantasy levels or worlds for Spyro to visit. Each is very beautiful and unique. Hopefully more spyro games continue to be made.

Best of the best

I really liked this game and believe that it is the best of the other spyro games. Although the game is very similar to Spyro 3 there are some really cool new features that even make it more fun. For example, the ability to climb walls, and the addition of various new types of dragon breath make this game more exciting. There are also a series of mini gmaes throughout the platform which make sure that you do not get bored. There are some minor issues like occasional glitches, but then again what game doesn't have this problem? Overall I gave it 4 stars and I recommend either renting or buying this game.
