Good to rent, but not buy. The game is pretty good, but not very deep.

The Warriors is a fun romp, but it wasn't as engaging as other Rockstar releases. The environment is small, and not varied enough, the things to do in the story mode are limited and get old quickly, and overall I finished the game in a rather short period of time.

Good rental. Save the other $40 for something else.

Picked this up Friday, and haven't stopped since... Addictive. Well done, Rockstar.

The controls takes a bit of getting use to, but you get use to it fast.

Great game, but NOT FOR CHILDREN.

Great game Rockstar does it again!!!!

I just got this game and so far I love it. good game play and free movement. If you like the movie you will enjoy this.it has a few drawbacks but overall it's a blast.no guns just fight it out.the cops get to be a drag at times and I wish you could steal cars but you can do a lot and there are lots of options.
so far very happy.I'll update after I beat the game I hope this
will be the outcome and not a closet keeper.

Rockstar Game is at the forefront of the video game industry for several reasons. They make really fun games and pay attention to detail. The little things really make their games fun. "The Warriors" is very user friendly. There is a setting so you can choose to play on an easy setting or a more difficult setting. It's basically a fighting game. You will be fighting, fighting and fighting some more. However, different than other fighting games like "State of Emergency," you have a lot of freedom in between missions to explore the game map and do side missions like steal car radios or mug people. It's not a very difficult game. In the early missions they basically walk you through the game play providing very clear instructions on how to get started with the various fighting moves and game play elements like how to heal yourself when hurt, how to bust down fences and so on. The only early element of the game I found difficult is when you mug someone you are supposed to twist the R3 joystick until a onscreen vibration is found, you have to do this before the persons resistance meter is filled up, once I figured it out it was all good.

Like other Rockstar Games, The Warriors comes with a decent size booklet that will get you well on your way to game play with ease. There are a lot of little things you can do with this game. One thing I had to get used to was the Autosave feature. This means that you have to complete a mission for that mission to save, you can't just run to a save house or something when you want to save. I'm pleased. The game is bloody and violent but I really enjoy playing this game. If you like the GTA series of games from Rockstar you won't have a problem easing into The Warriors.

Good but not great

I really enjoyed this game at first, it is satisfyingly brutal (although not nearly as sadistically gratifying as Manhunt), has a really immersive atmosphere- which is crucial for a good blast of escapist videogaming, and pretty convincing voice- acting. I would've said that it's too short, but it quickly becomes repetitive as, true to the thuggish fighting style and faithful to the movie, there is little variation in the combat. Another major criticism I have is that you can finish the game without using any skill at all. I got through all the fights just by repeatedly tapping the two attack buttons in the vague direction of the nearest foe (often hitting a team mate by mistake as it gets so hectic when there are huge gang wars). Some people, especially fans of the movie, will love this game, but seeing as it's by the same company as San Andreas, many will be very disappointed with how short and linear it is by comparison. When you consider that San Andreas is the same price (would even be cheaper most places by now) and lasts approximately 8 times longer with about 300 times the things you can do, The Warriors just seems like a minor side-note to keep you busy until something better (i.e: the next GTA) comes along.

Rock Star Goes Further Into the Gutter

2 Rating: 2, Useful: 6 / 34

Rock Star's popularity essentially rests on two concepts; innovation and controversy. The first, and most positive concept, is to introduce something groundbreaking. With the GTA games, they introduced free roaming evironment with very few restrictions. There was cartoonish violence and some bad language, but it was all in good fun.

But other, less innovative Rockstar games have relied on one thing; moving further into the gutter. The Warriors is no exception. This game is about one thing; brutal, realistic gang violence, with countless F-Words, a rape or two, and basically mass chaos. They'd have done better if the characters would have repeated one phrase the entire time; WE'RE BREAKING ALL THE RULES MAN! WE'RE PUSHING THE ENVELOPE MAN!

That seems to be the only goal with this game. While the senseless violence is there, it doesn't have the free roaming of the GTA games, and the dialogue is some of the most irritating, with seemingly endless one-liners and non-stop cursing.

If this sounds like your thing, well... bon apetite!

What can i say.............?

What can i say..........? I have very high hopes for this game after been watching the movie. It's a must watch movie for me. From the makers of Grand Theft Auto and Manhunt i can expect a lot from Rockstar. Gore, stealth, running around, chases.

The Warriors. A gang who get mistaken for the killing of a leader from another gang. All through the night they have to try and make it back to their own turf before any other gang gets them.

I would definitely like to see an online or multiplayer game where you set up your own gang.

Another ban?

With the recent pull of San Andreas from store shelves, Manhunt being banned pretty much everywhere, and Jack Tompson trying to get Bully banned in Florida, it`s a wonder why noones talkin about this game, at all. Its worse than GTA in some respects, although theres no sex, and cussing isnt as bad (tho, its BAD) this is the most violent game iv`e ever played. Im not tryin to put the game down, im just sayin people are worryin bout Bully which aint violent at all, over this psycotic but awsome beat em up.
