Ghost Recon for the PS2

I love this Ghost Recon game. It was the first one out for the PS2. The basic concept of the game is to use stealth to overtake your enemies however this point is completely optional.

Sometimes it is just fun to choose your favorite members. As you complete more missions and do more of the extra objectives, you can unlock secret characters who have very high levels of skill over your own players. Although you do have to make sure to have a well rounded team. Team members who have been killed cannot be used for the missions and it is wise to leave your wounded members back at the base to heal for a mission or two.

You can choose your team to be made up of a group of bazooka-weilding members if you so desired. You just have to make sure that you have an appropritate member to complete the mission. It is completely open-ended in the style you are able to complete your missions.

Although the graphics are not the best of all the PS2 games, the are certainly on par. The only problem that I would see with them is that it can get difficult to see your enemies during the daytime missions.

I certainly enjoyed this game when it was released and it is a good classic game. It's not an easy game, but it's challenging. I have to say that if you liked this game, you are sure to like the other Tom Clancy games, such as Splinter Cell or GRAW. Ghost Recon for the PC is probably a better title as the graphics are much impoved over the PS2 graphics and there are a lot more cinematic sequences there as well.

The plot is based on the Russian ultranationalists taking over a small neighboring country in a bid to rebuild their crumbling country. The Ghosts are part of a taskforce that has been sent in to help the fledgling country fight off it's attackers.

This game OK

Gost Recon is fun if you like first person shooting games that are stealthy. If you like to just run in and start shooting this game is not for you. The 2 problems about this game is the loading time and the graphics. I mean you could see the bodies move after you killed the enemy.

Another Great Buy From Tom Clancy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tom Clancy, You DA Man. Realism, Sweat, and Fear. Expect only the best from him. I have Always been a Tom Clancy Fan Starting w/ Rainbow Six.

EASTERN EUROPE, 2008. Command the Ghosts: An elite handful of specially trained Green Berets, Armed with the latest technology and the deadliest weapons, in a mission to keep the lid on a new war before it mushrooms...literally.

Well, I just have to say this is a pretty Sweet game. I really like how the game is designed. It has very good Graphics, the game play is top notch and the story in general is cool. I also like the 8 Desert Siege missions. To me, They are a cool encore to the game and ad a nice finishing touch. I also like the awards that you can win. I just would like to add one little note: I am not sure if this is just me but i noticed that the enemys in the first 15 missions are kind of pear shaped. I just felt like stating that

Ghost Recon is a great game for all ages. It puts right into the action just like real special forces. Your team , the Ghost , consisting of 3 people to 2 teams while running around Russia and parts of Africa. The controls are a little hard to master , but once you do it'll be easy. The downsides are that you or a member can die easily , no internet options , and your shots have to be percise or its over. So , all togrther Ghost Recon is great , fun game. I recomend this if you love military games.

Another god-awful Tom Clancy game

The only good Tom Clancy game is SPlnter Cell, a game like this is simply too real to be fun, you control all members of your squad, but one at a time, and you're dead a few minutes in because you get shot, then you have to spend three men to find out where the shooter is and another one to actually kill him, and the graphics suck, keep off of this game.

AWESOME GAME

BUT not as good as SOCOM: US NAVY SEALS. But i recomend buying this game as well as SOCOM because of the different missions and different gameplay. Both this game and SOCOM are really good games. For all you people who arent that good at most games (like i once was) these games can pose a challenge even for experienced gamers.

A fun game, with good graphics and sound. "Radar" showing positions
of friendly, neutral, and enemy units is silly and makes game too
easy at times. Enemy units are often excellent shots with a lot
of ammo, but they don't seem too bright. Anti-tank weapons are
remarkably effective. Overall, is quite playable, ... Like all of the Clancy games, it feels a
lot like a recruiting tool for the military and/or CIA.

Exciting Game

I actually played GR2 JungleStorm before playing the original GR. GR2 is the better game on a few small levels, but GR 1 is still excellent.
If you like FPS games, but also like a level of stategy, you should enjoy this game. There is also a good "open-world" feel to the game. you do have to acheive specific objectives to win, but you can approach your goals from many different angles and by employing various stategies/styles of play.
I really enjoyed the progression of my besat squad members as well.
