Wario Ware hits the Cube! Good for those w/out the GBA!

Wario Ware Mega Micro Games was a huge hit on the handheld GBA! And no wonder! With 100s of minigames it was instantly addictive and had a warped sense of humor. Now it comes to the GameCube, but oddly pretty much INTACT other than a multiplayer option. Think of it as the ultimate party game and you'll be fine! The most fun multiplayer game in a long time, and nobody has to explain how to play.

They have opened up the ability to play and practice the minigames in a library section of the game. Now it's great if you want to learn how to do one you are stumbling over again and again, but it's kind of a cheat. You can become familiar with all the games and how to win pretty quickly. Which makes you no fun to play with when your friends grab a controller with you. And that is where the fun is! It also makes the solo version less fun because you can pretty much go to any level in the library and control the speed.

I would have expected some more advanced graphics, or more involved games ... but this one plays EXACTLY like the GBA -- you use the directional pad/joystick and the A button and that is it! People missing the Atari 2600 rejoice! The games are funny, and if you don't have the GBA version this version of WARIOWARE is the way to go -- your friends will love you. But if you do have that handheld ... you may want to rent or play your friends and just show them that you are already the master at picking noses, putting in eye drops, and teasing kittens!

This game is very good. Yet some simple minded people disregard it, why? It so simple it's fun, man me and my cousin were playing this game for probably 14 hours straight it is that good. The gist is simple but when you get into you can't stop playin' it, thats my word dog. Anyways if you want to know the best party game is the flashlight game it is so funny man you'll laugh till you die. I gotta go.

Good at first but...

This game is addictive and fun at first, until you play all the games twice, this is a great game. But after you've replayed all the mini games, this game is pretty boring ... I wouldn't buy this game, I'd definitely recommend you rent it but don't buy it unless you really, REALLY like it. A game you will want at a party.

Hysterical in more ways than one!

My friend rented this game on a whim when a bunch of us were just hanging out. We always had 4 people playing and a room full of people watching. Either way, the game is so much fun. The gameplay is confusing at first, but you can pick it up pretty quickly. And even if you can't figure it out, the insanity of it all is hilarious. 5-second mini-games with one word commands for instructions play against back drops of dance music growing constantly faster, balloons being inflated at rapid speed to blow you clear to the moon, or the sight of your friends stealing your cards while your back is turned.

There are 3 party versions and a one-player version. I suggest playing as a group. I laughed so hard my stomach ached. We stayed up for hours playing this game. We didn't even care who won, we enjoyed it so much. There are even classic Nintendo games thrown into the mix. Anyone remember that fly-swatter game from Mario Paint? Ok, I won't say anymore. If I give too much away, it won't be as funny when you see it.

Great for any age person, with a room full of good friends.

Some are missing the point...

The *beauty* of the game is that the micro-games are incredibly short and offer no explanation as to what you are supposed to do--it's not a flaw.

All the micro-games have only 5 controls: up, down, left, right, and button. In a couple seconds, you have to figure out what to do. With so few controls and such a short window, you *know* it's going to be something very simple, you just have to try and figure it out.

Even if you fail, you usually glean some info as to what you *should* have done, so the next time that puzzle comes around, you'll be ready for it.

It's hilarious to play this game in a group, and watch people try to do the right thing in that breif moment. Everyone gradually starts to identify the puzzles as they begin to repeat, and then it's about who has the fastest hands and best learning curve.

This is a great party game; just encourage all participants to go with the flow, and not get frustrated by the lack of instruction. Figuring out what to do in a couple of seconds without any instruction is really the heart of the game, and it's great fun if you give in to it.

WarioWare on the GC

I have to admit, I loved the first game on the GBA. It was fun, simple, and random. Now it has been released for the GC with little changes. For those of you who don't know about WarioWare, it is a game where you play 5 second mini games in random order and try to go as high as you can.

The only changes in this game is the multiplayer feature. Multiplayer was in the original in the form of L and R games using one GBA. However in this game, you have choices in what you want to do. For instance, you can test your skill to see who can is the better microgame champ in the 'Fever' mode. Or, you can see who gets blown to bits in the 'Balloon Bang' game where one player plays microgames while the others fill a big balloon with air. If the player wins the game, the next player has to play one; if they fail, they must keep playing until they do. Overall there are 5 Multiplayer modes and 3 modes where 16 people can play with one controller.

There are some new mini games, but about 95% of all the minigames are from the original. The new mini games are for the multiplayer modes and are interesting to say the least. Some of them are plain cheap while others require skill or just luck.

Single player mode is really lame considering it is almost identical to the GBA mode. I mean I would rather play those microgames on my GBA then on the big screen. This game can be completed faster than the GBA game and is not as fun. The only redeeming factor has to be the multiplayer, which is random and simplistic just like the original game.

This game should only be picked up if you don't own the first game or you're one of those gamers who love multiplayer games. For the rest of you, go out and buy the original if you haven't.

Pros
- Great Multiplayer modes
- Fast action minigames
- A few new minigames have been added
- You can use your GBA as a controller if you prefer

Cons
- Single player mode is just not the same as it is on the GBA
- Most of the minigames are from the original
- The game can be completed really fast

This Game is so FUN!

I played this game w/ my friends and it ROCKS. I especially love messing them up when theey're doing the minigames. but I HATE the one microgame where the lady has the snot running out of her nose and she sucks u up w/ it, that's just gross.
overall, this is such a fun game, i would DEFINATELY buy it!

If you're a person who only likes to beat the game and throw it in your cabinet and never play it again, this isn't the game for you. Everyone believes this is a bad game because it is easy to beat, which it kind of is. But if you have a brother/sister/friend that is there that you can play this with, it is non-stop fun. This game consists of 5-second micro-arcade games that are absolutely crazy. Sometimes in the funny way. Sometimes in the creepy way. I sometimes find myself laughing out loud when I'm playing this, because its so crazy. You have games from avoiding things that people throw at you while you're on a motorcycle, to trapping some noodle-headed alien that is running around. This is a great party game.

Sound- 8.5/10 I kinda like the sounds in this game, though they're kinda wierd sometimes :)

Graphics- 8/10 Its cartoon graphics so you have to learn to appreciate them

Fun- 8/10, 10/10 when you have some friends over. Great fun.

Overal- 8.5/10 A great game for people like me

Wario is back once again trying to make a quick billion from his increasingly popular Wario Ware titles. Oh man, this game is certainly addictive and has caught my attention and genuinely kept my interest just as the wonderful GBA pocket version did. This game is truly the ultimate multiplayer game. Wario Ware for GCN offers in game interaction but also offers out of game interaction. Yes, you heard that right. Wario Ware, Inc: Mega Party Game$ encourages players to act out while playing the game... It's a magnificent concept, I only hope it is not overlooked. The different modes of multiplay have yet to become boring to me and all of my loyale friends (some who like it alot, some who tolerate it and some who just don't understand). The single player is limited to different modes of play involving the 200+ mini games, but also offers free and challenge play for each game. A time consuming challenge indeed. My only complaint is the lack of a bot feature for the multiplayer games... for those times when a lot of friends are not available. But, nevertheless, It is a great game for everyone and you just can't beat the suggested retail price. Go out an buy it for Wario's belly's sake. You wont be dissapointed. (...)

I love this game - addicting and fun!

At first the game took a while to adjust to - it is strange, incredibly fast paced, and good times all around. Great for if you're in the mood to get the adrenaline going with a few close friends.

I'm hooked!!
