game for all you ADD freaks

I just played this game at Best Buy yesterday, needless to say I was ready to rip the GBA off the display, smash it into bits, and run away with the delicious Wario goodness.

The gameplay itself is VERY simple. You use the d-pad and the a button and that's it. There are 200 different mini-games that play randomly. There is everything from a karate guy chopping a log in half to ski jumping, even old school NES game shorts. The amazing thing about this game is you have 3 seconds or so to figure out how to win each mini-game.

I had a blast playing this, if you do not have a GBA yet this is one of those titles that should make you seriously consider picking one up. Who knew you could have so much fun making a finger go up a nose :p

Best GBA game of all time

When I first got the game, it was all I could play. 200+ 5 second games that you have to figure out how to do while playing them. What could be more fun? My favorite genres are 9-volt's Nintendo and Orbulon's I.Q. games. I highly recommend this game to anyone with a gba.

Psychotic Fun

Wario Ware, Inc: Mega Microgame$ is the most neurotic, seizure-inducing game I've ever played. In it, you are hot-dropped into a game, and you must figure out what is going on and complete the game's task, before your five seconds are up and you are dropped into another, completely different game. Insane.

And good luck trying to wrestle the game out of your friends' hands. It's incredibly playable; I've passed this game off randomly to friends, who invariably cackle maniacally, then yell "What the heck is this?" and then start cursing for the next half hour.

Great sound, some rockin tunes, graphics that run the spectrum from sub-par to breathtaking, and gameplay that just won't quit. I've beaten the game, and there are so many unlockables left, I'm still fixated. More extras than you can shake a stick at. Worth the time and money.

Excellent in all directions!

This game is addictive, fun, funny, action and loads more! THERE IS A PLOT. The plot is that a new game is released and you have to defeat to put wario in buisness, But it doesn't end there it keeps going! I've had it for 1 1/2 years and stil play it a lot!
You have to buy it if you have a gameboy advance!!!!!

The best reason to buy gameboy.

The gameboy is a cool concept of taking games anywhere but most of the games for it are either intensive action arcade games or long RPG or strategy games. This is a game that makes the gameboy do what it was designed for. Plug in wario ware and play for five minutes, you'll have a blast and you'll advance to unlocking more of the minigames. Makes it so that you can use your gameboy while you're standing in line at the bank.

Awesome Game!

I was looking for a game to take on a trip and i saw this game. if you dont like playing for a long time, this is for you. it would be 5 stars but i rated it 4 stars because it is easy. you have a bunch of differnt characters and they each have their own genre, then you play through a bunch of 10 second games to get to the boss and you go through like that. some of the bosses that you beat give you extra games. you always have fun playing this game and it takes a long time to get tired of it and i recomend people to buy it.

Absurdly addictive, very fun -- even for non-gamers.

I got this game recently after having played it in a store display. It's really exciting to me as a gamer because it reduces games to the barest essentials. No instructions save for a single word, your wits and quick reactions. It's all about speed and problem-solving... and it's over in the blink of an eye.
But that doesn't mean you have to be a hardcore button-masher with reflexes that measure in the nanosecond range. My girlfriend, not a big videogame fan beyond Tetris, has become addicted to this game.
It's got simple games that ask you to perform a single task, and the simplicity is the draw. But for those who can figure it out, the games get faster (to a point where it's either physically impossible to complete them in a given time or you've got to have unbelievable reaction and control) and more challenging. And with over 200 games, there's plenty of variety.
Some have said the game is too short. Yes, it doesn't take long to unlock everything, but that's part of the fun. And even when everything's unlocked, you've got the unbelievably challenging "Thrilling" mode which throws level 2 & level 3 versions of the games (every game has three levels of difficulty) at you, and failing even once means game over. This has kept me coming back for more.
Plus you get Dr. Wario, a clone of Dr. Mario and every bit as fun as the original, and several unlockable mini-games. My only complaint is that the game you unlock for getting the high score in all other games is a bit too easy -- but hey, there's still Thrilling.
The game has a totally warped sense of humor, and you'll be scratching your head wondering where most stuff came from (bouncing melons off of people; picking noses; shaking dogs' hands; covering a big gut with a t-shirt, etc), but it's great fun.
And the best part? You can pick it up and quit with ease, assuming you're not addicted. If you just want a quick fix to relax your mind, it's perfect. But just be careful... one game will turn into two... which turns into three, and so on.

I love it. Worth every penny.

Different, but excellent

One of the reasons I don't like video games as much as I used to like them is due to the rising complexity that they feature. Games used to take just seconds to learn, but now you'll often find yourself reading the instruction booklet multiple times before you learn how to play a game. Fortunately, in 2003, Nintendo attempted a return to simplicity with Wario Ware, Inc. Mega Microgame$. How does it measure up? Read on for my review of this game.

PROS:
-SIMPLICITY IS THIS GAME'S GREATEST STRENGTH. The objectives in this game are extremely simplistic and to the point, but challenging nonetheless. The games usually only require single button presses, meaning anyone can learn them in just seconds.
-LOTS OF VARIETY. Despite the fact that these are all simplistic games, there are so many different kinds of them featured here that you're not going to get tired of them quickly. Many gamers claim that they are still addicted to this game, long after beating it.
-THE GAME IS UNIVERSALLY APPEALING. Younger gamers are going to enjoy the game because it is so easy to learn, and parents aren't going to mind having their children play it due to the lack of violence and/or explicit material.

CONS:
-THERE IS NO STORYLINE, BUT THE GAME SEEMS TO INSIST THAT THERE IS ONE. The game features no true story whatsoever, but for some reason, there are CUT SCENES THAT YOU CAN'T SKIP! This is just too stupid. I don't know what Nintendo's deal is with forbidding their gamers to skip cut scenes, but they really need to cut this out (no pun intended.)
-THE SIMPLISTIC NATURE OF THIS GAME ISN'T FOR EVERYONE. Even though I'm one to resent complexity in video gaming, not everyone is like that. Many gamers will be disappointed by the lack of so many of the things they have come to love in the recent entries in the Mario series.

OVERALL:
Overall this is a very good game, and I can really see more people playing it than I can see not playing it. If you're a fan of classic gaming, and you want to take a trip back in time to an era when games were both fun and easy to learn, pick this game up. It's doubtful you'll be disappointed.

Great if you have A.D.D.

This game is really lots of mini games rolled into one. It's a solid original concept. Some of the games make you laugh so hard you nearly wet yourself when you see them for the first time (i.e. finger in the nose) and some can be quasi infuriating at first. I beat the game pretty fast though so I could only give it 3 stars even though thats the only knock on this game.

Really fun game

I really like this game for a few reasons: 1) There is so much variety! Some of the levels have really funny, kooky stuff in them. 2) It's the kind of game that's easy to pick up and put down. If you have 5 minutes or an hour, you'll enjoy it just the same. 3) Even if you play the same game 10 times, it will never be exactly the same, because the mini-games are mixed randomly so it's a little different every time. Not being a huge video game freak, I think this game is probably one of the 3 most fun games I've ever played.
