game for all you ADD freaks

I just played this game at Best Buy yesterday, needless to say I was ready to rip the GBA off the display, smash it into bits, and run away with the delicious Wario goodness.

The gameplay itself is VERY simple. You use the d-pad and the a button and that's it. There are 200 different mini-games that play randomly. There is everything from a karate guy chopping a log in half to ski jumping, even old school NES game shorts. The amazing thing about this game is you have 3 seconds or so to figure out how to win each mini-game.

I had a blast playing this, if you do not have a GBA yet this is one of those titles that should make you seriously consider picking one up. Who knew you could have so much fun making a finger go up a nose :p

Great game!

A new Tetris

a game so endlessly fun its insane
The concept is simple and begins simple. You play one mini game for close to five seconds where you are then quickly taken to the next, in the five seconds you have you have to determine the goal and acheive it. Its all fun and games early on, but as the levels progress it moves much MUCH faster. After you beat the game you can go back and play all the games(all of which will not be unlocked until at least 2 times through) Playing the grid which is essentially playing the same game over and over with it progressively getting harder and faster is one of the most fun parts. It keeps your high score for the level as well as all the individual games...thats over 220 high scores to compete against. also many larger games can be unlocked...including a near full version of Dr Mario

If your a Nintendo fan, its a must. If your a GBA fan, its a must and if your not THIS IS THE TIME TO START.

Its worth mentioning that this game is incredably Japanese. I read a review that mentioned a casual American might get some culture shock and thats true if your not used to things that are as flamboyant and bizare....to bad this game will probably suffer from poor sales and us americans will never ge treated to a sequel

please prove me wrong

Fast pased fun - hard to put down

WarioWare is sort of a hard game to explain. The main game presents the player with 10-25 short challenge games followed by a "boss game" which lasts a little longer. The short games are shown to the player with no explaination given and you get 3 to 5 seconds to complete them. Some of them are self-explainatory (one is Donkey Kong and you have to jump the rolling barrel) while some are incomprehensible at first. You have to play them several times to figure out what the objective is and how to accomplish it. There are so many different games presented in random order that it never seems to get old.

The games are grouped into several categories. Sports, IQ games, Nintendo (a collection of minigames modelled after classic games), Scifi, Wacky, Food, and others. Many of the games are laugh out loud funny, and some are juvenile but made me laugh any way. I'll describe some of them briefly - remember you only have 3-5 seconds to do this. 1) Eat a banana 2) escape getting stomped by a foot 3) help the aliens escape getting caught in a glass 4) Cut through a piece of meat for dinner 5) Brush someone's teeth 6) stick a finger in a nose 7) put eyedrops in an eye 8) Karate chop through wood 9) block a soccer ball from a goal 10) Hit baseballs coming at you.

Hopefully those descriptions give you some idea of the flavor - there are over 200 to do. As you go through the game and beat the levels, you unlock other games. After you have beaten a level you can go back and play the games you beat for practice. Some of them are 2 player mini games that are played at the same time with two people on one GameBoy. Still more gameplay is squeezed out by going back and trying to get the high score on an individual level or a group of levels. You go back and play them over and over for score until you lose.

Some of the games require reading so young children may need a little help with them. Otherwise this is a game that all ages (both boys & girls) will enjoy. Wario Ware gets 5/5 - highly recommended.

200 GAMES + FAST ACTION = NONSTOP FUN!

Sure, some of the games may not make any sense at all, but that doesn't effect the fun level at all! One of my current favorites is 9-Volt's Zelda game. Run, Link, run! The games go from picking noeses to tickiling Wario. I have Super Mario Advance 2, Yoshi's Island 3, Metroid Fuosin and this game. Metroid Fusion is pretty cool, but Wario Ware still beats that game! But still I recomend that you buy Metroid Fusion also at Amazon.com.

Fun, Fast, Addictive as Heck

This really is the game for people with attention deficit disorder. Each level contains about 10 minigames, each of which you play for three seconds.

It's cute, and fun, but it can also be very frustrating, because you're only allowed to mess up a certain number of minigames per level. Once you pass that, you have to start the level over.

I originally gave this game only 3 stars, but after playing and playing and playing it I've had to edit my review and up my rating. It's truly addictive, lots of fun, and (despite what another reviewer said) appropriate for all ages. (Honestly, imagine being worried about your child seeing nose-picking. I don't know any little kid I haven't seen picking his or her nose at least once!)

One bonus -- you can unlock the full version of the classic game Dr. Mario. It's even better than the original Gameboy game, because it's in full color, the viruses have faces, and it's Wario, not Mario, tossing the pills.

Bottom line: this game is pure fun.

Incredibly addictive

When I first heard about this game I thought I wouldn't want to play it. Minigames? What's the point? My old game and watch gallery cartridge was gathering dust.

I couldn't be more wrong!

This game is amazing! You play 5 second games, all growing ever faster and more difficult. You can unlock some great stuff too, like the full version of Dr. Mario! So you might have 5 seconds to shoot the mother brain in Metroid, or to jump a hurdle, or cut through a steak! Strange games, very post modern, but man are they addictive.
