Fortunately I rented this game before I made the mistake of purchasing it. It took a total of 6 hours to complete the entire game (this includes finding the secret rooms and items). One would expect alot longer playing time from a new game.It was very dissapointing to my children. There is very little challange in the game and no replay value what so ever for experienced game players. Even my four year old quickly figured it out. I would not reccomend this game to even the hardcore Harry Potter fan.

I Came Close to Shredding this Game

I've never been more frustrated in a video game in my entire life. Not only can you not save the game after you complete a level after trying it numerous times, it's so hard to control your moves, for example, the FLYING SCENES. Couldn't they have made it a little more easy to control your moves like maybe, just right and left instead of having to control up, down, right and left, and occasionally ram into someone at the same time. After numerous times of chasing Malfoy on a broom, I finally defeated him, only to find myself in a Quidditch arena trying to play that game with no direction at all. If you don't win at that, you start Quidditch ALL OVER, or go back to try and beat Malfoy AGAIN on the brooms. I would have been happy if I could have saved the game after I defeated Malfoy on the broom. I rented this game for my son before buying it. I have to bring it back now without even getting halfway thru the game because I can't get past this one level. This should not be rated E for Everyone!

This game is one of the most enjoyable i have ever played. Although this is owing mostly to my love of the books it still stand tall on it's own. With many other games you spend a long time on one challenge preventing you from continuing with your game and rendering the disc you have purchased some days earlier useless. This is a game that is accesable to anyone of any who enjoys the magic of the books or the games. On a first run through the game it may seem like there is not much to it, but if you explore hogwarts you will find the sub challenges very enjoyable. One of these that appealed to me was the search for the 17 witches and wizards cards. the first time i completed it i only found 6 but on later attempts i found that you just needed look around a bit and they were almost staring you in the face behind a secret bookcase or a compartment in a brick wall. Quidditch is also an ingenious addition. The controls they have selected for flight far surpass those of the rest of the game and make it a very enjoyable experience.
All in all a brilliant game and one of the best of the back of a film lisence i have seen.

amazing! If you can't beat the flying lesson you stink!

My grandson and I play it. The only thing you do need a memory card to save where you are, are you have to start over from the beginning.. It's not real hard. My grandson enjoys it so do I.

This has been driving me crazy; you have to fill 3 slot thingers with Knuts, Sickles, and Galleons. What ever happened to 'You can keep the ones you collect and come back for more once you run out'? Come on: let's just collect the Knuts by flying around on a mine cart. I'm not trying to complain, but that is a bit...um...dazy?

This is a challenging game for all ages, although someone experienced may find it boring. I found it hard to beat without a memory card, so that is a must for the game. I especially liked the flying lessons and quidditch. It's fairly easy to learn to control, and it looks really cool when you're flying!

It's fun!

I played this at my friends house and I am hoping to buy it. It's really fun and it is hard at points. The one thing that ticked me off ALOT was how you had to cast spells and that you can only jump at certain points in the game. But besides that its fun. If you want longer gameplay, get this one and not the computer game. The computer game is fun, but its a pretty short game.

The BEST!
