Graphics are the same as the Dreamcast??? Hahahahahah....This system is superior in every way when it comes to Dreamcast. Plus, with the awesome graphics and the gameplay of PS2, this system will rule the Xbox. Blah blah blah, hardware is better in the Xbox, some can argue that when the PS2 reaches it potential, its better than the Xbox. Remember, all are 128 bit machines people. But will Xbox have Metal Gear Solid 2 when it comes out? Will Xbox have Gran Turismo series? NOPE. These titles and a few more is what MAKES the PS2 the PS2. Get it, and you won't be sorry!!!

a very good bundle

Sure, I am. I love racing games and I just found my perfect match. This GT3 Package includes everything any gamer needs. The price believe me, it is excellent for what you get. PS2 became my entertainment centre my games and DVDs are playing all the time on it.

Great console, great game

The PS2 is definetly the best console, and thats because of the games. You might hear a lot of talk from the xbox or gamecube but without good games they're lost. Right now the PS2 is building a great library of games: Gran Turismo 3, MGS2, Twisted Metal Black, Devil may cry, and the list goes on and on.

If you take GT3: is the best driving simulator ever created on any system, period. In this game the PS2 really show its power. The game has the most beautiful graphics ever created for a racing game, a soundtrack that keeps your adrenaline high, a huge selection of cars and tracks, and finally an awesome realism that will keep you playing this game for months and months.

You can't be wrong with this bundle it includes everthing you need and the price is right. Don't pay atention to the reviews that give only 1 star to the ps2, that are from some guy with a lot of time in hands and spends the whole day wrinting bad reviews for the ps2.

A Tip

A tip to last a lifetime: never trust anyone that can't spell "finally." This is a great system to own if you don't already have a PSX, considering it plays all of the old games as well. If you already have a Playstation, I'd suggest you wait until there's a bigger selection of PS2 games available or until you feel you're behind the times in technology.

But overall, if you want a good starting system, it would be it. There's literally thousands of old Playstation games at relatively low prices that're easy to find. A must-have for any die-hard gamer or beginner in the business.

Its good but not great

I have a ps2 unlike these other bashers its fine i get games before xbox and gamecube but im gonna pick up an xbox as well because of it being the most powerful system and having the best graphics. Others will say power doesnt matter but its the only other good system and i usually have had 2 consoles. The gamecube is disapointing besides having more ram and being able to show 8 textures at once its only a little more powerful that the ps2. The games on gamecube is alot more disappointing for the older gamer. I would recomend the gamecube for someone under the age of 12. Steer clear of gamecube if your not in that age group or you'll go insane by pokemon some other childish series of games. Nintendo is also known for delaying and canceling games. If ya want a system now get the ps2 if your patient get xbox.

Great System

This is a great system and will last for a long time. It plays DVDs and old PS games. What could be better? I wish they would make a Racer's Pack with NASCAR Heat 2002.

P.S. Why do people write reviews when all they do is blast the system and forget about using proper punctuation? I hate it when I am trying to base my purchasing decision on reviews and all I can find is garbage from people trying to drag down the ratings for a particular item.

Great System!

Let the facts speak for themselves

The problem with most game system reviews today is that there's far more emotion than logic. Writers dwell upon why a particular system is their own favorite system, then give little more than lip service to what other gamers may think.

In an effort to counter these often senseless reviews, I present this: a compilation of system comparisons. This information is intended for people who have not yet purchased a system and are trying to determine which piece of hardware is best for them.

SEGA DREAMCAST [] Release date: September 9, 1999 [] Graphics support: 128 bits [] CPU: 200MHz [] Memory: 16MB main, 8MB video, 2MB sound [] Controller ports: 4 [] Extra features: Built-in 56k modem [] Game library: Low hundreds (stagnant)

PLAYSTATION 2 [] Release date: October 26, 2000 [] Graphics support: 128 bits [] CPU: 294MHz [] Memory: 32MB main, 4MB video, 2MB sound [] Controller ports: 2 [] Extra features: DVD player, PlayStation backward compatibility [] Game library: Low hundreds (growing) plus several hundred PS1 games (stagnant)

NINTENDO GAMECUBE [] Anticipated release date: November 5, 2001 [] Graphics support: 64 bits [] CPU: 485 MHz [] Memory: 40MB comprehensive [] Controller ports: 4 [] Extra features: Game Boy Advance systems can be used as GameCube controllers [] Game library: Estimated 15-20 at launch (growing)

MICROSOFT X-BOX [] Anticipated release date: November 8, 2001 [] Graphics support: Unconfirmed [] CPU: 733 MHz [] Memory: 64MB comprehensive [] Controller ports: 4 [] Extra features: Built-in online capabilities, hard drive will enable several new features [] Game library: Estimated 15-20 at launch (growing)

I greatly advise you to get out and try the systems -- all the systems -- before you purchase any of them. But parents, when in doubt, use the following logic: Which system are games on which Little Jimmy is always talking about? There you go; you have your answer.

Great Deal!

This is one of the better bundles I've seen in quite a while. Aside from the fact that you're getting a Playstation 2, you're getting one of the best games released for the system so far. To say that the overall experience derived from this game was fantastic would be an understatement. This is about as close as you're going to get to real racing without sitting in a stock car. Graphic wise, I do consider myself a fan of the series in general, as the detailing of the cars was often unmatched. However after playing this game, the previous PS1 titles look horrible and are rendered almost unplayable. It really is that good. If you're a fan of either of the first two games and don't have a PS2, this is a must buy!

Wow! That's pretty much the word I need to describe this bundle. Originally when I was looking for a Ps2, I wuz going for the normal Gt3 bundle (you know, with the extra Dualshock 2 and Memory card along with the Gt3 and system) for 400 dollars. That was on EBgames.com. Then I saw this. Wow!. All that stuff that I was going to get, plus 6 EGM magazines (which are great) AND the Gt3 player's guide. For the same price.

If you don't have a Ps2, and are looking for one, this is a great start. It gives you all the basics you need to play, including a extra DualShock 2 for multiplayer. Oh yeah, and if you figure it out, you're saving almost 75 dollars if you buy this bundle.
