This everything you've expected and then some.

First of all, I know how most games in this typed of genre are overrated. Trust me, I went out and bought MCII because of this and after a week I was bored and frustrated with it and ultimately sold it. But man after downloading the demo of NFSU,
I was blown away once it fired up. This game is simply amazing. It's like 2Fast 2Furious is being ren-acted on my monitor. It's that great. But for starters, I would only recommend buying the PC version only if you have a very new high-end computer and DSL, if not get it on the consoles. The great graphics alone are a must have. But to get down to how the game is. This game is truly authentic because you can virtually customize anything on or to your car. In the demo it shows a car blank without any mods and then it converts it to being fully done. So, I can't wait for the full version so I can do it myself. The driving is so much fun because it's so real. When you hit high speeds you have much dificulty controlling the car. If you manually shift and you overrev the car bogs down. If you hit NOS in low gears you blow your engine. If you crash thats it you're done. This is all just in the demo. Finally, what every one's wanted in a import racing game is here: drag racing. It's great, it's exactly how anyone would picture it. The online play is very addicting also. So with all this said, all I can say is buy this game. If you have a high-end PC and DSL download it for yourself and be amazed.

I bought Need for Speed Underground the very day it came out and I haven't put it down since. The graphics are incredible. If you have an ATI Radeon 9600, a Pentium 4 processor, you're in for some serious I candy. The graphics get blury when you start going fast, and the lights on the side of the road leave trails when you turn or go fast, especially when you hit the nitrous button. Now here's what I have to say about the car customization. There are nearly limitless possibilities. You can customize just about everything on your car. From the paint to the rims to the muffler tip, almost anything is possible. The game modes are as follows

1. Circuit: The same as in previous NFS games. Race on charted courses through the city and finish laps as fast as you can.

2.Sprint: Race on parts of the circuit tracks from point A to point B

3. Drift: Get sideways to score big points. If you're in the tuner scene, you'll know what this is.

4. Lap Knock-out: Last place driver on each lap is eliminated.

And finally the best for last...
DRAG RACING!!!!! The origin of Street racing. It's about ten times as intense as anything on four wheels. Those that use an automatic transmission beware. You have to use a manual transmission in drag racing. You can't just not turn and floor it if you expect to win. You also gotta launch at the right time and nail those shifts. If you have NOS, it's going to be extremely intense on the strip.

To sum it up, if you liked the previous NFS games with luxury exotic cars, you might be dissapointed. But if you enjoyed seeing Paul Walker, Vin Deisel, and Tyrese tear it up in "The Fast and the Furious" and "2Fast 2Furious", you're gonna liove this game.

This game is said to be similar to the previous NFS game called Motor City Online because in this you will be racing for Money and buying new parts to upgrade you vehicle. After reviewing the NFSU web site i think that this will be a game thats well worth the money

This a great game if you like to drive fast cars. You can pass and get different tracks and your skill is improving while you are winning reputation.
The scenes are inside many places in a city (at night) and you can get new cars and customize them.
Only one Con: You don't have police cars behind you, maybe this reduces your emotion inside the game.

Excellent racing game. Great graphics and a real "feel" for the road if you have a Force feedback wheel & pedddles. I have about 40 racing games and this is one of my favorite 5.

By today's standards, this is still one awsome game. Plenty of visual treats for the eyes. For some reason the road looks shiny and glossy. I'm not aware of roads looking like that in real life, but it still works for this game. Just put the game on full settings. Sure the music will either work or not work, depending on your preferences. But fortunately there's a download out there you can use to actually change the music(not an official download, but hey you gotta change the music right?). Search and you'll find it. Infact, that's why I'm playing this game more than NFSU 2 right now, because I can change the music.

Not everyone is into the Drag and Drift and the included music, so for fun I give it 4 stars. But regardless of like or dislike, the quality is great so overall it's 5 stars for this one.

well.. if you are a street racing and a car tuning fan, then i guess this is a must for u.
has many extra features, i loved the best part where you can customise your car to pump out a lot more hp to burn some serious rubbuer. good car control, and reasltic graphics has some good effect. however, car control is not as responsive in the drag route.

This game is the best. The graphics are extremly good. The floor sometimes looks like water thought. Many cars to choose from. That includes the Nissan Skyline and Honda S2000. There are many choses to upgrade your car with. You can buy neon, NOS, bumpers, side skirts, engine upgrades, Rims and much more. Buy the game to find out what they look like.

I like the races and really like customizing the cars and racing them. There are different types of races: Drag, Drift, Sprint, Circuit, Lap Knock Out, and more!! If you want to get a really good street racing game, or just want to get a cool car and put NOS on it and customize it's visuals, This is definitely the game you'd want to get.

Great game for the pc.
I am very satisfied with this game.
This game is mostly about upgrading your
vehicle and unlocking new features as you race.
Please keep that in mind.
I would have liked to seen some type of
damage happen to the vehicles. But,
sound effects, graphics and music are great.
I don't play games as much as most people.
But, this game is definetly worth buying
for any age.
