Should've been the limited edition plus the helmet... BOO!

This is a pretty pathetic move on their part. Not sure if it's Bungie's choice or Microsoft's... but the helmet is essentially the best part. You don't get the sweet metal case like the limited edition. Hell, you don't even get the standard green DVD cases that 360 games usually come in (even the pictures show the green cases). You just get plain black plastic ones. It should have at least included the little bestiary book (the "legendary" version just has a DVD version). The thing is obviously built to hold the big metal case of the limited edition. It's as if somebody realized after the design was finalized that they could get the hardcore fans to buy both the limited and legendary editions if they skimped on the innards of the legendary edition.

There's absolutely no excuse, considering the price, that this shouldn't expand on the limited edition. For shame. Did they really need the extra money?

Unless you really want the helmet, save your money. You're not going to get much else.

With Gears of War already out, this is just going to add to the big slap in the face of PS3. Sony has tried for over 5 year to get a halo killer now they have to find a Gears of War and Halo 3 killer...good luck. this game will be the game to end all games ...look out now!

I got this for my kid and he loves it. I was very surprised to see all the goodies that came with it. The helmet is not adult sized which is why I didnt get one for my self but it is a good sized helmet.

If your a Halo Fan the helmet is worth it!

I am not going to review the game because you can get that anywhere....IF you are a Halo Fan or a collector the Legendary addition is great for one reason. The Helmet....larger and better quality than I expected. I don't normally fall to the hype of games but the Legendary addition is worth it for the helmet alone...

This Halo 3 pack is really rediculous when you think about it. Nobody needs half the stuff that comes with it or the pretty packaging itself. Only the hardcore fans will shell out the money for this. Don't think me a hater, I'm not. I dig this game in the extreme (along with Killzone; though I'm actually anticipating Killzone 2 more than Halo 3). I've spent many hours fragging and being fragged online much to the detrement of my GPA. But this bundle is only for the fanz of Trekky proportions. That being said I can't wait to play H3.

Excellent game... For the 15 mins it lasted.

I know this will probably ruffle alot of feathers but I have to say that i'm not very happy with this penultimate edition of the Halo series. Don't get me wrong, the graphics and sound and even the story was very good. No complaints there. But it just seemed to me that the whole game took about half as long as the previous games to play. Where I felt the game should just be getting started, it was over. Granted, i played the game on the normal difficulty. But i believe the only reason that the gameplay would be longer on legendary would be because I would have to reload three times as often. I just remember playing the first Halo for what seemed like a month... and for Halo 3 it took 2 days. Enjoyable game, which I'm sure will give me hours of enjoyment thru Multiplayer (love odd ball) but otherwise, the story mode and the length of the game came up short for me. By 3 weeks.

Save your money

The reason I say save your money is it is just a plastic helmet. Buy the game by itself and use the saved money to get another game. The helmet is cool looking but that is about it. Eventually you will grow tired of it, take it to Gamestop to sell it, and they won't even want it. I love the game, but the helmet is no more of a collectible than my empty bottle of Halo 3 Mountain Dew.

Why you SHOULD NOT buy Halo 3 Legendary Edition, and why you SHOULD buy Halo 3 Limited Edition.

Halo 3 legendary edition has the following components in them: Halo 3 (game), a bonus disc with all of these great features, another disc with basically the cutscenes from Halo 1 and 2, all edited together and of course the Master Cheif helmet. Where did Bungie go wrong? The second bonus disc with the cutscenes from Halo 1 and 2 are cropped so badly, that it looks better if you would just replay Halo 1 and 2. Other then that, the first bonus disc is great- but it comes with Halo 3 limited edition as well. The Master Cheif helmet is not wearable. It is only a game holder for 3 cases. Halo 1, 2 and 3? Not quite. Halo 3 has 2 DVD cases (the game and the bonus material), and there is not enough room for 4 cases in the helmet. This is a MAJOR flaw in the design. If I cannot wear the helmet, which I want to, then I want to atleast fit Halo 1, 2, 3 and the bonus disci n the helmet. This is not the case. As far as the game goes, Halo 3 is top notch. I recommend the game, but not in the Legendary Edition. Overall, I would just go with the Limited Edition, because it has an awesome case. The Legendary Edition, Halo 3 game, comes in a standard DVD case, and it is nothing special at all. It is black, and not the usual neon green of a normal Xbox 360 game. The Legendary Edition just feels like an afterthough.

Im very, very happy that i bought the legendary edition because for big fans and no fans the package is just beautiful, the helmet is a perfect replica of master chief's and the extras are worth the extra money.

The game is the best one in the trilogy and the ending is awesome i really liked it a lot, it was worth the wait to have this beautiful game.
If you liked halo 1 and 2 like i did dont hesitate in buying the third installment is a great game great graphics and to much fun, and i strongly recommend to you to buy this edition believe me is a very beautifull edition with great extras for all halo fans. this edition is worth the extra money every penny.
